I wanted to say rest in peace, Akira Toriyama. There really aren’t any words I can think of to describe the pain this loss has brought to not just me, but millions of people around the world. Toriyama was such an amazingly creative person who really did create something unique and special with Dragon Ball. And it’s especially saddening given how this is technically the 40th anniversary of the entire Dragon Ball franchise overall. And it’s incredible how he helped inspire so many other anime and manga creators like Eiichiro Oda with One Piece, Masashi Kishimoto with Naruto, Tite Kubo with Bleach and so, so, so many more. Another tragic part to all this is that we’ve lost so many amazing manga artists these last few years like Kentaro Miura and Kazuki Takahashi and now we’ve lost the most well known of them all. I really do need to thank Toriyama for everything he’s done with creating this franchise and these amazing characters like Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and so many others. 1997. My mum bought a Dragon Ball comic (translated into my native language) for my brother and I. It was my very first introduction to Dragon Ball. I started reading more and more, even borrowing from my friends and cousins. 2001. My family and I moved to Leeds, England and stayed there for a year and 6 months. I, along with my brother, went to a school. I managed to learn basic English to communicate, but I am still having a hard time adjusting to the environment. I made a few friends but never quite clicked with them. That all changed when I found out that they loved watching Dragon Ball. From there, I was able to click with them quite easily. I remember how proud I was to be able to share my knowledge of Dragon Ball since they don't have access to the comic books like I did. 2003. I was a junior in a boarding school. On Saturday morning, me along with other students (juniors and seniors alike) waited in front of our warden's room. When the warden opened the door, he let some of us in so that we could bring out the TV from his room and bring it to the canteen. After setting the TV up and turning it on, we all waited while having breakfast just in time for an episode of Dragon Ball to start airing. It happened every week like clockwork. Sure, other students were looking forward to other shows and programs, but most of them were very excited for Dragon Ball. In fact, IIRC, a week after the last episode of Dragon Ball Z was aired, no one seemed to be excited to wait in front of the warden’s room to get the TV out at least until Dragon Ball GT started airing. When I said that Dragon Ball was a part of my life growing up, I was not exaggerating. Sure, I've outgrown it, but I'm still very nostalgic about it. It may not have changed my life in a big way, but it makes me appreciate the good memories I made growing up. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Akira Toriyama.
It's so heart-warming to see so many people show respect towards the genius behind the creation of ''Dragon Ball''. It just goes to show how iconic the show was, and how influential Akira Toriyama was. R.I.P. Akira Toriyama. I hope you are happy in heaven.

@@TheUltimateRare Use honorific, too. It is Toriyama-sensei.
@@miyako1909alright I'll fix it real quick.
no one really taught me which honorifics go to which so i didn't wanna accidentally tell them to use the wrong one 💀
@@TheUltimateRareit's his pen name, not real name but it is more appropriate to call him Toriyama than Akira...
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama.
His fans will never forget him. We will remain strong Akira…until we meet again. Rest in peace.💐

you might not know this, but you should use his last name. In Japan, They say the last name to show respect for people.
So call him Toriyama-Sensei, not Akira, because you don't know him personally.
@@TheUltimateRare Look I like the Japanese culture as much as the next guy, but I don't think a lot of people are gonna care for that.
This is beautiful. It’s not just the anime industry but the GLOBAL industry that acknowledges how much Akira Toriyama has influenced us. Rest in peace, prosperity and paradise sensei

Wow! I’m glad the kind of impact it had on everyone. When I liked something that much it had to be this big. Been watching dragon ball as a kid and still now 30 years later. Life wouldn’t be the same without this genius. RIP
LOL. They were all doing the DBZ poses. Lets see Superman beat that. But, in all seriousness its sad to see him gone.
@sadsadasdsadasdsadas As much as I like Goku Im afraid I have to disagree. But, he does beat him in popularity. Superman too overpowered and thats what makes him lame.
@@raycenteno7698 Dragon Ball beats the Superman cartoon in popularity because Dragon Ball is relatable to everyone trying to build themselves and Super Man is just a blessed character that's relatable to overpriced plain Wonder Bread.
@sadsadasdsadasdsadasYeah non comic book fans don't get that Death battle just took a bunch of random feats compiled them together like it's all the same Superman. Some versions of Superman are weaker and some are stronger but Death battle can't even decide what version of Superman they are using in their videos
@sadsadasdsadasdsadas Yeah they like to do that a lot with Marvel and DC characters especially. Bring up something that happened in the comics but then leave out all the context
@@raycenteno7698Goku felt closer, relatable with common folk and more friendly than Superman, which always been seen as somewhat superior race, not to mention he wasn't remotely interesting or funny to watch or read than Goku
When a legend dies just know that you are not the only one standing, mourning and appreciating his work. Akira Toriyama you may not be able to witness these events but I hope you can hear your Super Saiyan Fans screaming and cheering on your leagacy. Thank you being part of our childhood memories!😢
This is bringing me to tears, honestly. I'd be thinking that there won't be a lot of people who would love DB but this video has proved me wrong.

Akira Toriyama and his creation are treasure to this world, he is a life changer, inspirer and a sensei to many, to say his passing is tragic is an understatement, this is devastating beyond comprehension, there won’t be a single time were everybody lives will feel full or happy without him or his creation around, rest in peace Akira Toriyama and thank you very much for everything we all loved every minute, may we meet someday in the other side 😔🙏🕊️🕊️🕊️❤️🩹❤️🩹
Im not even a fan of sports yet i still understand how much of an impact Toryama had, his series touched many hearts and spirits of several generations and wont be forgotten. He was a legend and will live on in our souls until the end of time. Seeing all these people reminds me that we're all just Humans, grieving, im glad so many could come together and show their love and support.
This is great!! Sent chills down my spine
He brought so many people from so many backgrounds together, I’m gonna have to watch the show now.
there really is something so viscerally beautiful about seeing so many parts of the world brought together by their love for one man and his art that affected all of them
I've never watched Dragonball but I can't deny that literally the whole world knows about it. It's amazing.
watch it!! there’s a youtube upload of it of the main events shortened into movie size if you want the link.
Miss you akira i hope dragonball diama isn't the last project you preserved for us
I have never been a fan or watched any Anime or MANGA, but it is so nice to what a wholesome community and legacy this man has made, and all the people touched in great ways in the world by this culture. Bless you all.
"All things must come to an end not even the dragonballs last for ever." (Goku on Namek during the Frieza Saga). Akira Toriyama knew this and so he made an impact on this world during the time he had, and is still doing it even after he passed. When I look at Goku, I see Goku and Akira Toriyama as one in the same. Thank you for sharing your imagination with us Akira Toriyama. You will be missed
His art will never be forgotten 😔😔🥺😞🙁🙏 I'm 37 years old and i love DBZ
Me To Bro I’ve WATCHED Dragonball Super Episodes So MANY TIMES.
This was really awesome to see man
This is so heartwarming. Love from all over the globe. Hello from Australia. 💙
Rest in Hell Akira Toriyama 🔥
