      I don't train my mind for difficult times. I create good times and train my mind in the direction of a good life.

    To the *incredible person* seeing this, I wish you all the best in life❤ don't over blame yourself, accept things and go forward. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn the skills needed and get after it, all the keys to a happy life is in your hands. Keep pushing.

    I have noticed that these wonderful realisations quickly evaporate as soon as I get into the flow of life and often only afterwards can the insight be brought back on board. I am training my sense of humour in difficult times....thank you Tom for this valuable contribution🙏😇

    You say you’re scared to be a Dad but I know you know you’d be an incredible Dad! I think the reason you don’t have kids is because you’re a Father figure to so many thousands of people who look to you for advice. If you had a kid you’d pour a lot of energy on that one kid and thousands of people would not have the time with you they do now. I am grateful for your time. 🥰🤘🏻⚡️❤️‍🔥👩🏻‍🏭

    This message is for someone who needs to hear this and will fully understand it... You are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life. You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness (Forgiveness is for you; forgive your parents or anyone whom we have chosen to hurt us, to begin the process of healing and freedom. Remember: Forgiveness is for you to be freed, healed and happy. It’s a RESET BUTTON) and practice gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever. Love you always and I believe in you wholeheartedly no matter what ✨❤️ - Nat

      Interesting wording , whom we have chosen to hurt us . Is that a typo or is there a deeper connotation? And I agree. I have been struggling with forgiveness for childhood trauma , since I discovered forgiveness is the path to healing . That was about 16 years ago and still struggling with the concept .

    As far as psychedelics go I feel strongly with setting setting is most important. This is why I was so haywire in the 60s. People take a crap load of acid and just go walking around go to a concert or whatever. They’re gonna be distracted and they’re gonna be in a place where one uncontrolled or unexpected event because assertive damage. All the researchers say sent in setting. Next time I try this it’s gonna be in a place where I’m dealing with myself and the experience and nothing else with someone who’s experienced with and has training with it. In those settings that’s where you get people who have incredibly illuminating brilliant life-changing experiences. In uncontrolled settings that’s where you have people who have really bad life changing experience

    Self reliant . Aim high but expect ups & downs in life . Do not take life too seriously & enjoy your life . Be kind to all people & do not Judge . Always look on the bright side of life as good or bad does not last forever , live your dream as everyday is a blessing.

    1:02:05 I'm reminded of a definition I heard for the word or character for "Lee". Which is the grain in the wood, or the clouds in the sky. It patterns itself perfectly so it's instantly recognizable, however no patterns are the same. You people perfectly... even though you a diff people than everyone else. 😶‍🌫

    I believe that everyone starts off looking for God the Creator, who is always trying to reach His creatures by love and not force, but because of our selfish nature, we tend to go with something that gives us the okay to do what we really want to do. The Creator God has given us the ability to use our minds to get through this life in good and bad times, by seeking Him. We have evidence that the Creator has proven who He is by telling us in advance what we can expect in the future. We have the advantage of looking back to see Everything God our Creator said has happened and is happening. Yielding your mind to another human being based on his own theories takes more faith than Evolution. Keep searching for what is real, not just a way to medicate the mind through mental exercises. The Devil is the master of deception! There are only two ways The Creator, Jesus Christ, or the Devil, Lucifer, the fallen angel, who will pay for all the deceptions he has lured people into. Praying and studying the Bible daily, there is nothing like it!

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me and I will give you rest , for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for you’re souls . For my yoke is easy and my burden is light . • @mercyme8014
    @mercyme8014 2 роки тому

    Tom with those big squarish frames on his face always spouting on about “re-framing”, lol. His bobble-headed guest with frames rounded takes a softened approach using languaging like “babies” and “wombs”. Tom completely tunes this out and is looking for the hard edge, the lesson always. It’s amazing two such different people can really understand anything about each other with only language as their point in common. Add to that there are hundreds of interpretations about how we are using words and making meaning that is rapidly bouncing around between a traditional Buddhist teaching with a Western spin, psychiatry, practice, etc.. My ego tells me I understand conceptually everything thats on offer here. Then I suddenly remember what some Buddha said: ‘wisdom can’t be taught’. Ok, I can relax now and acknowledge my genuine state of cluelessness and “own it” as Tom might say. Own what? Why do I have to own everything? Is that due to growing up in the states? It’s endless.

    Great work Tom, but I had to switch off when you started talking too much about yourself. It’s not that you’re not interesting but I just feel it uncomfortably takes something away from the person you are interviewing. Get yourself booked into someone’s show as a guest and talk about yourself all you want, but please stop stealing your own guests airtime 🙏
