Become the lie. Never surrender. That house in the Hamptons is his hill to die on. I wish I had half of his level of dedication. George is such an inspiration.
I am just stunned at how each of the Seinfeld actors made their characters seem so real. Each one is totally absurd.....but the performance was so good it seems believable, which is unbelievable when you think about it. The 'planets aligned' perfectly in the Seinfeld series, for a once-in-a-lifetime television show.
He flew Akron, Ohio to deliver his mediocre comeback line to mr. Reilly who made fun of him in New York.. And when it backfired, he later had idea for better comeback and turned around his car and went back again to deliver better comeback . He was person possessed with payback.
George wasn't at his finest here. The George I think I know would have driven up a driveway to a house with no lights on, found a way in, and started showing them around. And if the occupants showed up, perhaps having been awoken by the noise, he would have yelled "trespassers in the house!" and pushed the Ross's back outside and into the car.
Fully agree. The fact that George surrenders so easily can only be explained by the writers running out of time in the episode. It’s not canon. The true George would have easily stretched this arc into a film trilogy of petty deception.
She resents her life at the end. She tries to substitute all three for their "bizarro" versions, for example, and comes back when she is deemed not worthy of the bizarro's friendship. George's awful, but if you decided to be his friend, be his friend.
George, this was quite possibly the stupidest thing you ever did. You knew you were never going to get away with it, and yet you continued to press on. 😅
Through all his years of lying, scheming, and manipulating; The Rosses have been been the only ones to really defeat George at his own game. Ultimate revenge.
I love how they both get in the back of Georges car. while it probably is an old tradition of being chauffeured, it is still funny that neither one them want to sit beside him.
Too bad George didn't take the Ross's to The Hamptons in a Horse Carriage with Rusty leading the way! And great seeing Franklin Delano Romanowski with his portable hotdog cart!
George finally came clean at the end and it was the closest thing he coud ever do to getting on his knees and begging for forgiveness to Suzanne's parents.
Well, if this was played in the current times, George could have easily rented out an AirBnB in the Hamptons for a day/night (although it would be a tad bit expensive) and showed the Ross' his so-called "Hamptons" home....
