As of December 2022, blocking individual email addresses is the ONLY solution that GOOGLE has provided for this issue. Since this obviously does not help with spammers sending from different email addresses each time, please direct your feedback concerns directly to Google by doing the following steps.
1. Go to drive.google.com.
2. Click the support button (question mark icon) in the upper right corner.
3. Click "Send feedback to Google."
4. Type and submit your concerns.
Also, go to the support page for this issue (support.google...) and select "NO" on "Was this helpful?"

My God Google really needs to add a feature to block all unwanted documents
They've been hounding me with PDFs leading to adult websites to sign up
I know this is pretty well tangentially related to the video but I just wanted vent my frustrations since the help forum is freaking useless on the matter

Thank you. I don’t know why they can’t just use an email-style spam filter on Google Drive. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
Sometimes I wonder if this is by design, kinda like how games like World of Warcraft has staff directly linked to bot farms.
This is not a good enough solution since blocked users cans simply switch to another email address and continue sending you spam. I suggest choosing "Report abuse" instead of blocking. Hopefully those reports will push Google to provide a solution that allows us to block everyone not in our contacts or not in a whitelist that we provide.
Ah yes. That is in indeed the better solution. Hopefully, Google will add some sort of spam filter to Drive soon that functions similarly to a spam email folder.
Funny thing is I get the notification on my phone but can't find the spam in my drive account
That’s interesting. It’s not in the “shared with me“ folder? Maybe Google now has a filter that hides or deletes suspected spam. That would be awesome.
@@therabbitpad I think so because every one I see is not in my 'shared with me' folder when I check drive. And the spammers are using different names for every spam. I really hope this doesn't get out of hand.
Same here. Just started a week ago.
I was having the same issue, but then I discovered that you must actually open the file for it to show up in your 'shared' folder. Which is a bummer, bc you need it to show up in your profile to be able to report it.
I am having the same issue..I know this post was a while ago, but my issue just started 2 Weeks ago. Each time I get the notification on My phone but can't find it in My Drive. I'm annoyed and was searching a way to BLOCK them. However, each time a different email🤨 need a solution 🤦♀️.
I've got several of these "presentations" on my drive over the past week.
Randomly generated emails presumably by a bot.
I blocked them all but they keep coming.
I'm just about ready to transfer all my files to another more secure public server.
That’s unfortunate. Google needs to do something on their end like the ability to block all incoming files from non-contacts or something.
@@therabbitpad I've read about parents worried about their kids on shared Google drives.
If they don't fix this, there may be criminal activity and lawsuits.

I'm suddenly getting google drive spam on my Android phone but they don't appear in Google drive on the PC (same google account). Is this something new? (no malware on the phone when I checked.)
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this. I’m not sure why it would show on one device and not the other. That’s interesting.

You did what you can to help us out. People are angry at you even though they should be angry at google for not having a function that stops all sorts of spam all at once from multiple new emails.

Doesn't work, it's says couldn't block so and so from Google Drive. WTF???!!

Google's solution to the problem so far is not really solving the problem. Hopefully they'll come up with something better soon.
I tried to do this but It say conexion fail or error of synchronisation PLEASE HELP!!

That's great but I have a phisher shared file that I blocked successfully, but I cannot remove the file nor report it. Answers?
Within the "Shared with Me" folder, there should be the option to remove or report the file when right-clicking it. Has it disappeared? I really hope Google comes up with a better solution to the spam problem than this.
@The Rabbit Pad when i remove, it says its removed and it disappears, then comes right back a second later. When i report, it says network not available! >:(

It’s actually quite disgusting that we can’t block google drive entirely
If you haven't heard, Google Drive now has a dedicated spam folder. You will be able to move unwanted shared files to that folder that will be permanently deleted, and it appears that Google Drive will be able to classify suspected files as spam and place them in the folder like they do with email. Hopefully this helps.

How do you block them on Google documents?
I believe this process should block them from all of the Google apps.
