I know this might seem stupid but when I was younger watched a movie called “walking with dinosaurs” it came out in 2013 but it was so beautiful to see the mountains the aurora borealis and the dinosaurs and it matched up very well with the music and I live in Colorado so I love the mountains, and it gives me a lot of nostalgia,
I got this song from camping with my dad, as a kid. It reminds me of my loving dad who took my brother and I out to the woods, and the forest bonded us. It wasn’t just a place to camp but a place we called home to this day. And now, as an adult, this song brings a tear to my eye to the good old days where my dad and my brother and I had a special place in our heart for one another at the fire pit.
Oh yeah, its the very last episode of Longmire that this last song is played. A really good ending for Longmire actually, though i wish the show could have continued.
I love Lord Huron so much. He's my dad's favorite artist and this is the first song I heard by him. All of his songs are pure nostalgia for me and I love it
Beautiful song, so glad to hear Ben Schneider who formed 'Lord Huron' because of his visits to Lake Huron, as I did every summer visiting my grandparents in Tawas City. Ben was born and raised in Okemos, Michigan.
This song tells me to pack up my house and hit the road and just see as many national parks as I can. I'm going to be 70 years young and I think it would be a good way to spend my remaining time here
Not sure why reading your reply made me teary eyed. I've been realizing my short existence on this earth and what all I haven't done and I'd say I'm about halfway done. Do it if you can
same. But I was watching it on Netflix and was so confused why it seemed like a bunch of information was missing in S2 but turns out s2 and s3 had been removed and I was watching S4 so that's just great :I
I must have watched the movie "A Walk in the Woods" about 10 times in the last 8 years. It's always a good movie to watch just before leaving to do another section of the AT. This song is off the soundtrack. I liked the beat and the "feel" of it, but never really paid any mind to it otherwise. I added it to my hiking/walking and to my running playlists on Spotify a couple of weeks ago. This morning while running, the song finally came on. I finally actually listened to the words. Wow! Talk about song lyrics that cut right to your soul! I wound up playing it over and over trying to memorize the words. Who knows, maybe I can learn to play it on guitar? I could easily envision John Denver writing and recording something like this. It has the feel of his song "Spirit" and the poignant lyrics of "Looking for Space". I think I found a new addition to my favorite song list!
This song is simply amazing! Beautifully written and inspiring to listen to it brings back memories of my childhood and I want to just go ! My dream is to first go skydiving and then explore the beautiful state of Montana and Wyoming! ❤
This will be my wedding song I just cried driving home imagining my wedding with my girlfriend to this song as she walks out and all my loved ones and best friends there. Makes me so happy just thinking about it 😌
this song makes me think of running next to a train at dusk or dawn, with an open field on the otherside of you, the wind blowing through your hair, finally feeling the feeling of freedom after chasing it for so long
Have heard this song before, but I came to finding out the title and all after watching Manifest. Ironically I’m at the part where they have the predicted Death Day Calling..June 2, 2024, started watching it the same year as the predicted death year. Would be even trippier if I just did the math of the days till June 2nd from when I actually started the series and it be 82 days (flight 828) 👀
If you like this, you might want to consider checking out Fleet Foxes as well! And by the time you finish going down that rabbit hole you'll probably have found enough stuff along the way to make a good "I'm going to disappear into the woods for several weeks" playlist 😄

I don’t like a lot of 21st century music but this one is exceptionally awesome. This song is one of rare gems that I love from early 2000s
I’m pretty sure most of us got this from “walking with dinosaurs” one of my favorite childhood show
