Important: This soundbank is NOT compatible with the Peak and won't even install. I'm trying my best to get this message out there and as visible as possible so to avoid issues, confusion and endless refunds. Very sorry to the Peak users who were waiting for this, and I only just found out myself that sounds created on the Summit don't load into the Peak. It's pretty disappointing considering the time and effort I put into these, maybe in the future Novation will make a tool for conversion.
@@powermix24 I figured since I created only single layer sounds it would be Peak compatible, I think the real issue is probably things like the dual filter and a couple of other Summit exclusive features.
Hi my friend, is there any included instruction on how to get them into the Summit? I'm not yet familiar with the procedure. I have just signed up to your band camp so I can buy them.
@@maydaygoingdown5602 I included instructions, but it's basically done through Novation Components software, you open the bank via that and then send it to your Summit to the bank of your choice. It pretty much guides you anyway
Very nice sounds. Well done. In 40 years of buying and collecting synths, of which some are or have been some true exotics like the PPG2.3, Matrix 12 and many many others, I need to say that the Summit is one of the exceptional synths made in the last 10 years. (together with the TI) Even an Iridium (also read Quantum) did not last in my studio. They have a plethora of possibilities, but sounds like a bad Omnisphere. In contrary, the Summit is here since it was released on the market. It truly is an amazing, dark machine. Very dynamic and does not have that typical VA or plugin edge in its sound. I even managed to replicate Matrix 12 strings and Deckards Dream sounds on my Summit. Biggest flaw (but technically not possible because of its analog filter) is the absence of a pan per OSC.
Thanks! Yes Summit is a very cool synth, the lack of panning per osc is definitely annoying, I've found way more other unfortunate limitations when designing the soundset too, but it's still a great synth. I would personally lose the Summit before my Iridium though! I have both Iridium keyboard and Iridium desktop, and have owned the Quantum. It's one of/if not my favourite synth in the studio and one of the most powerful and versatile digital synths in recent times but it requires a lot of work to get the most out of it.
Whoa. 7:50 SA Pitch Black just made me shout "OH MY GOD WHAT'S THAT!?" from across the room. I came scampering over to see it was real. That is one of my favorite synth tones *ever* and you made it even better. I might need to turn on my Summit more than once a year now... 😁 Beautiful sounds, SA.
I find myself keep coming back to listen to that part, excellent sound design. It reminds me of the sound of Lorn, if anyone is familiar with his work.
Great patches and sound design State Azure, so nice to see you exploring it further! I also recently picked one up and did a review -- it's a beast! Look forward to more of your Summit videos in the future, too.
I LOVE my Summit so damn much. Inspiring me to get creating some new patches thanks dude :) Just makes me laugh that people dismiss and devalue this synth. We who know, know.
This is as if a Rogué and a Virus had a bastard child, it's amazing how dirty this synth gets 11:30 😳 If you touch this in the open sky you will see Predator's spaceship land. 👽
Just loaded these up and have only had the chance to have the quickest of plays, got as far the Dronemaster patch which is incredible and makes me look at my Summit with new eyes. I'll learn a lot from these patches.
Hey. Stunningly Gorgeous!! I comment a lot on your Vids. For a year or more, I've been stuck trying to decide: GEMINI or 3rd Wave. Every time I get close, I end up coming back to SUMMIT. More specifically, SUMMIT paired with ROLI RISE 2. I hear Summit can talk to MPE. I think....SUMMIT may be THE SUPREME VALUE of ALL Polysynths. AMAZING JOB AS ALWAYS.
Thank you! It's a tough choice between all these synths, I really couldn't recommend one over the other, they're all excellent and have their own sound.
If Summit's capabilities are used (layering/dual mode for example bnut there are others, since Summit is not just 2 Peak bounded together) it can not be compatible with Peak. Peak vs Summit compatibility is only guaranteed from direction Peak to Summit. In reverse direction it depends on the usage of the Summit only features in patches....
Dear State Azure!! I would like to know if any of the music products will be available in CD album form? Thank you very much for your reply!!!....It would be a great pleasure if this type of release could also be realized.....🌌🌈💙
I don't have any plans to release anything in physical media. My discography is already too large now for one person to manage it, bare in mind I would have to prepare and ship everything myself, do the design work etc etc. This is one of the downfalls of self-publishing/distribution and I don't really know a good solution that won't eat into my already stretched time.
Actually, now that I think about it some more. I'll look into it again for a possible future release. Past releases for now will have to be off the table though unless I look into hiring someone to work on this task. Let's see! Thanks for the reminder anyway.
@@stateazure dear State Azure!! I'm sorry, I'm not a professional, so I don't know what measures are required to authorize the CD release, and such a task certainly consumes a lot of time and energy. I really like to listen to music in good quality with a CD player and a stereo amplifier, because the end result dreamed by the composer can be almost of the same quality, but unfortunately this kind of instrumental electric music is not really found on the record market, that is, as far as the new generation is concerned, because the older artists. .. Vangelis, Mike Oldfield... the albums were still made on CD and vinyl. @@kislio8228 You know CD is kinda low quality now compared to digital options :) The thing with those big name artists like Vangelis etc, they didn't have to do any of the CD/vinyl stuff themselves, they focused on the music, while the major labels they were with handled all the time consuming mastering, packaging, distribution etc..I self-publish and have no label except myself, so nobody can help me with this work unless I pay companies. I only have a few made on the OpSix so far, it's going to be a while before I have a full pack and I want to be careful what I put my time into next. The next bank I do may even be a soft synth, I'm not sure. Eventually I'll hope to have a bunch of different banks for various synths, hardware and software but this will take me month/years I think.
@@stateazure coolio. You mentioned your headphones in your studio setup (they are super expensive), I use headphones typically also. Could you recommend a more budget headphones if you don't mind. Have you used beyerdynamic DT-770 for example . Cheers 🍻
I mentioned the DT 770 Pro in my studio tour, they were my second favourite headphones and very decent for mixing/producing with! I also used to use Sennheiser HD 25 IIs smaller, cheaper but surprisingly good for their cost! A lot of my early music was made with those.@@xntricity6446

Sounds so creamy! Have you used external effects in this video or it's all the on-board effects?
Thanks! Summit only for the effects. Just the looper is used sometimes for layering sounds.

Yeah sometimes :)
is this video using external effects? I see that box sitting above the summit that you touch occasionally.
No external FX. The pedal I'm using there is a looper, the DittoX4, so I can create some layered stuff on the fly.
