Another great & fantastic video of PADSTOW | Exploring the holiday seaside town of Padstow Cornwall I went to Padstow with my Brothers & step mother in 1988 for a day when we was in Penzance for a holiday with my Aunties house!.🧡🧡💚💚💜💜
I went to Padstow with my son and his family a couple of years ago. Lovely place, very friendly. Very busy. We also went to Rock and had a delicious meal in a restaurant there.
Fabulous video. I used to live in St Columb Minor just outside Newquay and used to visit Padstow quite a lot in the early eighties. It was an awful lot quieter then but not as quiet as it was when you were there. Some lovely memories, thank you.
How lovely to see my beloved Kernow again. No longer have a car & with animals to consider I cannot travel far anymore. Not actually been here.I lived at Fowey. Also lived in Dawlish,Brent Knoll & Burnham on Sea.SW gal to my fingertips. However,a poorly thought out idea has left me stranded inland permenantly it looks like,so seeing the ocean & the west country is wonderful.Thank you.Subscribed & look forward to next 'trip'.
The house you so like on the North Quay is called Abbey House, I think built in 15th Century but possibly earlier. Lots of history in Padstow. When I first visited Padstow possibly very early 1980s, an eccentric lady who lived there would stand in the little balcony and throw water over tourists as they walked by! Love Padstow. Thanks for the video.
Graham Lench:I think that's what my father & then boyfriend, wanted to do when emmits used to park in front of their properties!Farv used to say "Roll on Sept".Happy memories of better days.
It is a nice place to stay and walk round with the seagulls and the shops and restaurants and bars and the market and the pie shops and the harbour area is good and pie and coffee
I've been visiting Padstow most of my life and I'm in my 50s. The Cornish Bakery is great for Pasties. Rick Stein sell amazing pasties, which are located the far end of the town near the Hatchery and his Fish and Chips restaurant, which is also amazing. Cherry Trees cafe is fab for cake and The Golden Lion has the best fish pie. I could go on about how special Padstow is, though parking is not so special around July/August. It's such a dog friendly place, as is much of Cornwall.
Thanks for the film , this is our stomping ground, we usually visit at the end of April for the Mayday celebrations .I wish it was as quiet them but I suppose the local businesses wouldn’t be to happy. It’s been a bit spoilt over the years with to many twee shops but it’s what people want I guess.
Our favourite spot in the whole of the UK. Have visited on several occasions. However, I feel that you did not cover enough ground I.e. the area had you turned left out of the car park and showed the shops and restaurants there too. Also missed the famous Lobster hatchery by the quayside. Still a great video though and thanks.
Having visited Padstow, I noticed that just after 17 minutes in, there is a sign outside the pub with the number 259. This was originally from near Padstow railway station, long closed, and was the mileage from London Waterloo station. Great video, thanks!
Never seen Padstow so quiet. Go every year when we holiday in Porthcothan. You should walk up the hill and film the lovely views of the river and opposite coastline.
OOoooohhhh that's a tough one! I'll have a go though If I was going for a weeks holiday I'd probably go to: 1) Tenby 2) Scarborough / Whitby (I have lifetime connections with the place) 3) Brixham 4) Cornwall (anywhere!) 5) Good old Blackpool - cheap as chips and lots of fun! There's so many others though if I'm honest like The Cotswolds or Northumbria or Scotland!
Come to Wadebridge. I'd love to hear your opinions of my town. I'm not fond of it as much as the next person. But I've lived here my whole life soooo.....
