Stardew Valley Cross Stitch Inlaid Handmade Round Box

Stardew Valley is a charming, open-ended role playing game. It is peaceful, beautiful and whimsical with so many layers and secrets to discover. It has become my favourite game in 2021, a little respite from the real world.
The pixelated style in the artwork of the game is ripe and ready to be translated into cross stitch. So, of course, I had to try it. It became a fun and challenging project, and it certainly took a long time to finish.

what a crazy adorable craft! I need to make this so badly! how many different colors of thread did you have to use for this? I've never tried cross stitch but this video made me want to go get some string and try it out right away. Best 💗

Sorry for the late reply! I don't know exactly the number of colours I used on this. But possibly more then 40. Don't let that discourage you, cross stitch doesn't have to be a huge investment. With a starter kit you can get a lot done! And you can always replace colours as you wish!
