Thanks for the great review! I'm 5'9.5 with a 32in inseam (barefoot) which puts me at the very bottom range of canyon's medium. Also, my wingspan is 69". Based on other medium downcountry bikes I've reviewed, the Canyon cf in a small is more comparable in geometry. which size would you go for? The medium with a shorter stem, or a small? Keep in mind that I'm 52 and my hard charging downhill days are mostly behind me.. maybe something like leadville 50 or 100 someday. Thanks
I’m really considering an XC bike. I know this is conserved a down country. What do you think? Is this worth the money to race and still use it on regular everyday rides? My local trails are mostly quick up and down single track.
Yeah that’s how I use it. I race it as my xc bike, i do all my mtb intervals on it, it just has a bit more travel and is a bit more slack but I haven’t really noticed that being a limiting factor compared to what I was on before. A bike that climbs well is important for me and it climbs really well. It is of course a little heavier at this spec but it’s also quite robust bc of this.
I have this. Changed carbon wheels and xc tires. It's good, but not having udh which means I can't get sram transmission is such a fail. Also in eu the 100mm dropped on a 6'2"/188cm is just cmon..
What wheels and tires did you go with? Also the no UDH is a bummer but there are so many people who have upgraded from AXS to transmission and are willing to part with AXS for dirt cheap! It's not Transmission but better than cables. That's what I did. Also that's a huge bummer on the dropper length!

We got similar measurements. I ended up buying small canyon Lux and it’s fit me just too perfectly.

@@thestablecyclist I got kenda booster pros. The funny thing is that it took me like over a year to get them. They were sold out in 2.4" everywhere.
Shocks... of course..duh.😮.... sorry.
