I recently started using Creed Aventus and quite frankly the hype is justified. It smells fantastic and I've already had a number of compliments. I adore it.

I was actually making up my list and my wife told me I needed to include it for sure. I really really enjoy it. OG Fahrenheit can be a little overbearing for some people but the Parfum is more a nice boozy vanilla with violet leaf done really well. Classy stuff.
Great video! I have Armani Code Profumo and I'm looking forward to using it this winter. It would be great if you made a video on your top fragrances if you have to choose just one for each occasion. E.g. Aventus for the summer, La nuit for a date, Ultra Male for the club etc.

I agree with you. I hate the smell of Sauvage. I received it as a gift. I get plenty of compliments when I wear it, but I don't really like its smell.

Yes, I get complimented almost every time I wear Aventus or la nuit. Sometimes I get compliments with Bleu de Chanel. I rarely get compliments wearing Dior Sauvage or Cool Water. Other obscure fragrances I own which garner a lot of compliments are Insurrection Dark and Bath and Body Works Paris (now discontinued). I really need to pick up The One and also Dior Homme Intense.
I need to pick Insurrection Dark up, I've heard good things and it's a great price. I hadn't heard of Paris before so that's a cool one to check out.

Great list! Not a fan of the Armani house and Mugler flankers. Only enjoy Ultra Zest and Mugler Cologne from that house. The rest I totally agree. My most complemented frags lately are Un Jarden Sur Le Toit by Hermes,Amber,Gorse and Samphire,all 3 by Laboratory Perfumes,Fahrenheit,Vetiver Fatal and Cedre Atlas by Atelier,Aventus & GIT,Encre Noir Sport,Versace Pour Homme and Sauvage
Love Mugler Cologne personally and pretty much everything you listed but I haven't been able to check out Laboratory Perfumes yet unfortunately. I have scoped them out so hopefully I can scoop some up before long. Acqua di Gio is Acqua di Gio, been around for a couple decades now in one form or another and it's about as safe as you can possibly get. I wore it when I was in high school so I've pretty much outgrown it, but Essenza/Profumo sneak their way into my rotation on occasion. Admittedly though, it's not a favorite of mine to wear, it just seems people still like it a bunch.

I get compliments on my cheap fragrances more than anything. Perry Ellis 360 Red, Silver (the silver mountain water clone), and Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger… I'm just now getting into the fragrance game though. I started picking up bottles in May I now have about 30 bottles. I'm looking for some cold weather scents now that it's finally getting cold in TN. Burberry London and Rochas Man will probably be my next purchases so if you have any opinions on those that would be great!!!
Where 360 Red is so similar to AdG it's a safe bet for compliments about any time. Acqua di Gio has been worn to death but it's still popular, probably always will be. Burberry London smells fantastic but the performance is on the weak side. Rochas is also a great scent, slightly sweet with a gourmand coffee vibe. I give thumbs up to both of them.
Wow Pure Havane is a surprise! If you like Pure Havane, you are going to love Naxos! After smelling Naxos, Pure Havane is not as exciting anymore for me. Thanks for making a great list!

Q: Have you tried Armaf's Tres Nuit? Several members in the community think it's the best GIT clone; curious to hear your thoughts given your familiarity with the original.
It's the best GIT clone that I've put my nose on so far. It's kind of close to GIT in the same way Club de Nuit Intense for Men is close to Aventus. If GIT or Aventus is super similar to you then you'll be able to tell the difference pretty quickly but if you're casually into fragrances or not into them at all you'd probably think they're almost identical.

Great list! I wish I could remember the best fragrance I ever smelled on a guy. Not necessarily the sexiest, just the most pleasant. I was working at a cafe in Beverly Hills and a very good-looking, well-dressed, older business man came up to the counter wearing the most fresh, clean, and natural smelling cologne. He looked like money was no concern for him, so it could have been anything with any pricetag. It smelled expensive though. Very crisp and high quality. I wish I would have asked him what it was, but I didn't know if that was polite.

Not cheesy at all. I really enjoy Top 10 lists. My list would be very similar. Lately I've been wearing a lot of 18.21 Sweet Tobacco, TF Tobacco Vanille, HOM Coco Blanc and TF Oud Wood so those have been big compliment getters for me. Received my first Tauer samples yesterday. Interested to get my nose on them. Did a Discovery Set. Got to choose five scents. We'll see...
Tauer is quality stuff, Tauerville is really nice too. I need to get some 18.21 with the quickness.

GIT is my most complimented fragrance and it's not even remotely close.
Lots of guys said Chrome smells good but I hate the smell of Chrome and LOVE the smell of Dior Savage.
weirdly enough i've noticed i only get compliments on fragrances i personally like
(i wear samples out in public too, they can be hit or miss ofcourse)
In this vein, i have never gotten a compliment off of Aventus, and i'm not really into it.
That's a good point though, if you really like something you wear it with more confidence and people pick up on that.

Every female coworker, relative, or date that I've worn Aventus around disliked it. Most videos I see where women are smelling different fragrances for the first time don't like Aventus either. It's a weird scent because some people claim to get great reactions from it though. The only people that have complimented me on Aventus have been dudes.
I had a similar reaction. I got a sampler and didn't love the smell, so had some friends smell it, not telling them what it is and none of them really liked it, but then like you, I see everybody online saying a different experience
Men love Aventus. Women don't . simple. Same science behind Sauvage. just the opposite

Ive gotten far more compliments from all 4 batches of Creed Aventus than I have with sauvage but thats in my top 3 of compliment getters too.

They have a different feel after that initial blast. Overall Cedrat Boise does have more of a concentration on fruit than Aventus does.

God i hate Pure Havane. Its on everyones top 10 list and i just dont get it, its sickeningly sweet. As an older man i guess im too old fashion when it comes to scents.

Elmatonn Pure Havane is a classic...just a masterful designer fragrance. Give it another try. Almost everytime I wear it I get compliments...even from absolute strangers who enquire and want to purchase it. Just dont overspray. 4 light sprays...1 to each side of the neck or behind each ear and 1 to each arm....and Im set. Compliments and an enjoyable fragrance experience for the wearer. Like most Muglers though...u may need to warm up to it especially if not accostomed to the Amen dna. So a few wearings may do the trick. A truly great fragrance.

I've seen a good amount of people in the groups say they don't like it, honestly I think guys like it more than women do.
I have smelled and worn a bunch of Bond#9 colognes and they ALL SMELLED CHEAP. With stupid price tags.

Bond is probably one of the most "synthetic" smelling houses of any of the big niche houses. Agreed that they're overpriced if we're talking full retail, but so is Amouage, Creed, or Tom Ford if we're talking full MSRP. Some Bonds are horrible (Little Italy especially), but some are really nice (Bleecker Street, Chinatown, etc.) Appreciate you watching, thanks for your comment.

I am super new to the fragrance game and haven't gotten an unsolicited compliment in the 3 months I've been wearing frags.
Some frag reviewers swear that frags such as Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man garners at least one compliment every single time.

If you are constantly around people and very outgoing you'll obviously get more compliments but if you only go out every so often and keep to yourself you'll get less compliments. People have to feel comfortable going up to you to say you smell nice, it's a semi awkward thing to do.

I feel like all these frangrance UA-cam guys make the same videos, they talk about the same colognes, like damn somebody be different smh. Ive been watching these fragrances channels for about a week now, and I actually smelled some of the hyped up designer frangrance and only a few smell nice the others are just average, I know some 30 dollars under the radar cologne that will blow the designers brand out of the water. Don't waist your money guys on all this bullshit, follow your own nose and go with what you like.
