Beautiful and super-enlightening interview. Mark Epstein is soo incredibly good explaining everything. I have learned a lot listening to him. And Chase Jarvis, you have been such a beautiful interviewer, asking really interesting and helpful questions and from a really humble and honest place. Thank you both!

Its so wonderful to find psychiatrists and therapists who include mindfulness and the incredible benefits of meditation rather than just throwing pills at everything.

“Obliterate the boundaries of your individuality” was part of a quote from Sadhguru when answering a question from a little girl at one of his lectures who had brittle bone disease. To me it was one of his best “life lessons”…and answers to a complicated question that kind of relates to how we perceive ourselves…our”ego!” None of us are perfect…and like Dr Epstein says “our egos are our best friend AND our worst enemy…it’s up to us to channel our thoughts and judgments of others to shine the light of kindness on to every one we meet…and into our own heart as well! That’s how ego is supposed to work!

I'm a huge fan of Mark Epstein's. I've listened to every podcast episode and UA-cam video that he has appeared in that I've been able to find. This may be the best episode I have ever found. Thank you for this.

Thought is nothing. That is so uplifting. Much of our trauma results from thinking about what was thought in a vicious cycle. Wonderful interview. Thank you both.
