Arlen is so talented! 🔥 I knew his parents from the old neighborhood. They were the most lovely people. His dad was a great artist and gifted me many sketches. Definitely a talented and wonderful family. Much respect, Arlen. 😊
Arlen is something else . Been around for a long time and played some real big names. I occasionally text with him. A real gentleman. Met Arlen here in Connecticut at a friends music store. Had seen him play out at Daryls House and on The Ridgefield Playhouse with LeBres.
Exquisite . This guy makes me proud to be a musician from the north east USA. What is so friggin enthralling about his playing is that you can sing the song in your head while he's playing and every single note works harmonically with the melody. That's guitar playing!!!!
He played, and I sang. I wanted to sing and play guitar after hearing someone play this tune on the beach, using an acoustic guitar. One of the great songs of all time, for sure. Thanks Arlen!
I first saw Arlen when he was still a teen, playing guitar fir the Happy & Artie Shaw Band out of Woodstock (I even shot pics!) Even then he was a brilliant player. One of my favorite guitarists; a true musicians’ musician.
I think he mentions the Cornell Dupree influence in one of his videos. At 5:10 he does a good right hand swooping effect that dupree used alot. Using the middle finger to sweep make and forth. It takes a bit of control at first but is quite handy as a desired effect (no pun) Arlen is great! and so is Cornell
One thing he taught me is that if you don't have your hands on your instrument then you won't get better. It's just a matter of putting hours into it, while you played with others, and by yourself
So beautiful. Thanks Arlen. Not sure if it's the recording but more delicacy on the percussion would have really helped the wonderful nuanced guitar stand out.
wow that looks like Roy Buchanan"s 53 Telly . I heard a rumor that Danny Gatton somehow got possession of it after Roy died. I wonder if it got passed down to Arlen somehow. Just curious !!!

Arlen is pure quality. No frills but great timing, phrasing and feel.

There's everything: feeling, touch, expression, soul, heart. Great Arlen

Still brilliant!............I remember hearing Arlen play this at a Guitar workshop in Coventry in late 70's or early 80's
Holy s*** who the heck are those guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really love this style of guitar playing, impressive without being stupidly flashy

He played this live on German TV with Jack Bruce playing bass in the late 60s early 70s.. Too bad I can't find it anymore on YT.

I still can't play like the maestro, but I keep trying!

Needed a bigger amp
My favorite guitar. I should move near you for lessons. I could afford a closet!

I believe that is either Arlen's real 53 or a copy of it made by Nacho Banes.
I read that Roy's "Nancy" guitar sold at auction for $600,000.00
my name is Arlene I did not know what my name is mined
The translator helped😬😬😬
No sound -? Not my end
This drummer is incapable of getting behind it, in it, under it or with it. All he can do is pound the crap out it.
