I gotta say... Geo becoming its own kind of Anemo doesn't seem like that much of a fall to me. New geo characters are doing what anemo characters with the Viridescent set do (minus the CC of many anemo skills, plus the shield mechanics). I think Xilonen being its own sort of Geo Kazuha is setting this concept in stone, pun unintended!
Geo was actually intended to be a defensive alternative to Anemo. (anemo is offensive, while geo is defensive). They were neutral elements. In the beginning of the game, anemo has had Viridescent set & Geo has had Archaic Petra. It’s just that Petra was dog poo. its mechanic and execution was so restrictive. whereas Viridescent was so easy and fast. Not to mention Swirl itself was so friendly with other elements. Crystallize is just so cumbersome to use, restrictive and full of clunk. It provided paper-thin shields. It’s a worthless reaction, needless to say. That’s why Hoyo heavily pushed for Mono Geo during Inazuma because they knew Crystallize was so bad. But Mono Geo meant that Geo would be stagnant and stale in the coming years, which is why we never had Geo units in Sumeru. In the long run, mono geo was not sustainable because Genshin combat thrived on mixing elements. That’s why in Fontaine, Navia was introduced who benefited from other elements. And in Natlan, Xilonen is introduced to function like Kazuha is to Anemo. But is this sustainable? Yes and no. somehow, i think Hoyo still needs to improve the base design of Crystallize in order to fix Geo: - auto absorb shards - crystallize shields stackable - crystallize shield strength based on the combined Defense stats of the team - when Crystallize shields break, they should explode a small AoE. Enemies hit by the AoE will be applied the element of the shard. This way, Crystallize can be used to spread elements and chain reactions just like what Swirl does. Swirl spreads elements in a frontloaded way; Crystallize could spread elements in a backloaded way. I believe these things could significantly improve Geo’s synergy with other elements, which would lead to more exciting team comps. Crystallize would be more useful and not just provide flimsy shields. Mono geo teams can still continue with their niche. They won’t be affected. But non-Mono Geo teams will thrive. Geo would not need to rely only on passive skills of geo characters who want PHEC (pyro hydro electro cryo) teams. Geo could have been as good as Anemo has been.
@@skyhart9926why did they even make crystallize drop those shards? There's pretty much never a reason to avoid absorbing them, so why not just make the reaction give a shield instantly?
@@alexprus7953 yeah i dont like having to pick up shards also. If i created the reaction, give it to me right away. so your idea is great. i would love that too. But navia literally needs something to absorb in her kit. so it’s kinda too late now if there are no shards. thats why i said to just allow auto-absorb of shards by characters. it’s as good as instantly giving shields without changing navia’s mechanics.
Lowkey disagree with you i would say currenly cryo is the worst the newer geo charcters are pretty good and xilonen is a bennet plus kazuha and crystalize the reaction is useful for kachina navia and xilonene navia for her dps the other two for the artifact set
exactly, everything is dead about cyro there is no freeze friendly abyss in ages, superconduct sucks also physicals too, and shatter... SHATTER IS THE WORST REACTION IN GAME!!! the best dps is still Ayaka even after so long after her release, the other elements all had a better unit being released in Sumeru + Fontaine cycles also Shenhe the cyro savior is nowhere to be seen, they dont want to rerun her anytime soon
@@Nosiop09 what exactly? bringing back freeze friendly abyss? finally rerun shenhe? i wish they would straight up rework shatter to be more like hyperbloom/burgeon (3-step reactions) and give some love to physical teams, imagine the first unit actually doing physical dmg spoiling the next characters helping them lol
@@San-cb9mj I bet you they make like a nilou and have freeze do additional DMG or apply to all enemies no matter what if there are only cryo or hydro party members
For the comments saying that cryo is in a worse state: the thing is, next year, when we’ll get Shneznaya, cryo is probably going to be buffed, so while cryo has a good chance of getting better, Liyue has already been released and Hoyoverse has no reason to focus on geo enough to make it better as an element and not as single characters.
@arifezwan8893 also true, but sumeru came out right after inazuma, and a lot of electro characters that came out at that time were considered mid, like Yae or Kuki, and they got buffed less than a year after they came out. There's also the fact that dendro came out at that time. I'm just saying, but they could be saving a dendro-cryo reaction for Shneznaya.
@@laltrametadimarco dendro-cryo would be very interesting. That's buffing Cryo, but nerfs Bloom-related teams, since there will be no more Fridge teams. Would literally be the first nerf ever in Genshin history
@@thanatoswing she buffs anemo characters, but she doesn't buff anemo as an element. Gorou didn't suddenly make geo good. One good character of an element doesn't make the entire element good.
Hes still right. He's talking about the fall of the gio ELEMENT not the gio characters. Navia does things for others elements, her role is to aid other already established elements. What does navia do for the gio element aside from just having the ability to say "oh look gio can't be that bad it has this good character on it!" No. Navia is a good gio character but gio is still not a good element. What makes navia good is hardly gio related and related to what she does for other elements. And while this works for electro, dendro, hydro this dosent work for gio as electro, dendro, hydro have a multitude of established teams, reactions, all around use cases. Gio as a element is severely lacking that.
You shouldn’t conflate an element with a character. Navia is amazing because of her kit, not because of Geo. Geo as an element is badly designed. Crystallize, Geo’s only reaction, is next to worthless-clunky to pick up shards and provides flimsy shields. Geo constructs have problematic casting mechanics. And then Mono geo is a stagnant direction for Geo. Navia is awesome because she avoided what Geo offers. she didn’t rely on the shields of Crystallize, and instead made use of Crystallize shards as her ammunition. She absorbed shards instead of picking them up. She avoided Mono geo teams because one of her passives requires PHEC (pyro hydro electro cryo) elements. She didn’t need to work with clunky geo constructs either. She basically avoided Geo in order to be the best Geo DPS in the game. and that tells a lot about Geo (as an element) being so bad. So it’s funny when Geo takes credit on Navia’s success. Geo didn’t make Navia amazing. Navia’s kit made her amazing. And her kit worked so well because she avoided all of the things that’s bad about Geo, which is everything in Geo.
@@silis4645exactly. as ironic as it may sound, navia is amazing because she avoided geo. she’s fantastic because of her kit, not because of her element.
Noelle is still doing good but all these geo carries would be magnitudes stronger if they were a different element. Geo itself is still pretty bad because HoYo insists that an inert defensive element requires no buffs.
On one hand: everyone seems to say "geo bad". On the other hand: I've just 36* abyss with Navia hot rock first half and Itto/Chiori monogeo second half with ease. Tbh whenever the abyss doesn't have enemies with tanky elemental shields that basically require certain counter elements, geo is always a comfortable choice it is very versatile.
No character is bad, but you can justify playing itto over any other DPS. Itto is not bad, but he is *comparatively* bad. Just look at xiao now. He got massive improvements.. But Itto? Hoyoverse neglected him
True, also play geo teams usually in abyss. I find them fun to play, bc i don't really enjoy multiple colorful numbers on the screen, and i prefer to see what i'm doing and how. That's just a preference. Also Itto really needs that c1 to function comfortably, same probably with c2 Zhongli or c2 Navia. But that's an issue for many non-geo characters as well (like Neuvellette, or Hu Tao, or Tartaglia, etc).
I've always thought of Geo being some kind of shield element but with the characters coming out recently I doubt that that's going to be the case. Maybe Geo will eventually find its identity, but until then it's probably going to remain the weakest element for a while
I think geo's identity is unflinching raw strength/brute force. it's meant to be the inert element, rather than just earth. the problem is that crystsallize falls off after mid game, and even then it's mostly against PEHC elements. I think that geo has a lot of potential in terraforming since it has constructs, and having crystallize serve as a better stacking shield and give it ways to differentiate from other shields.
@@proles8 unflinching brute force = weakest among elements. meant to be inert lead to mono geo-one of the worst, if not the worst, team comp in the game. Just because it’s “inert” doesn’t have to necessarily mean non-synergistic with other elements. Geo’s potential to terraform is next to useless because geo constructs are either clunky to cast or break easily when summoned. Crystallize is next to worthless too. But i believe crystallize is Geo’s gateway to improve itself if: - shards are auto-absorbable at base level; - Crystallize shields stack - Crystallize shield strength isn’t based on EM, and instead it should be based on the team’s overall Defense stat. - crystallize shields after breaking should explode in an AoE. Enemies hit in the AoE will be applied the element of the crystallize shield. this way, crystallize (just like swirl) can be used to spread elements and chain reactions. swirl spreads elements in a frontloaded way; crystallize spreads elements in a backloaded way. As for Geo constructs, their clunk needs to be fixed: - when Geo constructs break, their geo shell breaks, but they would leave a geo construct phantom that can’t be destroyed (just like oz, yuegue or guoba) and they will finish their duration (just like all other summons).
@@skyhart9926 I like these much better than other ideas that I've seen that don't fit in the game features, though I doubt crystallizewill scale off team EM, but if it becomes stackable then it should be able to overcome it Although it's not a focus of the game I think that crystallize could have great application in keeping your ellies alive in coop, and enough stacking can make the crystallize become geo for much better shielding character shields will still be good by virtue of not needing constant geo damage, but geo crystallize can solo make you tanky/make up for if your shield breaks
early on in the game's life i honestly thought Geo was a little redundant, albeit very strong (mind you i main Noelle of all characters) shield on skill & burst but also shield on reaction? strong? yes. but a bit overkill? also yes i was honestly kinda just waiting for a geo version parralel to anemo's viri set.. which we never really quite got even still
xilonen is extremely good, cryo is the worst element. I also disagree about anemo being the best element, yeah vv is insanely good but newer meta teams are not that tied to vv, imo currently the list goes like this: 1. Hydro 2. Dendro 3. Anemo 4. Electro 5. Pyro 6. Geo 7. Cryo
Some people say Cryo is now the worst. But I don’t think. Cryo still has access to amazing elemental reactions. I still think Geo is at the bottom of all elements. The core design of Geo is either boring, stagnant or bad: 1. Crystallize is a terribly designed elemental reaction for Geo. It’s a weak reaction. Picking them up is annoying, especially when they appear within enemy hitboxes. And when you get them, they’re not even worth the effort. You’re better off ignoring them. making auto-absorb of shards via only certain characters is a bad solution. Hoyoverse should have just made Crystallize shards auto-absorbable by any nearest character (or at least to Geo characters on field). That should have been an integrated mechanic of Crystallize right from the start. 2. Geo constructs are also badly implemented into the game. They’re so clunky and easily destroyed (Ningguang’s screen, Albedo’s flower, Zhingli’s pillar). Geo constructs of Itto, Chiori & Kachina are slightly better, but overall Geo constructs are badly designed. If Hoyo is to improve newer constructs from newer characters, then they need to improve all geo constructs since the start of the game. 3. Zhongli is the only archon who invalidates his element’s elemental reaction. All other archons enhance their element’s elemental reactions. Zhongli makes Geo’s already-worthless reaction even more worthless. 4. Slapping geo DPS with high multipliers is not a good solution to improve Geo. It’s a lazy solution. 5. Gorou’s kit was also a bad direction for Geo. Mono Geo was a mistake. It made Geo stale. People say they like Geo to be reactionless. And that’s fine. But if reactionless is the only thing Geo offers, then that’s just sad. It would be nice if Geo offered reactionless and reaction-based playstyles. Having options is a good thing. Currently, the only way Geo can “interact” with other elements is by giving Geo units a passive that requires them PHEC (pyro hydro electro cryo) elements. But even that doesn’t fix Geo’s core issues. Just another bandaid to a bleeding artery. 6. Archaic Petra (the supposedly Geo equivalent of Anemo’s Viridescent Venerer) is a huge fail. Clunky and restrictive implementation made it undesirable, which further made Geo & Crystallize worse than they already were. 7. To this day, Geo not having a reaction with Dendro was a huge missed opportunity to improve Geo. Personally, I think it’s one of the dumbest decisions of Hoyoverse. People say it’s gonna make elemental reactions complicated. I don’t think so. There is always a way to make things better. Hoyoverse is just often lazy or intentionally oblivious to truly improve things for Geo. How Geo was designed from the start was just terrible overall. How Hoyo tried to fix Geo along the way was not any better. And it’s too late to change or improve it now. Or maybe not, but Hoyoverse is never really gonna do anything right with Geo because the element was badly designed right from the very start. Geo needs an overhaul imo.
I agree with some of your points. Crystallize reaction is flavorless, Archaic Petra is dogpoo and Geo and dendro reaction was a missed opportunity yes. But hear me out.... Geo has the highest damage ceiling element since it cannot cause reactions with the other elements, having crystallize was the safest route they can make before Geo could have broken everything that comes before they could make that change; if they have made Geo to have reactions to the elements they either have to dumb-down their scaling or stick with the high scaling WITH the reactions on top, that'll be overkill. Gorou was also fine, he's perfect for Geo as he makes DEF' scaling Geo units to have a higher scaling than being the only Geo on the team; every element has a niche support: Mika, Faruzan and most importantly Shenhe a 5 star. They all have their uses but some are better than others.....in very specific teams. Geo constructs are as intended due to the mechanics that their wielders have. Ningguang's screen can be easily broken, but it has a 12 second CD, while staying on that spot until it is broken, it doesn't have a duration. Same with Albedo's flower, it's weak sure, but a 4 second CD for a skill that has a 30 second duration is balanced; same goes with Zhongli, not only that it gives you the thickest shield imaginable but it has a 12 second CD for a 20 second duration. Itto's Ushi have that high damage tolerance as it's embedded for his kit to gain a stack of SS whenever Ushi takes damage and when his duration expires. With Chiori, I don't know much about her but from what I can gather, her Tamoto's are the only thing for her to deal damage and gain energy, other wise she'll be useless at best. And with Kachina, from what I can deduce is that it does take damage but I don't know how much scaling it has on her DEF; however, it's not a taunt for enemies to damage on, it just deals damage overtime, plus her phlogiston adds to her usability. And regarding with Geo not reacting with dendro, I think it was a smart move overall. Genshin already has a ton of reactions by the different elements, some are trivial than others, and some amplified it to the next level. Geo reacting with dendro could have made the reactions more dynamic thus more complicated, as the same can be said for cryo and dendro. You never want a highly diverse system such as Genshin's reactions to be extremely diverse that it already is. Navia is the the only Geo character that uses the crystallize effectively but even then, crystallize could have been useless as Navia could have had a mechanic like Itto where her normal attacks gives her SS so she can gain those bullets for her skill to use it upon. Not everything in genshin has to be reaction based to be useful, it already has an abundance of reactions to utilize even before dendro came out. Basically, crystallize was an afterthought for an already balanced element.
@@josephusaquila So many good points here; I think that rather than Genshi being a game about elemental reactions, its instead a game about elemental interactions and classes the elements range on a spectrum from being super reliant (dendro) to hardly reliant (geo) on reactions elements that tend to be supportive, offensive, and even subverting the tropes sometime the elemental system is mean to facilitate fun team building and offer many playstyle options; you can clear content regardless, but how they feel will be different
I think Crystalize could've been better if the shards go after you similar to elemental orbs. Also I suggest that crystalize shields could stack(but with certain amount of times) and it's shield strength is scaled on the character in the active party with the highest DEF
@@ihavelowcom-prehension_skills those are really fantastic solutions for Crystallize to make it more worth it. - auto-absorb shards - crystallize shields stack - shield strength based on character with highest defense these are all excellent suggestions. i would like to add: - once crystallize shield breaks, it explodes in a tiny AoE and enemies hit within AoE will be applied the PHEC element of the shard. this way, crystallize can be used to spread elements and chain some reactions just like anemo does. Swirl spreads elements in a frontloaded way, while Crystallize could spread elements in a backloaded way.
@@josephusaquila and those are exactly the issues of geo: 1. High damage ceiling to balance out the worthlessness of crystallize. why are we ok for a reaction to be unviable competitively and worthless? Hoyo needs to reasonably lower the damage ceiling of geo and make way for crystallize to become more exciting to actually contribute to the power of a team. saying that “geo has the highest damage ceiling, so let’s make crystallize pathetic, and call it a day” - is lazy game design. 2. Gorou ruined Geo by pigeonhole-ing Geo to Mono. a requirement of 3 Geo units made Geo teams stale. At least with other niche elemental buffers, they offered more elemental variety. like i said, i don’t mind if Geo can be used for Mono. but if Mono is the only thing that Geo can offer, then you’re gonna make it stagnant. Would it not be nice if an element offers mono options and non-mono options? The best gorou offers is just with 1 non-geo element. But he sucks you in to primarily stay mono, and that’s a bad design imo. having options is better than just having 1 option. for Geo units like Navia, Xilonen and Yunjin that want PHEC elements, they can’t effectively use Gorou as a niche support for Geo because Gorou barricades you in Mono. Would be more acceptable if he didn’t require 3 Geo units (and just required 2) so there’s more flexibility in team building. 3. Geo constructs are intended to be super easily breakable and can’t be casted on certain terrains - is as intended? I’m sorry but that’s bs. summons by other characters from other elements don’t have casting restrictions and they finish their durations no matter what. so what if some Geo constructs have short CDs? so does other summons by other non-geo characters, and their summons don’t get destroyed on the spot. do you even know how annoying it is when you summon Albedo’s flower and it breaks on the spot and you’d have to wait 4 seconds to re-cast it? Even if it’s just 4 seconds, it messes your rotation and disruptions your DPS. when Mona’s water phantom or Fischl’s Oz is cast, do you worry they’re gonna get destroyed? No. Some Geo constructs don’t have that luxury. Geo constructs should have the unbreakability of Chiori’s dolls. Geo constructs when cast should finish their duration just like all other summons. If they get destroyed, then let their Geo shell get destroyed but they should leave a Geo construct phantom that can’t be destroyed and finish their duration, unless casted again somewhere else. 4. Navia doesn’t really effectively use Crystallize. She’s just using the shards as ammunition for her gunbrella. She’s not really utilizing the what crystallize does. She doesn’t even care what element of crystallize shard she absorbs. She doesn’t even modify crystallize shards to make them provide stronger shields. Hoyo is actively neglecting Crystallize because they know it’s a sh^tty reaction. Xilonen doesn’t even use them at all. They have Xilonen her own Samplers instead of making her deal with Crystallize shards’ elements. 5. Elemental reactions are the core of genshin combat and gameplay. Genshin is actively advertised that way. Mono Geo is the antithesis to that. And like i said, while mono is ok, it shouldn’t be the only option an element offers. Every element should offer mono and non-mono options. having choices is power. Hoyo just gives passive talent for characters wanting PHEC elements is their only way to synergize geo with other elements. But it’s just artificial. If only Crystallize was designed better, Geo would not be so stale and stagnant. Adding a Geo + Dendro reaction isn’t gonna break Genshin. it will just make it even more interesting. Genshin is a game. It’s fiction. There are always ways to make things work better if Hoyoverse really wants to. But they don’t. They think Geo is just fine as it is. But it is not.
imo geo needs more reasons to invest into, it’s unfortunate how itto’s mono geo team is essentially a worse version of xiao’s premium team as it currently stands. Faruzan exceeds gorou in terms of buffing and Xilonen will not work in mono geo due to her requiring two phec teammates. I think geo resonance should first increase damage based on the amount of geo units in the team, just due to the sheer amount of damage a team based only on pure strength will lose without reactions, and making geo shred all types of shields like how they absorb all elements would make them feel a lot better especially against elemental shields. I feel like Itto has the most potential to be a really good character, just due to his numbers alone, but without insanely high scaling supports or reactions the team falls off
I disagree that Geo can't be improved without powercreeping the current BiS members already on the team. Zhongli currently has 2 Geo specific mechanics that are SOLELY tied to him for no reason atp. Why is he still the ONLY character with Petrify and Geo Construct Resonance. The Chasm even has a mechanic used in puzzles that Geo could use in detonating Geo infused boulders with Geo resonance. We can get a character who's main gimmick is construct resonance that does up to date dmg and at the end of their rotation they detonate all constructs on the field for a big nuke and resets their team's cooldowns. Or maybe a character who Petrifies enemies and reduces their Def by like 30% (so they don't overlap with Xilonen). Or they can just do more with Crystallize, it's so frustrating because it feels like Geo has so many possibilities for buffs that they just aren't looking at
Yunjin forgotten, sadge. Imo the problem with geo is the slow rate they took releasing characters specially during Liyue-Inazuma and then Inazuma-Fontaine era, it truly showed that devs were pushing things back as they had to figure out what to cook next for the element. It sucks that they barely provided things involving the intricacies of it such as constructs or crystalise. At least Navia felt like a step into the right direction in that part and it seems like Xilonen will continue it after being the first 5* geo support since 1.1-1.2 (if we count Albedo's support capabilities, if not even worse because it's since Zhongli the patch prior). We also know they gave Chiori that construct passive for getting an extra doll but lbr, that thing felt mostly like bait for then selling her C1 when she herself does nothing for supporting a construct-based playstyle like the old microwave team. If devs wanted they could revive constructs and fix the hitbox collissions (they already did in 3.1 for Albedo himself because some of the non-boss enemies back then were destroying his flower in 3.0 and after complaints it got patched), a better Petra set could have also been done that's less annoying to activate, more versatility within the cast like another shielder option (even if 4*), a healer, maybe another catalyst user that could work as an amazing rainbow driver for other elements and let off fielders shine, etc; but I guess releasing the 84th pyro onfield dps is way more important in their priority checklist lmao (not like we need other things covered up since 1.X era... right?)
Wonder if cryo will ever get back into meta. They refuse to rerun the units for some reason. They seem to be at least trying with geo with navia and Xilonen encouraging other element teams. Geo really needs more reactions at this point though. Cryo and physical have been in a sad state for a long time now though so we will have to see what they do to bring it back
As a geo main i don't find this element bad or boring or weak, but that's bc i like the element. I like how simple it is, and yeah, despite it being "yellow phys" characters are fun to play. At least for me. BUT as a geo main, i as well see why many people are unsatisfied with the element. From the "normal" experience stand point that is. If we talk objectively here, then yeah, geo is underperforming in comparison to other elements. And the problem here is the lack of reactions with some of them. So the geo reaction type should be reworked. For example, a simple change of a crystallize scaling from EM to Def or HP would solve half of the problem, it'd be also great if getting a shiled via crystallized reaction characters would get some sort of buff regardless of the set. And why there's no reaction with dendro is still beyond me. Smth like vines or stun for enemies would be cool idea for geo-dendro. But alas. As i've said i'm satisfied with geo as it is, but i'd not mind changes so more people could appreciate the element.
One thing people forget about Shielding is that it got buffed in another way. Your shields used to be able to get hit even when you were invincible, making them highly breakable. Not only did geo shields get stronger it started taking half the hits.
If we at some point get content that's defence focused rather than "kill it as fast as possible" focused, I think geo will shine. I really hope geo stays as the kind of island that it currently is and that hoyo will lean further into the "what if defence as a stat was an element" idea. Geo has been my favorite element since practically day one and it's been kind of frustrating to see hoyo just ditch it in favor of buffing the already popular elements. The geo characters and the geo aesthetics are top tier in my opinion.
I don’t think Xilonen is the power creep version of Zhongli. She might have more team wide buffs and damn, I’m really excited for her, but I also see how useful Zhongli has been for all those dps that need interruption resistance and even his ultimate tends to be underrated. Being able to petrify enemies can be very useful for some abyss runs. I
Geo isn't an element, it's yellow physical. When you start using it for Crystalize or at least for the constructs I will add it to the rest. every good Geo character is there for everything but it's element. Even Navia just uses cystalize as ammo and not the shield. It's kinda their fault because everything surround Geo would be too powerful if it worked properly. Constructs blocking, Artifacts like Archaic petra working off field, or even raising elemental master to make crystalize a reliable shield. double Geo is gonna turn into 2 Natlan characters Xilonen and Kachina wearing archaic petra and the natlan artifact. maybe not probably not enough room for that.
Next region will lean towards cryo reactions. Geo has a dps reaction with frozen enemies called "shatter". That's where geo (and physical) can get their next big buff
Geo is not the worst element anymore, cryo is. I mean we got Xiloen or something like that and she is supposed to carry natlan with her great buffs. You cannot freeze anything nowadays using cryo.
Geo was always meant to be the defensive utility for buffing while Anemo was the offensive utility for buffing. 1.0 had Viridescesnt Venerer which you activate with swirl. very easy. Archaic Petra was activated by picking up crystallize shards. way harder. Add on the domain it was in being paired with Retracing Bolide (basically a fodder set)… Yeah no wonder players never built into Geo units as buffers. The mechanic of picking up crystallize shards was too clunky. Albedo was basically made to work with archaic petra- his burst gives an extra 125EM after use which was meant to strengthen the shield you gain with crystallize. Geo has always been “the best offense is a good defense” and Genshin players have historically overlooked defensive utility. Geo isn’t bad, players just had the wrong idea of how the characters were meant to be used.
Geo is bad. What the hell do you mean by players overlook defensive utility when Zhongli is one of the most used units in the entire game. Crystalize is just a garbage reaction.
the em to shield strength ratio is practically useless tho, if it scaled off health or def maybe, but there is 0 point to building more em on a geo unit
@@panpan4757 my point is that the original vision of the devs was for geo to be defensive buffing, not that it was particularly strong at shielding. you only have to pick up the crystalize shield with the AP set holder to get the buff, not keep the shield for the entire buff to be active
Except there is one problem with that “the best offense is a good defense” and no players don't overlook anything, (if anything devs did maybe), the problem is that difficulty of the game is based on Time limit + HP sponge/invuln phases, meaning you need to have high enough damage to successfully finish the content. No need for more defense than zhongli shield and everybody uses it anyway. Also what is even defensive utility ??? get shield --> teammate character doesn't die, what else is there to utility of so called defense ? In my opinion, they should have allowed archaic petra to buff all crystalized elements without picking up and even if crystalized shield broke, basically give it duration of buff and being refreshable, that would have made geo somewhat better (it isn't bad though now) devs either purposefully made crystalized bad with how it scales or they straight up messed it up from minute 0 and I don't even know how is that possible when there is whole team of developers and not just 1 or 2 person
Geo's identity is an all-rounder element. Jack of all trades. It's not best in slot in any teams in terms of element reaction but it can compensate what you lack in your teams. Its an element without any classification.
I love geo, ever since I got the Itto Full Geo team and how it carried me throughout so many Abyss cycles... I fell in love with it. Now that Chiori is out, that love has only strengthened because Chiori is perfection (gonna C6 her if I'm lucky this rerun)
In my opinion... Cryo is the worst. It serves NO PURPOSE. All of the Cryo characters except Wriothesley and maybe Rosaria are usless. Maybe that will change for Ganyu with Mavuika's release... But still. It's like putting a bandate on a vase that has been cracked into million pieces.
No, cryo has bad CHARACTERS. Geo has bad REACTIONS There's a difference If we took the current geo roster and made them cryo with no changes to their kit and swapped the cryo characters to be geo, geo would be absolute trash Hell, if you took all of the hydro characters in the game and made them geo, they'd still only make geo barely above average Geo is the worst element, it just has a couple good characters Cryo is a fairly decent element (has access to melt), it just has bad kits
@@justapasserbyrandomperson9325 I would argue having all the hydro characters become geo would be worse than current geo lol. The literal only good unit that would exist would be neuv
@darkdragonx650 Is that a typo? Do you mean the current geo units being swapped with hydro would make hydro worse than it currently is? I'm guessing not bc you brought up Neuvillette, but my whole point is that any element with better character kits than geo would get worse if they became geo, which is exactly what you proved lol. But if you meant hydro would get worse if the geo units became hydro instead, yes but think about why they would they be bad. Bc hydro already has better supoort kits than geo and bc crystallize sucks ass. You don't want geo application at all. Having less geo application is usually better. It's mainly the hydro reaction drivers that would get worse if they were geo. The reason hydro is better as it is rn is bc the roster consists mostly of support units that offer hydro application over damage. But when it comes to dps, hydro would actually get better Hydro would have some crazy dps units if you turned geo into hydro bc they now have access to reactions and VV. Imagine Navia nuking 10x as hard as Mualani lol. And Noelle and Itto being a better version of Ayato, and then you also have Xilonen, who can now buff every element except geo/anemo. And Chiori and Albedo would unironically be better as geo lol. Albedo in particular would be way better bc he can be either a forward vape trigger that gives EM to the whole team OR help maintain a hydro aura ob enemies. Rn Chiori>Albedo hands down, but if they had access to hydro reactions, having control over when you trigger the damage would actually make Albedo better than Chiori except in EC/bloom teams in which case timing wouldn't matter as long as hydro is applied. As for geo becoming worse if hydro units were swapped into geo. Again, most hydro kits rn focus on hydro application rather than actually doing anything else of note. On that note, hydro units don't really have good kits, they're being carried simply bc they're hydro. Objectively looking at hydro, if every character in the game did only physical damage, hydro would be far from the best element. Most hydros have weak af kits and high hydro application, and geo kits would easily be better in most cases Leaving out Nilou bc you'd have to convert her skill to doing damage with geo reactions to make her geo in the first place, let's talk about the rest of the units Kokomi and Barbara are basically unchanged too and I'm not gonna even talk about Sigewinne but again, if every character did white damage, Noelle is a better version of Kokomi now since she heals and shields and does more raw damage on field. Xilonen's kit is arguably one of the best kits in the game so I don't even need to compare, but Xilonen is also a better healer than those two now. Navia and Itto are better dpses than every other hydro/geo character except Neuvillette now. That's Ayato, Childe, Mualani Chiori does more off field damage than Yelan/Xingqiu making her better than them now that hydro application isn't in the picture. Furina still has her beat but Furina's the best support in the game lol. Yelan also has that ~25% damage buff for your active character on her burst, redeeming her a bit. Mona, honestly all she has going for her is that 60% damage bonus. C6 Gorou has her beat if the buff was for white damage. Candace is basically a sidegrade to Yunjin now that hydro application is off the table. Neuvillette would be fine bc he literally doesn't care about hydro reactions for damage + doesn't apply off field hydro. But the rest of the current hydro cast except Furina objectively has worse kits for damage than geo rn. They just have better hydro application going for them. And Furina wouldn't even change as geo, she'd be exactly as good as rn unless you needed hydro application bot, in which case again, that's my point.
@@justapasserbyrandomperson9325 That is a lot of text while i was indeed agreeing with you lol.. I was just pointing out that neuv (and yeah furina too i guess) would arguably be worse than the current geo roster if they were geo because their scalings are tuned for reactions lol
@darkdragonx650 Oh, I misunderstood you, my bad. But yeah, characters that are intended to trigger reactions rather than deal the damage themselves are definitely way worse as geo lol
9:41 just use sub dps ganyu. I've had ganyu since her first banner and obly a coyple of times have I used her main dps. She works great a a general cryo support in place of rosaria and kaeya. I generally use her with neuvillete for easy freeze comfort
At this point, they just need to rework Crystalise and ideally make constructs do something at base, like all constructions have these properties as well
so about xilonen. she doesn't shield unless crystalize. doesn't look like she has off field geo. she won't heal in mono geo unless u get her c6. yeah i guess that does remind me of zhongli's c6... she does give inturpt resist but with no shield. she scales of off DEF but she does no buff DEF like gorou. so i wouldn't exactly call her 5 star gorou but she is a buffer though...just in another way
i am c6 mono geo itto main......! i will be c4 r1 xilonen just to work with itto im so hyped my c6 itto could potentially do 170k per charge attack only for the first 6 hits that is crit. also cryo and physically also has it bad too. i know these are some sussy leaks...xilonen c2 allows her to buff to work in mono geo off field. her c4 gives normal and charge attack atk 65% of xilonen DEF i am so running triple DEF meaning her burst will not crit or heal. and against enemies like slimes or elemental shields or enemy touch the rain. i can crystalize them...that is the only way to proc the scroll set in a mono team. And with signature weapon r1 i get a total of 115.6% elemental bonus dmg and 45% geo res (talent level 13) not only that... i can get gorou to burst to boost xilonen C4 even further... yeah the c4 passive is kinda bad where it only last for 6 hits and only good for boss fights. i don't think people have noticed how big her C4 can be...since they probably run ER, DEF, Crit/Healing bonus or have gorou burst buffing it. once xilonen weapon get into a good banner i'll R5 the thing. also i predict my noelle each swing will hit 100k+ with xilonen, yunjin, and gorou. I know i could probably replace yunjin or gorou for furina but i am a mono element main. i play mono hydro with furina and neuvillette too :U no annemo character because that is mono meaning 1...i instead rely enemies to have elemental aura applied to them for my maulani to use scroll set the pain :l also i used to be cryo main but uhmmm i got disappointed and switched to mono hydro. isn't cool that you have one super charged one elemental team? yeah im not a fan of rainbow teams
If you were a Chongyun main in early genshin then you were a different breed. I keep seeing comments saying Cryo is currently the worst and honestly I don’t think that’s true. Yes, currently the game isn’t favoring cryo but it terms of character capabilities and a defined role to shine in, cryo has had that in spades while geo characters struggle to find a reason to be picked more often than not.
I think they could introduce characters from other elements that buff defense and have off field application in order to have both crystalline and buff the monk geo core. I think they could also include characters that deal damage through crystallize, maybe a EM geo scaler that deals both geo damage and damage from the crystallized element based on EM. There are options, imagination is the limit. I think they really f*cked up with Xilonen. There was no reason to maker her not work and heal in mono geo.
Geo shields always absorbed all elements, just Geo was absorbed at a 250%(not 200%), while all other elements were just the base 100% (the health of the shield). After the buff, Geo shields absorbed everything at a 150%(not 100%). Zhonglis shield gave a universal res shred of 20% not 25%. Also the shield always gained shield strength when attacked(up to 25%), this wasn't added with the buff it's been apart of his kit since release.
As a Navia main, I find geo to be well done. It has a weak reaction, but the shielding alone makes up for it. The dmg might not be as massive as the others, but it gets me through all my challenges.
Also chiori cant stand on her own where as albedo can and he can stay off field while having wider range, more dmg activation, and can drop it at any time where as chiori has a long wait time and doesn't always activate. Also physical is another element without an element and THAT was forgotten
Or they could give Geo some new reactions. Hydro and Geo to blind enemies for a few seconds. Geo and Pyro to burn enemies so their atk or def drops. Geo and Dendro to make seeds grow so you can recover hp. Just a few ideas.
I wonder how the perception of geo and anemo would be if they swapped sets. Like, instead of VV for anemo, its for geo, and vice versa for Archaic Petra.
Geo should have had a reaction with dendro, I mean it's earth/rock and grass/plant - missed opportunity. Nonetheless, "Resonance" and "Petrification" should be things that belong inherently to the the Geo element, and not just Zhongli's kit.
No they put plant and electro that doesn't make any sense for them to react. Geo could make dendro grow some plants or thorns on enemies which would make sense.
why cant they make geo reactions like react with anemo? you can make it so it like a devastating tornado as some displace houses then it should be able to displace rocks which could cause like maybe def shred as your displacing enemies idk. also a dendro + geo makes so much sense and could be something like Overgrowth but taht could be like a dendro+geo+hydro reaction as plants can grow on rocks.
Even before xilonen geo has never been so strong with chiori navia and zhongli being one of the most flexible units in the game idk what you're on about brother
great video and good luck on the channel !! it would be really nice if you could make a similar video but about cryo this time, if i remember correctly cryo was in a really good spot during the inazuma patches but when sumeru came they were starting to add more bosses in the abyss so freeze teams became much worse then wiro came but still you could make a much more stronger teams .
I benched Itto for Kuki after the 3.7 abyss when i couldn't 36 star abd never looked back. Garbage character that i invested so much in. I just end up hating all my 5 star pulls in the end, given enough time.
Remember when Electro was the worst element in the game? Yeah, couple of years ago, before dendro release. I enjoyed playing with Geo though ( also with pyro), it ignores elemental reactions and hammers on mobs.
let's be honest, geo isn't the worst element, that title goes to physical that being said, as a geo main, specifically an Albedo main, i want them to make more characters for geo that buff and heal. the fact that Xilonen buffs everything b u t mono geo, though i don't play monogeo often unless with Noelle, is just painful- i hope they can give geo more than what they have-
Nah, even phyisical is much better than electro. Electro is the worst one in term on meta and charater kit, also the worst part is no electro char that actually broken/versatile yet still f2p friendly. Raiden? C2 + sign weap required, yae? C1 + sign weap required too, cyno?as same as yae but much worse, clorinde? MID and just another disappointment of electro, keqing? Such a hopeless one
@nadhif_nasrul eh, I play Cyno on my account, and Clorinde and Raiden on a friend's acc, as well as Kuki in both. Not to mention I used to be an avid Razor main and still use him occasionally for both phys and even sometimes electro dmg. As an element on its own I'd have to agree, but dendro gave it the boost it needed, where geo and especially physical can't and won't get that same boost without another major change to the gameplay
This video ignores that crystalize can be buffed, Navia and Kachina are an example. Also Noelle was buffed inmensly with Furina, and now more with Xilonen.
I look at Geo and see characters that have their own niche and are acceptable and useful in the right circumstances. I look at Cryo characters and see that more than half are just not good options even for teams that are supposed to work with them. Chongyun is a gimmick character that's not really good, Mika kinda sucks at his intended role, People liked Ganyu but I find that she's a pain to play, Layla shield is really good but I would rather be using zhongli pretty much every time, both Freminet and Eula are unfortunately not very good in general. Cryo is just not that useful either in terms reactions it provides. Granted I am a Geo collector that has learned how to appreciate all the Geo cast but in comparison Geo in my opinion only has two characters that are not very good, those being Albedo and Ning, though I still like to use my Albedo Chiori combo in certain content.
You forgot to mention how bad the Archaic Petra is😭 It might seem small, but because Geo never had an artifact set that helped the team it never stood out. If it wasn’t for VV, Anemo wouldn’t be good🙂↔️
Yeah but I've been using noelle goru yin jin and furina with mostly f2p weapons and i was consistently 36 staring the abyss throughout fontaine and navia still working wonders in a noelle furina yelan team so i suggest retitling the video to itto main crying about being power creepyed by a 1.0 free 4 star character because let's face it ever since furina was released noelle could do everything itto did and being way better at it she could shield while he needs a shield teammate since he is the only character that get his RES debuffed when going into his burst and said burst will always end when swapping off of him so he can't help out navia unlike Noelle's burst that would stay active even when you swap to navia and it 100% heals at C1 and for every enemy defeated it gets it's duration extended not and it has 100% up time anyway if you have enough energy only choir appreciate itto's skill but she would take away from his screen time because she is a sup DPS that is ment to help navia trigger more crystalize and both characters work good enough with Noelle anyway because you gonna be have her burst active on swap to make up for the extra geo application And again noelle/furina and too flex slots is enough to make any team fun i played it with raiden for consistent bursting yelan for extra damage and hydro res zhongli if you want to play on baby mode Layla or ganyu to trigger freeze and shatter with noelle or you could even but a dendro character and electro character for the some hyber blooms it may not be the most meta team but it sure is the most fun that can 36 abyss
I wouldnt say geo is the worst its strength is do not disturb dendro reactions and if u hsve the richt o o geo tesm it still is verry strong I say worst is cryo as it applies an element but also has no reaction with dendro I would have loved an reaction thst ibwould csll cryostste where the enemy gets an 50% speed debuff wich also can effect enemies that usualy wond be effectet by freeze maybe only gor 25% but still Then cryo would be just as stro g as the other enemies I also would find a dendro swirl verry strong thst u could csll pollonate but tve anemo stays anemo but if u hit an enemie effectet by dendro with an anemo it spreads to near by enemies u then chould try to swirl pyro (or cryo as in my sugestion) do apply rhe element to everyone and give tvem burgend or my sugestet cryostste but no they didnt ade any gsme mechsnics in this direction and this effects cryo the most
As someone who really wants Itto and Gorou, MHY just needs to bite the bullet and actually give Geo reactions. Why did it get LITERALLY NOTHING WITH DENDRO. Come on, you guys couldn't think of ANYTHING when mixing plants and earth? Here you go: Overgrowth. The enemy gets covered in thorny vines, causing them to take damage over time and increasing the damage of all Geo and Dendro attacks upon the afflicted enemy. Boom, a reaction with the meta Dendro that helps Geo's damage problems by boosting its own damage while also letting Dendro DPS have fun.
The worst is Cryo no cap. In fact I became Geo main accidentally since Navia + Chiori haver. Well the devs made Xilonen as they initially intended with their vision of archaic Petra : near universal buff.
Navia and xilonen are carrying hard. I'd say cryo is definitely the worst, but at least we know the cryo archon will most likely make it relevant again
It seems a little silly to call anemo a top 2 element in the game when it is mostly just kazuha that makes it good and everyone else is goodish to okay especially post xilonen. As a whole it is much more middle of the road.
Saying Geo doesn't have an identity because it focuses both on support and DPS roles just shows little research. Anemo has it too, support and DPS. Every element has characters who play supports and characters who do damage, so why can't Geo have that too? Monogeo is something related to Gorou and Gorou only, Itto being played in Monogeo mattered only for his ER issues but his current best team only has Chiori as the other Geo character. I'm sorry, I find it quite funny saying Geo is falling again when they just released one of the most broken supports ever made in Genshin Impact (Xilonen), and the last two Geo characters were Navia and Chiori, which are far way from being "mid", despite what the main community says. Criticizing Geo because of its "restrictions" but giving a pass to other elements that have more or less the same problem is... quite biased! Geo has never been in such a good spot as the one it is right now. The worst element is Cryo and specifically Ayaka, right now. Geo is doing just fine.
Hhmmm really anemo as the best element right now? I mean yeah kazuha and Xianyun are good but I feel anemo has fallen quite a bit from its easily the best element in the game days of around 2.0... if you asked me to rank the elements right now it'd go; hydro, dendro, electro, pyro, anemo, cryo, geo and then physical last if you count it. But thats just my opinion. Though 2nd to 5th is all somewhat close
I LOVE ITTO!!!!
I HATE ITTO!!!!
Goofiest 5 star
Max mittleman is the goat!!!!
His VA
SAME! Got that boy c6! I will remain faithful to Geo until the servers crash and burn!
Yes and no. somehow, i think Hoyo still needs to improve the base design of Crystallize in order to fix Geo:
- auto absorb shards
- crystallize shields stackable
- crystallize shield strength based on the combined Defense stats of the team
- when Crystallize shields break, they should explode a small AoE.
SHATTER IS THE WORST REACTION IN GAME!!!
the best dps is still Ayaka even after so long after her release, the other elements all had a better unit being released in Sumeru + Fontaine cycles
also Shenhe the cyro savior is nowhere to be seen, they dont want to rerun her anytime soon
the only thing saving Cyro right now is melt (mostly melt burn, the only newer strat involving cyro)
@@San-cb9mj exactly 💯 couldn't say it better they are prob saving it for sneznhya release
Just saying, electro on the other hand was buffed in Sumeru instead of Inazuma
Faruzan was released during Sumeru, way after Mondstadt. So what's the point?
@@thanatoswing she buffs anemo characters, but she doesn't buff anemo as an element. Gorou didn't suddenly make geo good. One good character of an element doesn't make the entire element good.
As a cryo main, I’d say cryo is in a worse state
You guys have xiangl- i mean melt
Cryo will improve when Snezhnaya arrives.
whereas Geo… when will Liyue be introduced in the game?
Navia makes this video irrelevant unfortunately. I won't accept any bad talk about Geo when my queen is there
Hes still right.
You will accept it. It’s true and that’s the way it is. Geo the element sucks.
Noelle seems to be missing because her new friend Furina are laughing all the way to the dps bank
Geo is the worst element, but even the worst units in genshin can 36 star.
Imo, that's a good thing, but maybe if we beg mihoyo geo will get a buff
Hotrock cope
Is she good bc she's geo or despite it?
I had the misfortune of remembering the cringe time where Tectone called Ito "Arateccy"
All tectone moments are cringe
For a while? geo is bad. Always has been for 4 years now. I don’t think 4 years can be considered for a while anymore.
But i believe crystallize is Geo’s gateway to improve itself if:
- shards are auto-absorbable at base level;
- Crystallize shields stack
- Crystallize shield strength isn’t based on EM, and instead it should be based on the team’s overall Defense stat.
As for Geo constructs, their clunk needs to be fixed:
- when Geo constructs break, their geo shell breaks, but they would leave a geo construct phantom that can’t be destroyed (just like oz, yuegue or guoba) and they will finish their duration (just like all other summons).
@@skyhart9926 I like these much better than other ideas that I've seen that don't fit in the game features, though I doubt crystallizewill scale off team EM, but if it becomes stackable then it should be able to overcome it
Although it's not a focus of the game I think that crystallize could have great application in keeping your ellies alive in coop, and enough stacking can make the crystallize become geo for much better shielding
character shields will still be good by virtue of not needing constant geo damage, but geo crystallize can solo make you tanky/make up for if your shield breaks
early on in the game's life i honestly thought Geo was a little redundant, albeit very strong (mind you i main Noelle of all characters)
shield on skill & burst but also shield on reaction? strong? yes. but a bit overkill? also yes
i was honestly kinda just waiting for a geo version parralel to anemo's viri set.. which we never really quite got even still
xilonen is extremely good, cryo is the worst element. I also disagree about anemo being the best element, yeah vv is insanely good but newer meta teams are not that tied to vv, imo currently the list goes like this:
1. Hydro
2. Dendro
3. Anemo
4. Electro
5. Pyro
6. Geo
7. Cryo
Some people say Cryo is now the worst. But I don’t think. Cryo still has access to amazing elemental reactions. I still think Geo is at the bottom of all elements. The core design of Geo is either boring, stagnant or bad:
@@josephusaquila So many good points here; I think that rather than Genshi being a game about elemental reactions, its instead a game about elemental interactions and classes
the elements range on a spectrum from being super reliant (dendro) to hardly reliant (geo) on reactions
elements that tend to be supportive, offensive, and even subverting the tropes sometime
the elemental system is mean to facilitate fun team building and offer many playstyle options; you can clear content regardless, but how they feel will be different
- auto-absorb shards
- crystallize shields stack
- shield strength based on character with highest defense
these are all excellent suggestions.
i would like to add:
- once crystallize shield breaks, it explodes in a tiny AoE and enemies hit within AoE will be applied the PHEC element of the shard. this way, crystallize can be used to spread elements and chain some reactions just like anemo does. Swirl spreads elements in a frontloaded way, while Crystallize could spread elements in a backloaded way.
@@josephusaquila and those are exactly the issues of geo:
Good luck for your new channel 🎉🎉
imo geo needs more reasons to invest into, it’s unfortunate how itto’s mono geo team is essentially a worse version of xiao’s premium team as it currently stands.
Geo is my go to characters... skill issues with other reactions, that is okay, Unga Bunga time with Geo lol.
@@kale1287 re-read the comment all the information you are looking for is there. have a good day!
the em to shield strength ratio is practically useless tho, if it scaled off health or def maybe, but there is 0 point to building more em on a geo unit
In my opinion, they should have allowed archaic petra to buff all crystalized elements without picking up and even if crystalized shield broke, basically give it duration of buff and being refreshable, that would have made geo somewhat better
(it isn't bad though now)
devs either purposefully made crystalized bad with how it scales or they straight up messed it up from minute 0 and I don't even know how is that possible when there is whole team of developers and not just 1 or 2 person
I can gladly say this didn’t age well
Let's make Geo great again!
Geo has bad REACTIONS
There's a difference
If we took the current geo roster and made them cryo with no changes to their kit and swapped the cryo characters to be geo, geo would be absolute trash
Hell, if you took all of the hydro characters in the game and made them geo, they'd still only make geo barely above average
Geo is the worst element, it just has a couple good characters
Cryo is a fairly decent element (has access to melt), it just has bad kits
But when it comes to dps, hydro would actually get better
Hydro would have some crazy dps units if you turned geo into hydro bc they now have access to reactions and VV.
Most hydros have weak af kits and high hydro application, and geo kits would easily be better in most cases
Leaving out Nilou bc you'd have to convert her skill to doing damage with geo reactions to make her geo in the first place, let's talk about the rest of the units
Kokomi and Barbara are basically unchanged too and I'm not gonna even talk about Sigewinne but again, if every character did white damage, Noelle is a better version of Kokomi now since she heals and shields and does more raw damage on field.
Xilonen's kit is arguably one of the best kits in the game so I don't even need to compare, but Xilonen is also a better healer than those two now.
Navia and Itto are better dpses than every other hydro/geo character except Neuvillette now. That's Ayato, Childe, Mualani
Chiori does more off field damage than Yelan/Xingqiu making her better than them now that hydro application isn't in the picture.
As a navia Maine I dislike this video
And with signature weapon r1 i get a total of 115.6% elemental bonus dmg and 45% geo res (talent level 13)
not only that... i can get gorou to burst to boost xilonen C4 even further...
yeah the c4 passive is kinda bad where it only last for 6 hits and only good for boss fights.
i don't think people have noticed how big her C4 can be...since they probably run ER, DEF, Crit/Healing bonus or have gorou burst buffing it.
once xilonen weapon get into a good banner i'll R5 the thing.
also i predict my noelle each swing will hit 100k+ with xilonen, yunjin, and gorou. I know i could probably replace yunjin or gorou for furina but i am a mono element main.
i play mono hydro with furina and neuvillette too :U no annemo character because that is mono meaning 1...i instead rely enemies to have elemental aura applied to them for my maulani to use scroll set the pain :l
also i used to be cryo main but uhmmm i got disappointed and switched to mono hydro.
isn't cool that you have one super charged one elemental team? yeah im not a fan of rainbow teams
we need an EM scaling geo support that make "catalyzing" has finaly sense, we also need an Archaic Petra buff of a new artifact set that upgrade it.
Holy shit i didnt realized thaat this channel is this new
I think they could introduce characters from other elements that buff defense and have off field application in order to have both crystalline and buff the monk geo core.
If it still clears what are we even talking about at this point....
The wrost is cryo
Geo shields always absorbed all elements, just Geo was absorbed at a 250%(not 200%), while all other elements were just the base 100% (the health of the shield). After the buff, Geo shields absorbed everything at a 150%(not 100%).
Zhonglis shield gave a universal res shred of 20% not 25%. Also the shield always gained shield strength when attacked(up to 25%), this wasn't added with the buff it's been apart of his kit since release.
The DPS of 1.0 was Razor and we all know that
People thought it was Geo-ver.
But now its place in the meta is set in stone and will never erode away in the future.
mfers when they realize one good unit does not "save" the element
@@Mr_Leech_HGC Tell that to cryo. Geo in 5.1 is amazing in comparison
Also physical is another element without an element and THAT was forgotten
very great video! keep up the good work!
Thanks UA-cam for recommend me this. The quality of this video is *Chef's kiss* good lick on this channel!!
"Off course Geo fall. They are ROCK solid."
-Cyno. Probably
the only market Geo can tap is either Crystallize or Shield Destroyer (Genshin version of Ruan Mei)
Even before xilonen geo has never been so strong with chiori navia and zhongli being one of the most flexible units in the game idk what you're on about brother
Least f2p friendly element by far too.
Omg im blessed today to see ya return
tbh if they keep making geo characters like xilonen geo might actually get good
great video and good luck on the channel !!
it would be really nice if you could make a similar video but about cryo this time, if i remember correctly cryo was in a really good spot during the inazuma patches but when sumeru came they were starting to add more bosses in the abyss so freeze teams became much worse then wiro came but still you could make a much more stronger teams .
I already have that idea marked down in the Notebook
@@Mr_Leech_HGC
I really wish there were more resonance dmg dealers
100th sub, I think? Anyways, banger content, like always can't believe I found this by chance lol
geo is like physical dmg colored with yellow 😂
I benched Itto for Kuki after the 3.7 abyss when i couldn't 36 star abd never looked back. Garbage character that i invested so much in. I just end up hating all my 5 star pulls in the end, given enough time.
Remember when Electro was the worst element in the game? Yeah, couple of years ago, before dendro release. I enjoyed playing with Geo though ( also with pyro), it ignores elemental reactions and hammers on mobs.
the only geo i really love is Navia and Geodaddy, soon i will get Xilonen maybe
I can't wait for the cryo region to come out and the new gimmick is to giga-buff physical dmg, lmao!!! Great vid!
let's be honest, geo isn't the worst element, that title goes to physical
that being said, as a geo main, specifically an Albedo main, i want them to make more characters for geo that buff and heal. the fact that Xilonen buffs everything b u t mono geo, though i don't play monogeo often unless with Noelle, is just painful- i hope they can give geo more than what they have-
Nah, even phyisical is much better than electro.
GEO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! 💛💛💛💛
'Kachina is useless' me playing Furina Noelle Gorou .... yeah is she tho?
Good video. Why couldnt they just up geo damage scaling? Simple and easy
This video ignores that crystalize can be buffed, Navia and Kachina are an example. Also Noelle was buffed inmensly with Furina, and now more with Xilonen.
i just really like geo :) i have all geo characters except itto and my noelle team is still one of my strongest teams :)
If it wasn’t for VV, Anemo wouldn’t be good🙂↔️
Yeah its crazy how wrio the slay ended up being better than ayaka
I'd say Xilonen will bring it back but she doesn't even keep her heal on mono Geo-
Me with my mono geo noelle & furina 🗿🗿🗿
Yeah but I've been using noelle goru yin jin and furina with mostly f2p weapons and i was consistently 36 staring the abyss throughout fontaine and navia still working wonders in a noelle furina yelan team so i suggest retitling the video to itto main crying about being power creepyed by a 1.0 free 4 star character
because let's face it ever since furina was released noelle could do everything itto did and being way better at it she could shield while he needs a shield teammate since he is the only character that get his RES debuffed when going into his burst and said burst will always end when swapping off of him so he can't help out navia unlike Noelle's burst that would stay active even when you swap to navia and it 100% heals at C1 and for every enemy defeated it gets it's duration extended not and it has 100% up time anyway if you have enough energy only choir appreciate itto's skill but she would take away from his screen time because she is a sup DPS that is ment to help navia trigger more crystalize and both characters work good enough with Noelle anyway because you gonna be have her burst active on swap to make up for the extra geo application
And again noelle/furina and too flex slots is enough to make any team fun i played it with raiden for consistent bursting yelan for extra damage and hydro res zhongli if you want to play on baby mode Layla or ganyu to trigger freeze and shatter with noelle or you could even but a dendro character and electro character for the some hyber blooms it may not be the most meta team but it sure is the most fun that can 36 abyss
Lyney did not powercreep Ganyu lmao
cryo is right there
Say what you want I’m never dropping Noelle
I wouldnt say geo is the worst its strength is do not disturb dendro reactions and if u hsve the richt o o geo tesm it still is verry strong
I say worst is cryo as it applies an element but also has no reaction with dendro
I would have loved an reaction thst ibwould csll cryostste where the enemy gets an 50% speed debuff wich also can effect enemies that usualy wond be effectet by freeze maybe only gor 25% but still
Then cryo would be just as stro g as the other enemies
I also would find a dendro swirl verry strong thst u could csll pollonate but tve anemo stays anemo but if u hit an enemie effectet by dendro with an anemo it spreads to near by enemies u then chould try to swirl pyro (or cryo as in my sugestion) do apply rhe element to everyone and give tvem burgend or my sugestet cryostste but no they didnt ade any gsme mechsnics in this direction and this effects cryo the most
xilonen doesnt even work in mono geo as far as i can tell
As someone who really wants Itto and Gorou, MHY just needs to bite the bullet and actually give Geo reactions. Why did it get LITERALLY NOTHING WITH DENDRO. Come on, you guys couldn't think of ANYTHING when mixing plants and earth? Here you go: Overgrowth. The enemy gets covered in thorny vines, causing them to take damage over time and increasing the damage of all Geo and Dendro attacks upon the afflicted enemy. Boom, a reaction with the meta Dendro that helps Geo's damage problems by boosting its own damage while also letting Dendro DPS have fun.
they need to change geos reaktions to make it good agen
intruduce sand mosie rock wet rock and lava or so
No it's now Cyro.
The worst is Cryo no cap. In fact I became Geo main accidentally since Navia + Chiori haver.
Well the devs made Xilonen as they initially intended with their vision of archaic Petra : near universal buff.
Let's see how Xilo works
Xilonen and Zhongli are going to carry geo
Navia and xilonen are carrying hard. I'd say cryo is definitely the worst, but at least we know the cryo archon will most likely make it relevant again
It seems a little silly to call anemo a top 2 element in the game when it is mostly just kazuha that makes it good and everyone else is goodish to okay especially post xilonen. As a whole it is much more middle of the road.
is that the fear and hunger termina art style I see?
Indeed
I think the worst element rn is no longer geo... it cryo
Albedo doing 8k to 24k 💀 wtf kinda build were you using my albedo been doing 50k for years
I's your voice real
Not as bad as cryo… they fell off after shenhe
Geo is op
Hhmmm really anemo as the best element right now? I mean yeah kazuha and Xianyun are good but I feel anemo has fallen quite a bit from its easily the best element in the game days of around 2.0... if you asked me to rank the elements right now it'd go; hydro, dendro, electro, pyro, anemo, cryo, geo and then physical last if you count it. But thats just my opinion. Though 2nd to 5th is all somewhat close
Hydro is definitely the premium element
