I don't know if you'll see this and maybe you've already figured it out yourself but I'll still answer your question for you. PC literally just stands for Personal Computer. So basically any laptop should work a long as it has USB slots. Witch almost all laptops will have. And it of course needs to have the ability to view files. I would say anything that is t a Chromebook should work.
I've tried the chord that came with it as well as another one and have just received the one recommended in your video but I can't get the Kernel to install. Any suggestions?
I had my system hacked and working prior and this new build completely messed up my system. It will boot a game then keep playing the menu music than the screen will start fluttering back and fourth. I literally just wanted to add ghoul patrol to my previous build. May just have to retire this device and move on :(

I'd give it a shot. The newest version of Hakchi backs up the Kernel in your SNES classic's system memory. Follow the instructions in this video and you should do well.
Hi Blaine, nice video tutorial. You state the internal storage can hold several hundred roms. Does it show you or tell you if you are going to exceed the storage space while adding the roms before synchronizing? I want to add the entire SNES PAL region roms 500-600games. I think I put around 80 on mine. Also, keep in mind you don't want to totally max out storage space because you need to leave some room for saving in game progress.
@@lasergame98 I do, I cannot dload the hakchi and get it to work. I'm doing so on a mac. I used OneZip 3rd party app to extract the file but nothing I open brings me to where this gentleman's video is indicating. I'll be honest I don't know much about file extraction either.

NES doesnt need a flash drive though his video uses one, my NES has alll NES games on it without a flash drive, Snes flash drive i have is 2gb and it fit all USA SNES games think it was like 800

When I added the game "Panic Dizzy NES" to hakchi2-ce-3.9.3 - the following message appeared: "Uses mapper #71 but this mapper is not supported by the NES Mini and the game will probably not start with the default emulatior. (. ..)". Then I noticed that the game freezes during the rogriffin. How to fix this problem?

Depends. What is it you want to run on your system? If you want to add anything new, then yes I would definitely update. Newest version of Hakchi has way more options and more user friendly. If your just adding more SNES games and don't care for USB host, just keep doing what your doing.

Hey Blaine! I'm absolutely loving your content as always. My SNES mini is hacked and ready to go :) Quick question: I ran into an issue with Secret of Evermore. It freezes shortly after the intro section. Have you seen this happen with this or any other games? If there's no easy solution, I'll have to keep playing it on RetroArch on my PS3 (but it feels "wrong" though LOL)
If you're running into compatibility issues, please install RetroArch onto the mini using the Hakchi add on modules. It will still use the SNES mini interface but the rom will be running in SNES9X .

Glad it worked for you! I know how low level this is, but what kind of power brick are you using when plugged into the wall? I can't remember for sure, but I think a 5V 1A brick might be needed, and not all bricks are created equal. Check the voltage and amperage on the brick you're using to make sure it supports the mini's requirements.
It won't let me install kernel no matter how long i want to take to wait, when it takes too long its just tells me to "Reboot" or "Turn off firewall" which rebooting looks like it does nothing and i already turned off my firewall, is there a way around this/to fix this?
@@MikeRiotto I found a way, just go into advanced and go to Boot custom kernel from RAM and click that, if it doesn't work, go to Boot original kernel from RAM instead, still doesn't work? then turn off your firewall and try again

You can use 1 USB for nes, snes, and Sega. I have the 16 gb usb.

It will work for the European version, you just need to select "Super NES (Europe)" from the dropdown. Idk about the second part though

PC literally just stands for personal computer. So pretty much any laptop that allows you to download files will work.

Yes. Hakchi can help get them off the system. It's a legit way to obtain them for personal backups as you already bought them and own them.

Doesn’t seem to work. The hakchi CE says it’s offline in the bottom left corner. And then says it’s taking to long to reboot.
make sure you install the correct drivers.
also, hakchi does not work at all in WINE or in a VM.

Had the same issue. Be sure you allow hakchi CE on the firewall on both private and public domains.
