焼成時の空気は隙間から抜けますので爆発することは無いです。
匂いが少しするので換気したほうが良いですね!
このFire Boxと言うのは、ここアメリカでは、まだ、みた事がないです。自分でも検索して調べるつもりですが、この動画で使われた道具土は、他の粘土（ストーンウェア）でも代用できるのでしょうか？それとも特別な土なのでしょうか？黒褐色の粘土なのに、焼いた後は、真っ白になるのが不思議な感じです、、、。

FireBoxは適当な英訳がなかったので私が勝手に名付けしました。
日本では匣（サヤ）と呼んでいます。
道具土は基本的に食器には使いません。粗い粘土で耐火性が高いので窯業製品として長持ちすると思います。
日本では陶芸ショップで普通に売っていますし安価です。
一般的に生粘土の時に黒い粘土は焼成後に白くなるものが多いです。

Clay used to make refractories is called tool clay.

Kiraku さん, can your kiln fire in reduction? Or only Oxidation? I have a Skutt kiln and want to know if I can fire with charcoal.

My kiln can also be reduced and fired. A gas burner is inserted to create a reducing atmosphere.
Kiln firing using charcoal is also interesting, but it may damage the kiln (heat transfer wire), so I think it is better to use a firebox. In the video uploaded today, I will introduce firing using charcoal.
