Hi, I'm currently taking a class to make this shirt. My hips are way larger than my bust and your video has been helpful with making changes to the pattern. I've watched your video over and over to make some since of what I am suppose to be doing. I've never used a pattern before so this is my first garment I'm sewing for myself. Thank you for making this video. BTW-I am attempting to make the Letter D of the pattern with collar and long sleeves without pockets. My instructor said I didn't need to put in the bust darts or the vertical darts but I did need to add extra to the side seems. This is an adventure at this point. The first class was today.
Awww that’s awesome! Thank you for watching my video! ☺️ yes, for me personally, I would say opening up the side seams as you need the extra width will help at the bottom and the waist dart just helped to pull it in for some extra waist shape so you could get rid of that. Since you’re new, I would leave the bust dart alone but since you have a teacher, they can show you how to get rid of it 😊. Good luck! You got this!
@@sewmaniacal4312 my teacher suggested I not install the buts or waist darts. Not sure about that. My waist is 44 1/2 in where my hips (and tummy) is 60 in. I will be using your techniques on my muslin sample.
@@trinettewells5013 hmm i wonder why. let me know. ok? :-) awesomesauce! I would say definitely follow what theyre doing and then later, if you end up finding your own way and what you like. Thats what i do. Im excited to see and hear how it turns out! 😊

Thank you, I was struggling with that weird cuff opening diagram too!
It was confusing but I’m always a supporter of doing what looks the best and works for you, even if you don’t completely follow the instructions 😊😅
This was great! Thank you for making this video!
thank you!! 😊
