Same! There’s so much to try it on and to play with. Loving playing with the different setups on unrelated instruments. Also thank you for watching! Appreciate you being here.
Oh I didn't realize that! What a bummer, so sorry! They should definitely add that. If you've got the budget/room in your native processing, I'd still recommend it. Even since this video I keep finding new ways to use it and love it. Thank you for being here, for watching and for letting me know about this!
Man, tough choice! If you need like full on reverb, I would go for Hitsville/Motown. It's more like a plate/chamber in the way it gives you longer reverb times. That said, Sound City does have some built in additional reverb you can use, so it's kinda like two plugs in one. I have both, but I'd probably get Sound City if I had to choose, just because doing this kind of a room sound is so hard to get right - and be easy on CPU. Let me know what you get! And thanks for watching! I'm stoked to have you here.
@@BradDollar thank you! I opted for the Hitsville since I'm more of a soulful & vintage type of producer....but also because I read something that much as the Sound City is dope,it's a CPU monster and I only run 8gb Ram
That's awesome! You're going to love it for sure. Top 5 reverbs I've heard in the last few years for sure. Let me know when you cook something up! Would love to hear it.
Oh man, you either asked the right or wrong person. The Voxbox is complete trash. The gain structure is weak. It's too clean sounding. Gets overheated. And every other one I work with seems to be half functioning. Even the plugin is terrible. I literally don't like it on anything. I know that's a hot take, but try it for yourself. ESPECIALLY compared to the 737, which is one of my all time favorite preamps / channel strips. Just want to be clear - I love Manley gear for the most part. The ref cardioid is my favorite mic as you know. And the Vari-Mu is one of the best compressors ever made. But they should just delete the Voxbox and start over.
I love this plugin already! I feel like I’m going to use it on everything.
