Andy - have you considered checking out the stavkirke on Washington Island? That's a beautiful one. And the grass on roof outbuildings behind Al Johnson's Swedish restaurant in Sister Bay and the Swedish huts outside Mann's Mercantile on Washington Island. The Wsh Island stavkirke I think is bigger than the Bjorklunden chapel. Attended a friend's wedding at Bjorklunden. (Small wedding) 😛 If you're up at Washington Island, the Jens Jacobsen museum has some cool native American artifacts and buildings too I think you'd like. And might be too far for little effect unless yall like hiking and good beach etc if the water's high and low to no green muck, the Rock Island "Viking Hall" style grand hall and boathouse just north of Washington island.
Yes AJ’s is great! I’ve been wanting to check out the stavkirke on Washington island for a while, and I think will finally have the opportunity this summer.
I really want to go here! I've lived in WI my whole life and I'm just now discovering what an awesome state this. Nice video! I can't wait for your WI history pt 2 vid!
Loved that your daughter was part of the video!
