  • VO2 max (a measure of maximal oxygen uptake) is considered one of the best indicators of cardiorespiratory fitness. Higher cardiorespiratory levels as measured by VO2 max have been consistently linked to reduced risk of mortality and longer lifespan.     How Does Bad Posture Affect Your VO2 Max? I'd like to see a study done on that.

    Answered those survey questions truthfully. Gave me VO2 max equivalent to a average 20 year old…at 39. Happy if that’s even remotely close, though I suspect it isn’t even with weightlifting and some cardio 5-7 times a week.

      Given you exercise more than at least 95% of 39-year-olds (I would guess), or even more than most 20-year-olds, it very well can be accurate. There is a gentleman on YT who achieved a VO2 Max of a 20-year-old in his 60s.

      The weightlifting won’t help but the cardio will, as long it’s hard enough. Lot of lifters at every gym waddling on that stepper thing for ten minutes m for ‘cardio’ - yeh that doesn’t work😂
