That was one of my gripes about the game back in late legacy and I should really do the same. It's unrealistic and most of all BORING.
I remember when people, including me, complained about the devs constantly adding new creatures. The game was so dull if you weren't being a pure koser. I think the base gameplay has improved considerably (more and improved mechanics, dynamic weather, event mini games, slightly better region quests, making the map almost as interesting as legacy was) but once again I'm finding myself thinking they should continue improving what they already have.
Waiting for creatures to grow sucks and once they do there's not much to do other than kos. I'd rather be part of an ecosystem than a monster brawler.
Why is the creature flavour text even there?
I stopped playing months ago, it seemed like things were worsening from my POV back then. It looks like i'm proven right.
I used to play this game a lot but now I kinda stopped because of how boring it is. Aside from trading or getting new creatures there nothing to do. Like I explored every inch of the map 20 times over and the game is extremely boring.

@@TheBestEeltechnically, Lucensia is a flier, which means it’s lighter, because, y’know, it can’t weigh a ton and still be able to fly. Even the stronger T5 fliers are still quite weak.

my solution is that the devs just give everyone back there daily login streaks and give them idk the amount of daily tokens they had equaling to there old daily login streak, for example if i had a 100 streak before this update and after they should give the person with the 100 login streak (example) 100 login tokens.

Yep, i had a 80+ day streak, and then, i got only one point. Also, it resetted to 15 streak, and still i only got one point, wth.
Similar to me I had nearly a 30-day streak and it got reduced to 12 man. I was so close to getting felliso But now it's going to take me a whole month again
My biggest pet peeve with CoS creatures right now is the speed. Take the werewolf one for example, which with a rather lean build and powerful-looking limbs, you'd think it would be fast but its not. Now with some extremely large ones, I see being super slow as they need to carry their own weight. But there's a lot of slowness in some more medium-sized creatures where it feels like you have to slow down time around them or turn the air into space for it to justify their nearly running-in-place speed. I wouldn't mean being a bit weaker if it means the speed is more accurate because that alone effects combat.
I'm also wondering why they're starting to do a lot more "insert irl creature + extra feature" designs lately when making designs that were obviously recognizable as an irl animal was something that used to be against the design rules for creators

The speed issue is a huge problem yeah, there's a lot of creatures who's base desctiption talks about how they're not heavy hitters but they move really fast to make up for it, only for those creatures to move just as slow as others in their teir if not slower. The Jhiggo Jangl for example talks about how its a fast moving creature and it looks like it should move fast, but it feels so slow and clunky once it reaches adult age.
And they've been slowly twisting the rules for a while now, my friend who's been playing since practically the beginning (back when there were no food spawns and being around diffrent spices would stack discomfort points on you) they originally had a rule where all the creatures had to be natural, no mechanical stuff whatsoever unless it was like magic rocks or something, then they changed it which gave us a bunch of mecha creatures and a redesign of the Ghibli into a jet fighter thing.
It,s crazy to me that people are now realizing how shit that studio got over time, they're so fucking greedy

I stoped playing years ago, noticed how selfish the company was a long time ago, the servers are all bad anyone. All kos server i somehow end up joining
ikr I've moved on from cos like last year and has been kind of addicted to horse life (isn't as grindy plus HOrSES, new updates are terrible but its sonar) but the company's efforts into anything unless its a good change just gets utter dissapointment out of me. I know horse life more so I'm gonna elaborate on that game as a projection to company decisions. What bugs me is trading + auctions in HL. Auctions are so bad in terms to ppl who are at least trying to make SOME money. All that sells are meta horse patterns (bloody gargs glow gargs etc tec) so its either try countless times to sell your horse or minus 10 times the profit and let at least 600 coins/ 20 minutes/ at least 8 hrs of grinding go down the drain because breeding takes so much time.
There are so many ways to make this better. For example, just let even new players come into market realm before discouraging them because "oh you need to unlock the bihorse quest to get into market but good luck cuz the quest is grindy as fuck" since ppl who then gets into market just aims for the good horses, no chances for others whatsoever. THats just one of the multiple complaints or little icks i have about the game much less the company.

Unpopular Opinion: I REALLY liked the Lss Event, Grindy Yes, but I was able to Actually Follow it, more enjoyable than the easter one, I struggle with events with how scattered out and elaborate the quests could be
Honestly I can understand both sides to this... interesting conflict:
New daily login, the hassle, the 45 days... for a griffin-cat? So... What're pros and cons here?
Pros: one easy way for you to gain tokens you NEED, instead of praying to the holy Jesus himself if you need a revive, and you get the opposite, or a max growth. Just slap in 3 days, and you can go back to terrorizing the servers with a creature you accidentally got killed, instead of spending tokens or recycling creatures-
Cons: Very understandable if you've had around a 90+ day streak and you're back to square one, OR if you were close to getting a Felissio and ultimately got sent back. Plus, like FluffyTSG spoken his video about, the new creature not very worth it (PvP-wise).
The new creature's animations are a whole new evolution; idle animations, more detailed expressions- possibly something that'll continue? However, not many people are happy with the stats itself... I can relate.
Like FluffyTSG ALSO said- maybe give the players (when they log in each day) the option for a REWARD or a POINT. I 'unno, but I do feel that idea would help.

With the old system, taking the LOWEST common denominator (lowest reward) for all 4 weeks up until Fellisio, in the new system would be worth 108 tokens. Instead of getting the CHEAPEST reward for 28 days, you now have to log in for 108. An 80 day increase...
Tossing in the highest rewards we can get the range of tokens you USED to be able to get every 28 days; 108-155. You used to be able to get 108-155 worth of rewards in 28 days. Now, it takes a third of a year to get what you used to be able to get in a month.
Amazing.

The inflation has been around for a long time in this game, though people still want to support it and play it. That is on them honestly.

I agree that legacy was better as well. I remember playing the first year it came out and being excited for a creature survival game, only for it to turn into a grindy collection game. (I do like grindy games but CoS sucks at making it enjoyable, especially when it feels like people with money get a free pass).
I like the idea of having double choice being able to pick on what daily login you would like, I feel so bad for all those ppl that was so close to getting the felliso tbh the devs should at least give those ppl the option to swap bk to the old login rewards if they wish so they can claim it. But your idea works well giving us choice is way better 😊

Admittedly, I'm not a big player of the game; only rarely do I get online and that's only ever with friends, which is about a few times a year?
But as someone who has been delving into animation, (aside from the skills), they put a lot of work into the Galiryn that I noticed.
Mind you, maybe for the broader audience, you can't quite notice it, as the majority is consistent of small details rather than large ones; but it helps to make the creature feel more alive.
-There's idle movement in the eyes
-The ears bend and flow in the air as well upon landing, and idle movement
-Mane has more movement- not as an entirety but in their own separate sections,
-Improved flying and gliding animations
- Life-like characteristics in reactions (3:50 if you see the tiny little stomp in the front legs and back- it's not copy paste like the other anims)
- Rotational flow when flying feels more life-like
It's a lot more clear and fluid, so is the model. Is it as huge as the other models/creatures they've shown? no.
But from a design and animation standpoint, I think it's beautiful-- but it fails to standout in a game heavily saturated in creatures that try to stand out in their own unique traits, ability to survive, PVP, and key aesthetics.
I think I'm interested to see if they plan to provide this same amount of animated fluidity to the rest of their creatures or if it's only specific ones that their animators/designers work on.

Actually. Most, if not all, of the limited creatures are hard to get without paying. If you don’t have money, you probably have to spend an ungodly amount of time to get an event creature. And most people don’t have an ungodly amount of time to spend on a silly little game
I honestly don't know my streak, I didn't keep track, but I held it straight for 3 or 4 months. And I was like a week away

my moment of thought is simple and I feel that it should be something that at least a large part of this community should think about: The majority, and I repeat, MOST of the Updates of this game are a Greek gift, it may have cool creatures but be sure that either it will be a pain to achieve, and still have an 80% chance of being horrible and not worth 1% of the time spent.
Also fun fact, you can make money of this, 1,000-(depends on how many alts you use) mush a week, buy max growth tokens and sell them for 500, by the time the creature is done with its 45 day date and people have the spec you can just buy it and look for people that are just overpaying a ton
If I can be honest I've loved galiryn so much, not for it's stats or because I liked the new daily login, it was simply because it's so expressive.. like for what I know only aueko could blink and the eyes could move, I've never seen/noticed this on other creatures so having another creature like this just feels nice
It's really crazy to think that we're going to have to wait more than a month to find out the real value of a creature just because no one has its species yet
I think the log in streak should be exactly like the other game they have, (dragon adventures) once you get to the end you can pick wich one you want.
In my opinion it destroys a lot of other things too. You can already naturally get the limited Gacha by our old system, but you have to wait to get it, but now people can just manually buy it whenever they want to. It feels less special to be allowed to buy what’s supposedly “limited” any given moment. Maybe that’s just me, I don’t know, but it still makes the gachas you can buy from there seem a lot more insignificant. And tbh, I think felliso has better stats than the new creature in my opinion, which is sort of disappointing because you have to wait longer for the newer creature. I don’t want them to make felliso less powerful, but simply give the new creature better stats or a redesign in the near future. Because I’m pretty sure the community won’t be forgetting it for a long while after what’s happened. But, on the bright side, the new system does offer a lot of opportunities, specifically for those who spend a lot of time playing the game and want to grow their inventory. Though I find it hard to believe anyone could have 100% of the creatures as updates like this are nearly monthly now. (Not that it’s practically a bad thing, since that also means bug fixes and the occasional redesigns.) With all this potential, I can see the prices of tokens such as: revive, max growth, appearance token, etc, going down by a lot. Which may be for the better or worst in some cases, but it offers a lot of new things and ideas to think about.
Now it shows me that I have a 212 streak but for God's sake I remember that I had about 300 or more and it hurts so much
I think this is an amazing way to help the problem, I saw somewhere else that they thought of splitting the streak you have now in half and basically taking that and making it the amount of daily login points you had (from when they updated it) I have two gali storeds, one is glimmer, one is bewitched and I can tell you that I HATE spending 250 just to restart it each time it dies.
Not only how expensive this cat gryphon is an issue, but now prices for growth tokens are going down. It's good for avarage players, but those who sell them will have more trouble than before on setting prices.

When this update came out, I was bummed I couldn't play it. My laptop was acting up and wifi. Now that I've comed back (to the fandom, not the game), and seen the numerous complaints about the new login system, Im glad my laptop and wifi wouldnt let me join back in, lmao.

That, and learning points in the lss event you have leftover are just gone with no compensation or something like shrooms equal to the points had, even if you spent robux (i got what i wanted but had some leftover to buy a plush or something) and recently accidentally died in a flood and lost all my death points, reaaaaaally soured my view on the game and made me less motivated to play and support it

I agree and i honestly wish they kept the same daily loggin system and have garlin at like day 14 or 15 and push felliso to day 30 mostly bc even if the new creature has good animations it isnt as good as felliso?? Or maybe push the felliso back to day 15 and mive garlin to day 30. either would have been a better decision

My solution idea is u only having to have 28 points like the Fellisio was before the update, and the Fellisio being only 15 points
This update also will destroy max growth tokens and revive token prices. As you can now make alot of Alt accounts and get like 20 growth tokens in 2 days.
It’s just not worst that when they removed shroom from daily reward
I feel like the whole Less rewards per login thing (eg. 2 revs & 1 random per week rather than 7 things) could be fixed if when you spent your points in the shop you also got everything that is listed before it. That way in the end you would still get lots of tokens for loggin in for prolongued periods of time but also get to be selective with what you cash in your points on like how the update is intended. If that made sence lol.

Okay so for me I don’t mind the update. For 1 I play the game for fun and I am on literally every day so the points aren’t an issue for me. 2 I really like the creature so as long as I eventually get it I really do not mind. 3 I had a 49 day streak so it doesn’t really matter to me (I’ve had far longer). 4 I don’t mind that the creature is ‘weak’ because I tend to enjoy those types of creatures. 5 as an indie game developer I know how hard it is to please everyone with an update which just isn’t possible, so I end up creating updates I as a player would enjoy. Either way I know thta this’ll eventually blow over as every complaint usually does when there is another ‘horrible’ update.
I honestly thought that they were going to keep the login display/system the same but at the end there’s a chance to get the Fellisio or Galiryn, similar to how there were chances to get different tokens and Gachas per login.
Was supposed to get a fellisio when the update came out, only good thing this update brought is being able to get the sweet gacha through it
My fix idea is to give streaks more of a meaning. You get one point every day of the first week. The next week you get two points and so on. Maybe to a maximum of 3-5 points. When the streak breaks, you go back to one point a day.
yeah i've kinda given up on doing events all together in CoS, since i always end up with only 1-2 quests away from getting the event creatures......

I LOVE THIS CREATURE (though I thought it was bigger)
I dont have the time to possibly complete missions to obtain the creature, so just logging in is really easy to me
So I see this as an absolute win....kinda.
those log ins was how i got so many revives and growth tokens, plus they easily coulda mad this system work like u said, make the creatures worth points but keep the login daily rewards. heck they coulda made u receive points every other day along with the dailies

Yknow what is even worse about this? The community creature they are planning to release ( the giant snake centipede) is going to be a daily login, imagine how much it will cost and how agonizingly long it will take to get it if you havent been keeping logging in for points.
I feel like they could at least make it abit better like, you get an increase in points depending on how long you have kept the streak.

at 5:44 you did only have half stam so its probably best to try use rage with full stam IF u wanna be able to fly away
also i wish that u get the amount of points depending on how many days you play- 1 - 4 = 1 point each 5 - 9 = 5 points each 10 - 20 = 10 points each for example- (unless it DOES work like that- i haven't gotten up to day 2 yet cos i don't play CoS much)

I was one day away from the feliso and i have a full time job so sometimes keeping my streak is hard! Also those 66 aereis howww??!!??
I think theres little bit of a different way id fix it
Its supposed to be a system where you “choose” so id keep the shop but depending on the day - so it would work like a calendar basically theres 22 items in the shop 2 who are creatures
Id basically go left to right so like day 1 is ‘random creature token’ what costs 1 so give 1 point sure but then going on from that day 5 is appearance change token what is 2 so gife 2 for that day and so on - that way its easier to save up points and get what you want and if someone wants they can get 1 thing every day but if someone wants idk as much revive tokes as possible they can just spam that as much as they like - im just hoping itll work like that but if not then yea.. like it would stack up but id rather have that then wait a month and a half for a new creature who honestly isnt even as great.. like quality wise even feli is better..
5:56 umbridled rage tales away half ur stamina. So using it when u only have half ur stam is a bad idea
I believe the update is pretty bad, except... The new creature, instead of being strong, it's fun to survive as, which is the whole concept of cos, thats probably why it's for login rewards.
Personally, I don’t really mind the update, it could well be worse and the ability to buy Gachas with an alternative currency is pretty nice in my eyes

In my opinion its ok atleast now u can get the reward u want for exaple theres a good creatures in limited u wanna get u can buy it
They should make it so you get a point and the daily reward. Make a seperate shop for the points so you cant get the new creature just from logging in so theres an incentive to actually have points
