Reuben Nebbett-Blades The claps are in 7/4 so it works although it would make sense to feel the riff in 7/8, whoch would make the claps on the upbeat every other measure. But it works 👌🏻
@@user-jr2vh3mp3e Yeah I like that switch between down and upbeats that you get from an odd metre over an even pulse with accents every 2nd. I've used it intentionally in music I've written but I couldn't help but chuckle as the crowd did what they did. You make a good point.
The variation they do live at 3:11 is something out of this world. Just that riff, without the keyboard backing track it's... amazing. Every break in-between notes is pure bliss to me.
Depends on the style of music, I guess. I do believe live shows are an experience that should add to the music, otherwise you might as well just listen to well-produced recordings at home, but not every concert will be a Pink Floyd, Babymetal or Def Leppard spectacle.
Not sure if impressed or a bit disappointed.. Impressed by their technical capability as everything seems so effortless and at the same time wondering where's the emotion
absolutely and its so evident on everyones face they are looking at him with hope many times lol again no disrespect but its just what it is @@michaelperkins399
LOL these comments about their stage presence kills me! It's great stuff...i wonder if Plini is using Neural DSP or Fractal live onstage? I've heard great things but i don't know if Neural DSP is solid stable (ie: doesn't crash)
Emmanuel Haque yes that’s the same drummer. They played flawlessly! I have a video of this song on my channel that I recorded that night. It sounded soooooo epically amazing!
The drummer is good and all, but is not “Troy Wright” kind of good, check that version instead... it sets the standard of how this song should be played on the drums imo
@@EmmanuelPHaque Because it's live and even the most organised bands sound off during lives. He is just as good as the rest of this band. Listening highly edited and mix/mastered songs on spotify has a huge difference between listening to something live.
What did you expect from some random guy filming? Also different drummer than the studio version. Not that he's worse, but hes not playing the exact notes. Check out Kind live (2020) by plini and it's just as good as the album
"Hey, Vsauce. Michael here on the drums".
lmao I hand't noticed and when I read this I scrolled up and almost spit my coffee
Salvatore marrano of Thank You Scientist
I Can't Unsee It😂🤣
I noticed it and hopped i wasn't the only one 🤣💀
I thought I was the only one but thanks
Must be fun for the band when the crowd claps in 4/4 over their 7/8.

I hate noisy audiences happens mostly with the USA crowds.

makes no difference to them.
to be fair, plini started it
When you have 2 guitarists but still use a backing track for the intro lol
That was honest extremely confusing.

That other comment about stage presence is so true, quite funny how they stare into the crowd’s souls here though
I love this song so much and the playing is amazing if you close you eyes but they all have the collective stage presence of a shoe.
hahaha that's true but it's hard to jump and move around when you've gotta play quite technically
@@nibbagee3640 I'm gonna be performing this in a month live, let's see if I can do better

@@nielsvanheteren1662 How did you go?
Plini just taught the crowd how to clap in 7/8. Respect
Damn that bass player was killing it
Watching Plini live in Melbourne was one of the best experiences of my life!!! 🤘🤘
Love to see Michael from Vsauce on drums
I always tear up when i hear that piano part
my biggest and most favuorite song i have heard before in my life!
Drummer seems to be sleeped until 4:55...then he explodes!
omg....you can be relaxed on the drums...but when you are so behind the click you have to wake up !!!!
this dude looks like hes always at home
The little shrug the drummer gives at the end lol
Not sure if impressed or a bit disappointed.. Impressed by their technical capability as everything seems so effortless and at the same time wondering where's the emotion
joe wasn’t feeling it ngl
it's the drums and the overall stage presence i thino
I love how the audience gives up clapping :3
I couldnt care less if they dont run around or whatever. They excellent. Very emotive song...almost scary
No doubt, this is one of the better things in the story
There's a lot of Piazzolla in there
Eventhough I love his musics I would say Plini doesn't look he likes being on stage... He looks bored 😂
Chris spicing things up a bit there on the drums. He’s is extremely good.
Оу! А я там был, было круто :)
Mükemmel hocam
Has some King Crimson vibes
Funny to see the man himself Nolly on drums!
3:11 *TIGHT*
And still the look at 3:23 is that a good thing or a bad thing?
@@gmailstandaard7014 I think it's a good thing
Is that samwell tarly on the base? XD
Millennial fun fun.
miss seeing Troy Wright on drums... no disrespect to the current drummer🤘🏾
Not sure who is who but the one in this video wasn't so impressive considering the calibre of guitarist and bassist he is working with

Can someone tell me if they have a background backing music for other parts of the music?
Ya think?
i've been to the canadian counterpart of this venue, why can't he come there 😥

Just watching the bass players hands in the breakdown
What's wrong with the drummer!
Nothing they’re all sooo good I saw them two nights ago and it was literally the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA someone didn't master his piece lol
@@chitarra0302 is that the same drummer? coz in every diff places he's got a diff session drummer
Emmanuel Haque yes that’s the same drummer. They played flawlessly! I have a video of this song on my channel that I recorded that night. It sounded soooooo epically amazing!
the live drums are different than the studio track, it's the same if you watch the troy wright drum cam!
Is the drummer Chris? Why is he struggling in the middle? Something looks wrong
Is there a third guitarist or is it half-playback?
swedishonur half playback I suppose. Quite lame right?
This is a blast beat city. If you can do it that is...
Calling you out and you know who I am!
Did the drummer made some mistakes in 1:13 ??
Si le falta al baterista para llegar al nivel de troy wright
Is that VSauce playing the drums??
why are people commenting on the drummer? whats wrong with him? o.O
Everyone's so used to hearing the studio version they felt weird when he does some substitution
No Blast ///

❤️ from Burma. with ❤️❤️🍎
Mesa heads and Marshall cabs. Only for those who really know...
ooooof i cringe so hard when its just the playback coming out of the speakers and they're standing there doing nothing
For everyone shitting on this video (why), go check out the Jakub Zytecki selenium forest version. Much better.
Where's troy
he plays with different session drummers each show even tho troy is easily the best of the ones he plays with
Young people need to put their phones down when at gigs. You don't need to video all your experiences.
Why people won't shut up and just listen?! 🙉
Emotionless performance. Like watching a highschool talent show. I'll just keep listening on spotify...
丹尼尔 I agree..
weird drummer
I felt this too. Something's off. I always listen to this song on Spotify and something's not right.
Called substitution, some sort of improv that prog drummer does on live shows. May sound weird for non drummers i think
@@EmmanuelPHaque Because it's live and even the most organised bands sound off during lives. He is just as good as the rest of this band. Listening highly edited and mix/mastered songs on spotify has a huge difference between listening to something live.
No doubt technically they excel but the emotion that lack of interaction with the audience and stage presence sucks.
Their album version is 20 times better than this crap. I came with high expectations. Come on man, after Polyphia this sucks

2 guitarists yet neither of them play the interesting bits, this is all just backing track and standing awkwardly still on stage. How embarrassing
Look at him really getting into it,his body going wild.🥱
