- In episode 2 of the Top 50 BBQ Tour, we visit Baker Boys BBQ In Gonzales, TX. The ribs, brisket, sausage and turkey were all fantastic and so were the sides and the desserts. This is the most consistent plate of bbq we have ever tried and we really enjoyed it. Baker Boys BBQ is not as famous as some of the others in this tour, but it's incredible Texas BBQ and should be on your list to try!!
Oh damn...Baker Boys is so good! We have it at least once a month. Can never go wrong. The stuffed chicken leg is a winner.
They were sold out when we went. I was so bummed!!
Yumm !
It was so good!!
Worked down there at Tyson during Jan and I ate here every week!
Nice job. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Charles!! The incredible thing is that they just keep getting better!!
I hope you guys (and your dear ones) are fine and safe in the extreme weather conditions in Texas. Stay safe. 😊
We're good!! Thank you so much for asking!!
Love Smittys in Lockhart. About 25 mins from Baker Boys.
We ate at Kreuz in Lockhart. It was really disappointing!!
@@FollowMeImAFoodie Smittys and Kreuk are owned by the same family but separate family members. I like Smittys better!!!
Guys, Come to Tomball Texas and try Tejas BBQ!!!!
We did and we loved it!! Stay tuned for that episode!!
@@FollowMeImAFoodie sweet!!! hell yah!!!!!
@@vinnytx2755 Have you tried their burger joint?? Same owners, so I can't wait to try it!!
@@FollowMeImAFoodie yes we have tried the Tejas burger joint!!!! Burgers were great but!!!! I wouldn't say it was the best.
If and when back in the area, and in search of a bad ass burger. A must try is Joy Love Burger, about 15mins south of Tomball. Tomball parkway and spring cypress rd.
Rabels roadhous bbq in New Berlin is the shitttt.
Thanks for the tip!!
The trick to the banana pudding, is using frozen slices
I've never heard that. Thanks for the tip!!
What is the #1 bbq place in texas Goldee’s in Dallas Fort Worth? Just heard about it. What about East texas any thing there? Thks
I eat there for lunch once a week.
It was really good!! What’s your go-to?
@@FollowMeImAFoodie turkey and ribs. Sometimes I get brisket along with it.
I like baker boys, have since they opened..there's a place in Waelder, east of Gonzales on 10, I don't know the name ..barely remember what I got from there, but it was good to me!
Where are the best bbq joints at around here(Gonzales) ?!
Been here for 6yrs and still looking for the best!!
I've only had Baker Boys in Gonzales. If you're down to drive a little, this is my favorite BBQ spot in the world. ua-cam.com/video/5QAfbW5weVc/v-deo.html
@@FollowMeImAFoodie most definitely will, thanks!
Dang it! Now I’m craving bbq, but I’m in Woodward, OK. Do you guys have an Amarillo restaurant on your list?
There is Tyler’s and Spicy Mike’s, but they aren’t the same as this incredible central TX bbq we have been trying on this tour.
Where are y'all now
Hope you guys are safe!
We are!! Thank you!! It was a rough week, but we're back in the 50's today and things seem back to normal!!
Go a little piece up the road to luling city market and you wont go back to Baker boys.
I love the sausage at City Market!!!
first
Not as hard to do on this channel. LOL
Dont waste your time in lockhart, Blacks BBQ is crap as well, luling....aint a brisket joint the city market is a sausage powerhouse, best beans are at san marcos bbq, best turkey is at hays county bbq, gonzales has a buncha folks comin up, but still far from.awesome, but still good.
And dont even bother with Davilas in Seguin, you wont leave unsatisfied, you leave ticked off and angy with what they have the nerve to serve, straight garbage
LaVernia is ok, I guess, The roadhouse (new berlin)and wittys are kinda an institutionalized thing, not really that good either.
You brought your truck into my shop a while back....the old meineke building on court street
I'm jealous that you live down there and get to experience so much great BBQ
