"I take it that he does this part because his voice is lower and it really matches this part." Scott while doing a bass line so low that you can barely hear it: 0=
Yes! I’ve also said that Matt would be incredible for music theatre/Broadway (not a stretch from Disney 😂). In my head, I can so clearly hear him slaying “The Room Where It Happens” from Hamilton. Especially the “Click, boom” at the very end of the song...even better if he dropped it an octave. 😮
YES! And it HAS to be the Singapore Star Vista video because any other is just not the same! Yes, it's shot on someone's phone, but who cares, Mitch SHINES! This is also the "Where's Kevin" video...but never fear, he's there. You may not see him, but you'll sure as hell HEAR him.🤣🤣
I know everyone recommends the Aha, Singaport Star Vista performance, but I actually prefer the Dallas, Tx. The audio picks up some of the audience (not much, you can still clearly hear the vocals). However, the theatrics are 10x better, and there's no bass drop off on Avi's really low notes. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/8YTTqxN7Nm4/v-deo.html
@@mmg8823 Yes, I agree. The audio and video are much better quality, but Mitch doesn't seem as sassy as in the Star Vista video. Maybe it's the lack of him playing with his hair that adds to it, lol. Great reaction as always! The group has said they choose parts based on whatever works best for the song. I think they switch it up a lot, you just haven't had the chance to see all their stuff yet. 😉 It's a never-ending treasure trove!
🎅👉Scott is laying down that AMAZING bass while Matt SLAYS the lead. Every member of PTX is FREAKIN ADORABLE and EXTREMELY TALENTED!!. They are the GREATEST!!🌟
Love your reactions. One of my favorites is "Little Drummer Boy" probably because it was the first holiday song I heard them do. Hope you can work it in. I am loving watching take this journey into PTX. As Ben Folds on the "sing off" said they can take a song that I didn't particularly care for and create a version that I just love. Looking forward to all your reactions because they are so honest and organic.
Great reaction thank you and I agree I think your ready for the aha live at Singapore vista wow you will get to see the real Mitch and what he is capable of 😃
There are plenty of songs were Mitch and Kirstin has the lead and a few with Avi as well. (and of couse many where they all share the lead) The reason that Scott has the lead often is because he has the most versatile voice, not to mention a huge vocal range (he's doing the bass in this song!). A lot of modern music also just lends itself more towards the baritone range, which is Scott.
Agreed! I think the people who are pushing for Scott to lead less just don’t realize this. I also think those same people will mistakenly say Scott is hogging the lead even on the group songs like Hallelujah and Sounds of Silence, where he simply just had the first verse, and isn’t actually the “lead” for the song. If they stopped to think about it, Scott taking the first verse for both of those songs made it possible for someone else (Kirstie, in both of those occasions) to later have the most emotionally charged and climactic verse of the song.
Thanks Bayo, another great one = I don't know if you realised but Scott and Matt have basically switched roles here (just showing their amazing versatility. The more you check them out, the more you see each of them taking the lead. I don't think there are any big ego's in PTX, it really depends on the song as to who takes the front and whoever does, the rest all fill in beautifully. Really looking forward to more Christmas from PTX - would love iti f you could do O come all ye faithful - you want 'switching up'? you got it!! :)
I can't tell, but if you've never watched the cartoon special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Matt's voice matches the Narrator perfectly, who sings the songs in the show, including that one.
Kirstie said in one of their interviews that this arrangement was really difficult... switches from high register to low very quickly and then back up so many times... Also in the older vids, Scott took the lead a lot because the others didn't feel comfortable taking the lead role - since tracks like Shallow/Rather Be etc... they've pretty much shared the load. I think they choose whoever sounds perfect for the track or in some original instances, whoever wrote it.
This song perfectly fits to Matt and he is playing the key part in this song. I love this trend I'm witnessing in PTX - there are other songs where one member is playing the key role- thus I can recommend Be My Eyes and Thank You by PTX. Great reaction! 😃
This is my very favorite version of this song! I love, love, love the jazzy feel of it and Matt just slays the main vocals. They all do an amazing job as usual. I especially love Mitch's little interjections...perfect! I love this song and I love PTX!
You are right. The editing is fantastic. Love it. Matt is great not just vocally but theatrically as well. Mitch and Kirstie’s voices blend so well andcan we just take a moment to salute Scott taking over the bass. And Kevin, well my goodness... perfect! Love it all. 🤗
Check out Rather Be, or Be My Eyes for Kirstie on lead. Bohemian Rhapsody, or Love Again, or Valentine for Mitch on lead. Or the following songs where they all get a verse: Sound of Silence; Imagine; Come Along
Great reaction. Scott does lead off a lot, but there are many songs with other members taking the sort of lead role. You have only stuck your toe in the water so far.
That was fun to watch. Both the PTX video and you. Thanks for reacting to this, one of my favorite PTX videos. Your channel is very entertaining. Keep up the good work. Matt is amazing. They all are.
I love this one! it's just fun and it gives me a chance to be theatrical because he is a big personality! It's really cool to see Scott carrying the bass line as well! I love the Jazz they put into it! It's a really fun number to watch live. They have somebody in a grinch suit come out and Matt and the Grinch put on a little show that's a lot of fun! The rest of the group does get to interact with the Grinch a little bit but mostly they're a very fun Chorus Line to observe! No Christmas tour this year (for obvious reasons), but they're bringing us Christmas music and I'm so grateful for that! Thank you so much for the happy reaction!

As far as members go because I know you sometimes struggle to remember who they are. The beatboxer as you know is Kevin. You got Mitch remembered, the other main singers are Scott the tall blonde and Kirsten the woman. The bass in the group currently is Matt who is the main singer in this particular piece. However as you've seen in other videos he wasn't always a member. The old bass member was Avi but he left the group a while ago to pursue his own music career. Hope this help! Great quality videos!
They all have songs that they do the full lead on except for Kevin, although Scott does the most. I'll give some recs for each: You've just reacted to the single Matt song Avi has 3 songs - Standing By, Light in the Hallway, It's the most wonderful time of the year (none have videos) Kirstin has a fair few - Rather Be, Say Something, Be My Eyes, Shallow (kinda), Water (no video, but check out the Popspring Live Performance), Over The Rainbow (no video) Mitch has a fair few - Aha, Love Again, Royals, Valentine, Can't Help Falling In Love With You, Carol of the Bells, Na Na Na (no video) Scott has many but I'll list a few of my faves and a bunch of originals :P - Thank You, New Rules x Are You That Somebody, Havana, Perfect, Sing, Happy Now (mostly), Cracked (no video, check out the Honda live performance), Natural Disaster, First Things First, Ref, Rose Gold (no video for any of those)
Bayo. I watch your reaction videos to hear your voice. I love your accent and tone of voice. 💗 I don't understand why people complain about reactors reacting during their videos?! It's the whole point of your job. I actually do not subscribe to reactors who just sit there and nod their heads and then simply say "that was good", or "that was amazing" and no real analysis of the music. Thanks for your reaction to this one. I agree that Scott gets a lot of leads, and I understand (his voice and range fits most pop songs) but I love a good song with a bass lead. Happy Holidays! Keep up the good reactions!
I love your reactions - watching out for your new reactions! Your enthusiasm and enjoyment of PTX is contagious - keep up the great videos and I look forward to more.
I love the family you're growing here - you'll be at 50k in no time! I think you'd be shocked to find out who your subscribers are (age, country, job - all of that), too. Keep up the reactions! You're the only youtuber who pauses frequently through the songs that I watch.(My years of training as a musician makes me lean toward listening to a whole piece, and then going back to pick out individual points. Most of the time that's fine. But the way you pause and make your points as you listen through a piece for the first time.... your enthusiasm is infectious, Bayo.) It's because you have incredible insight into music and what kind of work goes into figuring out parts, solos, practice... and you also think about things like styling, video setup and display, and editing. Keep posting, keep posting, keep posting. And keep creating your own music as well - it's phenomenal.
I'm interested in the spread of subscribers throughout the world. I'm UK born, live in Wellington New Zealand, I'm 81 and my family love that I'm obsessed with PTX. My son saw a PTX video playing in one of the local supermarkets a couple of days ago, on a TV channel, and that's the second time that's happened. Love your reactions Bayo.
Lol. You've got over one hundred more PTX songs to go, don't worry, they all take their time as lead. Plus, you need to react to their "Sing Off" competition so you can see where they came from and how much they have honed their natural talents. Peace, Love and Light Bayo!!!
I'm LOVING your Pentatonix reactions. I love them too. Have you watched, "Mary Did you Know?" One of my faves. I know you'll love. I'm now a Subscriber. Thanks for your reactions!
They all have songs where they sing lead vocals. Kevin is the least likely to sing lead on an entire song. That is only because he beat boxes better than the rest of them. This is probably the only band where everyone can take the lead and nobody is fighting for it. They are all the biggest cheerleaders for each other.
Hey Bayo 👋! This is such a fun one, huh? And how amazing is Matt in this, his lead is just so perfect. And am I right in thinking that the music video got sped up slightly in edit to combat the evil video-blocking monster? Coz it sounds slightly sped up. If so, it seems to be working (hopefully I didn’t just jinx it 😂). Keep up the good work, let’s do more Christmas PTX reactions, like Little Drummer Boy, or Carol Of The Bells, or Up On The Housetop, just to name a couple.
"O Come, All Ye Faithful" has a different Pentatonix twist also. I've seen commenters and reactors who've said that "Little Drummer Boy" and "12 Days of Christmas" were not songs they would have listened to or chosen but the Pentatonix spin just makes it a playlist song in Christmas or any other genre; I agree. They are almost synonymous with Christmas so you can't go wrong with any of their versions, really.
@@wendischambach6181 I think by this point PTX aren’t synonymous with Christmas, they ARE Christmas. And yeah, O Come All Ye Faithful is a very good shout, it never fails to give me chills - so do their renditions of Joy To The World and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. And every time I hear PTX’s GRYMG I have to scurry over and listen to The Hound + The Fox with Peter Hollens do their version of that song, two totally different versions that are both done so amazingly well. And Silent Night. And The First Noel. And Angels We Have Heard On High. And shall we just list every single Christmas song that PTX has ever done, coz that’s what it feels like I’m about to do 😂!
@@Catherine.Catherine Oh, good point (and excellent memory)! Their versions of "Joy to the World" and "Silent Night" are two more of my favorites. I'm so glad it's December! Thanks for the reminders. Now excuse while I go dust off the holiday classics...LOL
@@wendischambach6181 have you checked out Lindsey Stirling’s version of Carol of the Bells? Coz I rewatched it about an hour ago and I’ve now got it stuck in my head, Lindsey is amazing 😻
@@Catherine.Catherine I think the only thing I've heard from her was when she collab'd with Pentatonix for "Radioactive" (that was her, right?). I'll give it a listen. Is this another rabbit hole you're sending me down? LOL. I have so many of those...
I’m glad that you’ve become a Pentaholic because they are so talented and your reactions are great! But now I think you should try something else that also will land you in a rabbithole and which will quickliy increase your subscriber numbers. Please react to Angelina Jordan singing Bohemian Raphsody! She is something else!
Dude I love your reactions... One thing i will say from one reactor to another, i noticed that your facecam isnt synced up with what we are seeing from the video. We're watching the video, but you are seeing it about 5 seconds slower than we are. It could've happened while changing the pitch in editing, i know that happens to me sometimes, you have to be careful of that especially if you're snapping or singing along, thats where it get obvious... I snap along in the beginning sometimes just so i have something to work off of when i sync audio... Other than that... Great reaction!
Thank you my friend! I appreciate that! I’m currently trying to deal with that problem it’s the UA-cam converter that keeps making it shorter so it’s out of sync I’m looking to screen record the video instead so it matches up perfect (it’s been really annoying me) 🤣
@@Bayotherapper I dont use this for my reaction videos, but try OBS studios.... Its a free software that will allow you to screen record everything on your computer, you can even overlay your webcam. You can also livestream from there too if you ever wanna do live reactions

Hello from Texas! 1. I really like your style in general, and the variety of music that you react to on your channel. 2. I really like your upbeat and enthusiastic appreciation for music, because I think it’s how we all feel as well, when we see so many amazing performances. 3. Having said that, I wonder if you might be able to fine-tune your reactions, so that you are not pausing so much. Not sure if you realize just how often you are pausing, because you are caught up in the song, but in this particular 3:13 song, you paused 8 times, which is an average of every 24 seconds. You can see how that can interrupts the flow of the performance, thereby affecting the enjoyment of your viewers/subscribers. Perhaps you could just react with facial expressions and maybe a whispered comment here and there, and then edit in subtitles of your thoughts during certain parts of the video, like I have seen other reactors do. You could then also, save the majority of your comments after the performance has completed. I felt that all of your comments and observations were absolutely spot-on ... it’s just how they were presented, that was so distracting from the performance. Just sending what I hope is some constructive feedback, because as I said, I like everything else about you and your channel and your observations. Wishing you a Holly Jolly everything! 🟢🔴🟢🔴🟢🔴🟢🔴🟢🔴🟢🔴 ☮️ Steve in Dallas P. S. What does your tattoo in script on your forehead say? Can’t quite make it out. Also what city and/or country are you doing your channel from?
Thank you so much! I wouldn’t pause that many times usually but I’m forced too due to copyright claims I have to pause it before every 30 seconds or it gets blocked :/ there’s no other way around it I have tried absolutely everything. My tattoo on my forehead says “be a king when kingdom comes” and I’m from the uk 🔥
@@Bayotherapper The way you are doing it is the way most reactors do it to not get blocked. I think it was perfect. Thanks for putting in the effort so we get to enjoy your reactions!!
@@Bayotherapper : I love the UK and have had the opportunity to visit several times, both England and Scotland (Haven’t made it to Wales). My mother’s side of the family is all English, Irish and Scottish. “Walker” being English… “Calhoon” being Irish… and “McQue” being Scottish. All of the pasty-white people like me lol. Please know that I wasn’t trying to dog on you or tell you how to do your channel, because after all, it is your channel. I know it takes a lot of time to do what you do, so even if you wanted to, you probably wouldn’t have time to spend looking at other reactors’ videos, so I just wanted to send you a few examples of what I was talking about, all reacting to Pentatonix, since I assume that the copyright requirements would be the same for all Pentatonix songs, set by their publishing company or the group. I am including 2 American reactors and 2 European reactors, in case for some reason the rules are different in the US vs. versus Europe (or is it specifically by country? 1. Here is an American reactor, who uses the complete pause method. However during this 5:06 song, the only pauses 4 times for an average of every 1:275 minutes: ua-cam.com/video/-Q04fClznlU/v-deo.html 2. Another example from an American reactor, also to the same Pentatonix song. You can see how he makes remarks over the video without stopping it, so that it doesn’t interrupt crescendos, etc. And when he does pause it, he runs it back a little so you get a running start at that particular passage of music, which helps smooth over the pausing. ua-cam.com/video/7QdR_I2Z0Jo/v-deo.html 3. Here is a link to a reactor in France, and she doesn’t pause at all on the same song and it hasn’t been blocked. ua-cam.com/video/0xsSO3r_iKQ/v-deo.html 4. Here’s a link to a reactor and by his accent I can’t quite tell if he’s from the UK or maybe Australia … I’m sure you would be able to tell. His reaction to Hallelujah by Pentatonix, only 1 pause: ua-cam.com/video/BojWuW4k0tI/v-deo.html Again, not being critical, just trying to help you and your channel if any of my suggestions might. It’s hard for me personally to take suggestions as I get very defensive and consider them criticism of how I am doing my job, which I think is common in all humans, probably especially men. Anyway, take it for what it’s worth and I subscribed and will keep watching. ☮️ Steve in Dallas

I don't understand why people complain about reactors reacting during their videos?!
Thank you so much rose! This made me smile! I appreciate your kind words so much and I’m glad your apart of my channel ❤️
Absolutely love your reactions, your enthusiasm and your obvious love of music. You have become my favorite reactor!💕
I love your reactions - watching out for your new reactions! Your enthusiasm and enjoyment of PTX is contagious - keep up the great videos and I look forward to more.
Love Again is a great panel-type video. Mitch takes the lead and it's an original as well.
Your comments warmed my heart thank you so so much! You guys make it worth while doing this channel! I can’t thank you enough ❤️
Ohhh, and "Shallow. AMAZING!!
Love your reactions ! This is colorful, fun and makes me smile ! I shared it with my grand kids (10) ! They loved it !
It's great they display everyone.
Don't know if you have seen ther official video of "Sounds of Silence" but it is a must see to react to. They bring it as always and just smash it!
I somehow missed this react. Love the PTX version of this song and loved your reaction as well.
If you haven’t watched their Shallow cover you NEED to! Kirstin is the main singer on that one which is a nice switch like this one.
You have become my faavorite reacter I swear. Love it!!
I recommend reacting to The Wizard of Aahs by todric hall ft. Pentatonix
My favorite is led by Kristin (Say Something)
You should do their song "Making Christmas"!
Please react to Pentatonix new song “ Thank You” written by Scott. Amazing!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I subbed the 1st time I saw you coz U were reacting to Ptx!💜 Love you my fellow Pebtaholic! (U know ur 1 of us!!😉) XO
Great reaction as always :) thank you.
I can’t stop watching it!!!
Scotts doing the bass part
Watch Be my eyes.. Kirstin is the Lead in it becomes she wrote it
As both a Dr. Seuss and Pentatonix fan, this is the best.
Oh, they all take lead roles (except for Kevin - so far as I know). Scott is the most common lead, but keep listeneing.
Matt! yay!
I love PTX and this version, but I really like Voiceplay's version a bit better
That's because Scott makes all the arrengments
I’m glad that you’ve become a Pentaholic because they are so talented and your reactions are great! But now I think you should try something else that also will land you in a rabbithole and which will quickliy increase your subscriber numbers. Please react to Angelina Jordan singing Bohemian Raphsody! She is something else!
Thank you for making me smile. :)
Would love to hear your reaction to their early song cover of "the dog days are over"! 😁
Matt is the bass of the band so he’s the background like Kevin is the drums and beat boxer .
AcaPop kids do the paneling as well of course Scott formed acapop kids listen to their work there bohemian rhapsody/someone to love mashup.
Radioactive
@@Thedreadheadedoreo thank you so much for that mate! It’s been the one thing that has annoyed the hell out of me! So I will definitely use that next!
@@Bayotherapper Not a problem, looking forward to more reactions from you soon!
Matt the bass
Please react t morisette "akin ka na lang"
Please react to Imagine or their cover to Can’t Help Falling In Love
Google some of their best live performances and concerts there out there . ✌🏾
scott was holding down the bass bc matt was leading idk if you noticed that, too busy lookin at mitch
I think the layout of them being in some sort of boxy display, could have been an idea of a USA TV Show called The Brady Bunch ... here's how they used to start their show. ua-cam.com/video/K5StTXQofqs/v-deo.html
Check out Voiceplay's version of this song its good as well.
should do " mary did you know"
❤❤
Can I ask how are you reacting to the whole video without being copyrighted ????

@@dalemaddened780 thank you so much dale! I appreciate that so so much
@@Bayotherapper : I love the UK and have had the opportunity to visit several times, both England and Scotland (Haven’t made it to Wales).
However during this 5:06 song, the only pauses 4 times for an average of every 1:275 minutes:
ua-cam.com/video/-Q04fClznlU/v-deo.html
2. Another example from an American reactor, also to the same Pentatonix song. You can see how he makes remarks over the video without stopping it, so that it doesn’t interrupt crescendos, etc. And when he does pause it, he runs it back a little so you get a running start at that particular passage of music, which helps smooth over the pausing.
ua-cam.com/video/7QdR_I2Z0Jo/v-deo.html
3. Here is a link to a reactor in France, and she doesn’t pause at all on the same song and it hasn’t been blocked.
ua-cam.com/video/0xsSO3r_iKQ/v-deo.html
4. Here’s a link to a reactor and by his accent I can’t quite tell if he’s from the UK or maybe Australia … I’m sure you would be able to tell. His reaction to Hallelujah by Pentatonix, only 1 pause:
ua-cam.com/video/BojWuW4k0tI/v-deo.html
Again, not being critical, just trying to help you and your channel if any of my suggestions might. It’s hard for me personally to take suggestions as I get very defensive and consider them criticism of how I am doing my job, which I think is common in all humans, probably especially men.
Anyway, take it for what it’s worth and I subscribed and will keep watching.
