Asada tacos...you can't go wrong with those at any taco truck!!!El Comal on the blvd has amazing tacos and burritos, i can't find refried beans like theirs anywhere!! Highly recommend!!
I know this was a taco truck video, but the best tacos are at "el comal" also on the boulevard and from "la fuente" on grand st. I really, really hope you can go eat there and try those tacos. Keep up the great videos.
Y’all are so much fun to watch 😊 We’re not very adventurous eaters and stick to the same old places, but watching this makes me want to try somewhere new. Do more like this one, p,ease!
Weird request but when y’all can, will you also let us know if some of the places you go to here in Amarillo have a kids menu? You guys make the food look so dang good I can’t help but to want to try them all 😭 but I can’t be looking all selfish as I go about it 😅😂👌🏽👌🏽😂😂
Spending the night in Amarillo Saturday. Having a hard time choosing what taco truck to hit up. We are after Carne Asada and Pastor tacos. Can you recommend a place for fried chicken for lunch in Amarillo also?
To us, nothing compares to La Hacienda. Other trucks are good, but Hacienda is amazing every time. We like the green chili verde, barbacoa and carne asada!! I have yet to have good pastor anywhere but El Braceros, and it's not even really pastor. As far as chicken goes, North Heights Discount and Cafe is your only real option. This just isn't a fried chicken town. Their location is in a pretty rough area, so keep that in mind. If it doesn't have to be on the bone fried chicken, Green Chilly Willy's has amazing chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Absolutely the best I've ever had. Joy eats their JALAPENO CREAM GRAVY like a soup. It's really that good!!
Follow Me, I'm A Foodie - Thanks for your response. Real al pastor tacos are hard to find anymore anywhere north of the border. I’ve lived in San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix area, and Kingman, and the only place I’ve found real al pastor tacos outside of Mexico in the last 10 years is in Thousand Oaks California. That being said I’m still a big fan of the al pastor tacos that don’t come off the rotating stake burners. I couldn’t find good southern style fried chicken last time I went through Amarillo is why I asked. I figured if anyone knew it would be you folks. After I posted the question I watched your video on Green Chilly Willy’s. Looks amazing! I got suckered into eating at the big Texan last time I was there and ordered the chicken fried steak. Absolute frozen portioned garbage topped with gravy from a commercial restaurant supplier. All the hype about that place for so many years all over the cable channels and internet to just be let down. I realized it’s just a tourist trap. I’ll be there Saturday night getting fatter of something delicious that’s for sure. Thanks again for the response.
Follow Me, I'm A Foodie - unfortunately short trip this time. Coming from Kingman Arizona area to Amarillo for the night then turning around and heading home next day.
My husband and I enjoy watching your videos. We currently live in Albuquerque New Mexico. We went on vacation to Amarillo in 2010 and we loved it. We are thinking of moving to Amarillo in a few months , but we seen scary videos about the weather. I think are minds have us overly thinking the weather. Could you tell us what we would expect from the weather there? Thank you and God bless. Jay N Rena
I’ve had my car totaled by hail 4 times in the last 20 years. I’ve also heard the tornado sirens a half dozen times, but it’s never actually happened. In my opinion, it’s safer than Oklahoma, north Texas or East Texas. It’s not something we ever think about.
I loved this! Do more of these. But also keep reviewing single places. ;) The saddest part for me is that I have yet to find a taco truck that serves anything for a veg/pescatarian here in Amarillo. I always wind up with a quesadilla which is pretty boring. I wish someone would do a grilled veg taco or a fish taco! Let me know if you see veg options at any of them.
There is a food truck that does Texmex seafood. Shrimp cocktail and other things. I forget the name. Last Friday they were at Casey Carpet One for Food Truck Friday.
Done. They are already on our list. It will be a little while though. Between Amarillo and our Dallas series, we’ve got tons of Mexican food videos that have already come out or are coming out soon.
I was hoping y’all went to Las Hacienda when I saw the video title. My personal favorite here in Amarillo! The Asada Tacos!! Great videos
Thanks for watching!!! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
I think I’m here more for your smiles 😊! Great content!!!
Yay! Thank you!

I miss these so much!!!
Did you move or are you avoiding them because of quarantine??
Good stuff!! I stopped at the Big Texan my last time through Amarillo. Very touristy but the Prime Rib was on point.
Charles Dyga yeah big Texan is more a tourist attraction a lot better food here
More touristy, but the atmosphere is something worth seeing for sure.
Y’all should try don toños barrio food it’s a new food truck and I have yet to try something that’s not good. On 24th and grand.
Thank you for the tip. We absolutely will!!
Marybel definitely one of my favorites!!!

We will def be doing more of this style video. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!!
That was awesome! Please do more videos like this. However, Chad gets a penalty point for picking the jalapeno has his second favorite taco. LOL
We're so glad you enjoyed it!! I will happily take the penalty point. LOL
Terri Morgan 😂 in all fairness, he did pick Maribel as his favorite taco. But that stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeño was mouth watering!
Makes me want to go find the taco truck right now! Great video guys!
Thanks!!! And they are probably open!!
Do this again
Joseph Mings we have 2 more planned!!
Great reviews! Definitely makes me want to try them all.
Thanks!! Let us know if you try any of them!!

We don’t have kids, so we never look for that, but we will try to remember to check!!
