- 3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, edited and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, co-written by Abhijat Joshi and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the titular roles, marking their reunion three years after Rang De Basanti (2006), while Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya appear in pivotal roles. Narrated through two parallel dramas, one in the present and the other set ten years in the past, the story follows the friendship of three students at an Indian engineering college and is a satire about the social pressures under the Indian education system.

I saw this movie when I was 16 yrs old and I loved it. My dad reminded me that real life does not work this way. Today Im 27 with a decent computer engineering job in USA. Im so happy that I listened to my dad. This is my experience from these 11 years. People like Chatur achieve a position among the board of directors of some huge company. People like Suhaas are not donkeys, they are the project managers having 100s of employees under them( I am one of these 100 employees). Farhan and Raju are those losers who did not achieve anything in life. Nobody will give them a job. The speech which Virus gave in the beginning, "Compete or die. Life is a race" it makes complete sense... And most important, Rancho is a fictional character who does not exist in real life.
People like Rancho exist in the world, they first understand the concept and then memorise the thing and nowadays every good student do this 😇😇
But if you only ratta maar your topics and write in exams then you may pass the exams but can't apply it in exam.... As they say in movie yhat bina samjhe ratta maaroge to college to survive kar loge but then aap usse apply nhi kar paoge
You are a engineer so you may know well.... Aapne ratta maar ke to nhi padha hoga na like chatur like he just read the speech without even knowing or trying to know the meaning of that....concepts samajhke padha hoga as they say about rancho......
And rahi baat raju and farhan ki jo ki represent karte hai un students ko kinse engineering nhi hoti ya nhi karna chahte hai..... Jaise farhan doesn't wanted to be engineer became a wild life photographer.... So their are many real life examples of iit dropouts who are doing very well in their lives.... And they might be looser in engineering college but winner in real life ....& also many engineer employees working for them in their businesses.
You might have met people like suhas and chatur in real life but if they reach their by just mugging up with out understanding the subject.....
As chatur gave the definition of machine.... But can he explain all the students even children with those engineering book definition... Those bookish gyan is also necessary to understand but building up of concepts are also important... & that occur when you really grab the topic before mugging it up
