So with the SNAP increase, we cannot even get a candy bar. I am SSI and that is not considered income but it is when you want EBT or supplemental services that provide money.
They shouldn’t count that as Income because it’s something that was already paid in out of our checks in the first place. It’s almost like double taxing us 😢
Is sad that this country doesn't care for their citizens. In this date and age that people specially children are not getting the proper meals because of prices.😢
And those that have to follow specific diets like those with chronic kidney disease (there's no cure), diabetes (there's so cure), cancer (there's no cure).
Government needs to get busy and give people enough to survive. They need to change what is counted as income. Government benefits shouldn’t count as income period. It’s unfair to recipients.
They really need to increase the deductions for utilities. I have paid more in utilities this yr than ever before. Especially my power bills in the summer and natural gas bills in the winter. I have had to cut costs on buying food and other necessary items just to make ends meet.

I would like to see them raise the income limit for Medicaid higher. In this state people say to make enough income for a cheap house or rental the income limit on Medicaid would make them lose that medical assistance. The limit for EBT is much higher. The limit on EBT here would still allow a person to get housing and get ahead a little if they know how to budget. But then they would lose medical coverage.

I've just about maxed out my one and only credit card because I don't have any money left from my disability check to help with the increase of food prices and my food stamps just aren't enough.I'm barely making the credit card minimum payment right now & once it gets maxed out, I don't know what I'm going to do. I got a letter in mail Friday stating my foodstamps are going DOWN next month from $45 to $35. Makes NO sense. My income hasnt changed. Less when groceries cost more?
What I find odd is that the $23 a month my husband and I get would be the same for one or two people. I don't understand why , as a two person household, we don't get $46 . Never made sense to me. We are both disabled and low income. Sure it's better than nothing but still makes no sense that the $23 is for both one and two person households.

Nope it’s not going up our EBT is going to be $103 and we have had food stamps taken away from us and our income has not gone up. We are on a fixed income of Social Security have been for years. Every time our Social Security checks goes up our EBT goes down.
I don't know how you kept a straight face throughout this video. I make $23 a month off of EBT. It's for single mothers to get $800 in food stamps per child, so they don't have to hook for cigs as much; they can trade EBT purchases for crack too.
