    Great job on painting and fitting that copper Marty 🤗 the joy was evident when you ran that first car. You are making it look easy, and I think you're going to inspire others to give it a go . Super stuff 👌 😊

    Neat, Mary. I'd be best pleased with this. The only thing I have noticed from the recording mic is something of a drum resonating effect as the cars race around the oval. Maybe it's not so noticable in real life to the human ear? The answer may be to use a bit of felt padding between the base mdf and the wooden levelling supports - assuming that is you have not glued or nailed these down? It's nothing much and does not really detract from a great piece of work. Otherwise, these home ovals are definitely test tracks and this because of the consistency with individual laps. Correspondingly, this thing speaks to those minor car tweeks (i.e. where to put balancing weight and how much and what difference a faster motor/gear ratio makes) and this because the proof of the Thnaksgiving pudding will be found in those thousandth second aggregate 10 lap timings. This is opening up a whole new world for you and I am sure you will have lots of enquiry and fun 😀

      @twolinesslotcars  2 місяці тому +1

      I would blame most of it on the iPhone mic…😂 thanks Darren, it should be a lot of fun.. still more work to do but we are getting there!

    Matt, your woodworking craftsmanship looks top class. You did a nice job fixing a couple routing mistakes with Bondo. Durhams Water Putty, if it's still, available, would have also worked. I liked your low-tech idea for adding slight banking to the corners & straights. I think this oval will provide loads of hours of fun for you & your friends. I always found I needed to develop a different driving philosophy when racing on ovals & triovals than running on road courses. Things seem to happen faster & in more places on the ovals. You almost have to be alert for what's happening all over the ovals rather than just watching your car. But oval racing is fun! Do you have any future plans to add a lap counter to your oval?

    • @twolinesslotcars
      @twolinesslotcars  2 місяці тому

      Thanks Bill! Yes, I am working on the lap counting hardware now. I will be using Faslaps!

    Good job Marty. Looks great. If understand correctly you have positive polarity like is done on commercial tracks. What are you using for a power supply and how much volts and amps is it? Royce

    • @twolinesslotcars
      @twolinesslotcars  2 місяці тому

      I still need to order the power supply. We have a small bench supply to run the tire truer that I am using temporarily lol.
