  • In the village of Inakadate, Japan, elaborate expanses of “rice paddy art” grace the surrounding landscape. Looking for a way to boost tourism and contribute to the village’s rich culture, town officials turned to what they knew best - growing rice. Using dozens of varieties of rice as their color palette, locals gather to plant each new masterpiece, taking inspiration from local geography and Japanese folklore. With each image taking up to three months to complete, it truly takes a village.

Just love how you can clearly see the love devotion and pride into this work... I love Japanese people as they're humble, very smart and I like how they would always live their life into the motto they believe in most of this motto are about being humble and to spread love or how close knit their community are.... they are why I have change into a better person their stories from either anime or dramas it captivates my heart so much so that I would put in to my life what ever I learnt and spread it to others thanks Japan💋

Japanese culture is truly one of the best to come out of humanity. It’s at the cutting edge of modernity while preserving its deep roots and rich history. Despite being one of the most devastated regions in the world during the last century, a lot more so than many of today’s troubled regions, they have fully recovered and even prospered to an unprecedented degree. I know China serves as the role model for the developing world but Japan should too.

Related root word, but not the same. "Xeno" is greek for "strange/foreign", so "xenophobia" would be "a fear of foreign" while "xenomorph" would be "strange form".
