Another good video ... it makes you think (about any place ) what history does this place have and how did it look in its early years.

I was there yesterday, walking along the footpath beside the station, and trying to figure out what that building was. So it was part of a pumping station. How interesting. Thanks for the info.
It's a pity this station doesn't take you direct to Birkenhead and then on to Liverpool. It would then get a it more use.

The problem is that the station is on the 27 mile long diesel Borderlands line from Bidston to Wrexham with one train per hour. The DfT has cancelled all the major electrification projects because of two technical advances.
    1. Battery/electric hybrid trains.
    2. Hydrogen Fuel Cell trains.
The battery trains would be the focus of this line to make it a Merseyrail Liverpool to Wrexham line, that can run on the 3rd rail electrified Merseyrail tracks in the Liverpool & Birkenhead tunnels and on the unelectrified Bidston to Wrexham track on batteries. Then 3 or 4 trains per hour would be feasible and it will be _much_ faster.

I would have NEVER guessed that the area by that old brick ruin looked like that. I was completely amazed! Great videos!

Here in October 2022, upton St. Is still there, I think it gets used a lot more now.

Interesting video. There's plenty of curious landmarks on the Wirral, I wonder of anyone knows of the "Devils chair"? It's along Boundary road in Bidston, which in itself is a marvellous and curious construction, as in, why? Why take the enormous trouble, and it must have been a gigantic, laborious task, to carve out a road, without any motorised assistance. I can only imagine it was done by minor explosions and hammer and chisel. It seems strange to me, why bother? Unless it was done before Hoylake road, but even then, surely there was an easier route, it's not even straight.
That aside, if you walk along, with the sandstone walls either side, about halfway down the road, and look up to the left ( if walking towards Bidston village ) right at the top there appears two pillars, perhaps metal, and a step, giving the appearance of a chair. I wondered if at one time it was a bridge?
I'd be interested what others think

Completely understandable. Why would anyone want to go to Upton. It’s somewhere you pass through on the way to Arrowe Park Hospital or go round when you want to get somewhere slightly more interesting.

Looks like its not happening for a while. Transport for wales are introducing the ex class D tube trains that have been converted to Diesel / Battery. Their is a video on the channel as well.
Also to let you know their is a miniature railway on the Wirral at Royden Park

@@TheWirralChannel I'll look forward to see in the D Trains. Thanks for the tip on the miniature railway, it's on my list. I aim to get there next year.
