Beautiful. That character was also so important to me, when I was a kid I remeber TNT channel anouncing and transmiting this movie a lot; It was so inspirational seen a Man like David, Bruce Willis did a phenomenal job.
Absolutely and very well said . Excellent comment 🙏🤗 It was his approach to being human that made him super , his courage and strength were true inside . One of my all time fav hero movies with both feeling and heart .Love it . Stunning soundtrack also , just incredible !!
Mr Glass: smashed/broken The Horde: Cracked/Split The Overseer: Unbreakable I like to imagine it as the three states glass can be in, Smashed or broken, Split or cracked, Unbroken.
Despite Bruce's age and ailments, he remains one of my favorite actors with a special level of respect from me. Many of the films that shaped my character have starred him and his acting genius is evident in them. I have nothing but respect and gratitude that I was able to experience his artistry. Thank you, Mr. Willis! Now just find some time to relax with the family! F*ck them other movies, you've done more than enough for us! Find your peace and enjoy the family comfort. Sincerel yours: a fan.
Stopping in to remind folks in 22’ that this score is, easily, in the top 3 “superhero” themes ever made. By far, at 11:18 is the most inspirational few seconds of anything I’ve ever heard. Oh, and the movie was good too. ✌️
You will see that 11:18 harks back very clearly to the music of great (mostly Roman, mostly religious) Epics of the 1950s and 1960s. That is clear to me, but I am not sure why this reference is needed in the movie. Of course, I adore the work of JNH, which is always genius and always beautiful and moving ("Wyatt Earp" is tremendous form this point of view). But it fascinates me that - quite rightly so, given the context - his music for "Signs" goes one transcending step further, thanks be to the Holy Spirit. That music carries God's measage in it for us in the world, just as the film carries God's message for its characters. That is special, as the music from "Signs" also has those strong scary elements. "Unbreakable" is somewhere in between along this continuum, and it does seem to have a measure of divinity. So is there a deeper message in the movie? Pity is underrated in our world, but pity is beautiful. And is Glass pitiable? Surely. But he cannot have any reward for using evil to discover a powerful force for good in the world. Love and truth beget love and truth too ... with a lower body count!
I can't be the only one wanting a comic adaptation of this world and its heroes. Perhaps the comics can empathize the stories more, with theatricality. As in this world, comics are reimaginations of the trueness of real heroes, as exemplified archetypes of those people.
An excellent underrated movie. David Dunn was such a great character, not only unbreakable but also able to know the secret of people just touching them. I enjoyed the surprise appearance of the music theme and David himself at the end of "Split", but hated the way he was treated (and killed) in "Glass". He derserved much better. He deserved respect.
We will never know if David survived somehow.....crushed me to hear 'bout bruce willis .....anyway, best super hero trilogie of all time....guided me through tough times and started with the first one when i was like 10......hope somehow it goes on
Nah bucko, thinking like that is how the Secret Society of the clubs thinks. Folks who think order should be maintained by back-stabbing heroes, who don't acknowledge the humanity in the Beast, but kinda miscalculated the brilliance of mr Glass in their arrogance. ;)
While I wish these themes showed up more in “Glass”, I WAS happy to hear them again. The main theme, Carrying Audrey, and Mr. Glass’ theme were all used and it was nice hearing them at all
an interesting thing about osteogenesis imperfecta, is not only the brittle bone disease, made by bones developing not the right amount of protein, making the bones very easy to break. There's another version where it makes too much protein and does the opposite, which is what could have happened to David, making his bones basically unbreakable, and thus ultra dense and heavy so that they made him sink easily in water, which is why it was their weaknesses. Water could make Elijah choke and maybe break a rib or bone by coughing or choking, just as the stronger bones made David more likely to drown in them. As Elijah said, he and David were connected, just on opposite ends of the same spectrum.
Okay, David has some kind of superpowers but he is all human. When kid loved Superman as everybody else, fir superstrenght, supersight, super... Then realized i like most commonly powered people who goes totally bad*ass like The Batman or Ironman. So, David Dunn is an inbetween but love him regardless.
David, we miss you tremendously! You were a true inspiration, a motivator and a real hero

@@borthwick1096 that’s very good
Easily the best work by James Newton Howard, and 'Unbreakable' is still in my top ten list of all time fave movies 🤩🤩🤩

The most underrated movie in history

Don't forget the Orange Man fight theme. Truly transcendent work.
The overseer is forever my favorite superhero bring him back pls 🙏🙏 like logan and Henry Cavill superman
I enjoyed this trilogy more than most modern super heroes movies.
Only calm mind people can feel the triology 😢
Most heroic soundtrack ever!

I think a comic could definitely express the Horde's inner dialogue and show the spotlight they step into to take conrol

Really want more of David Dunn 🙏🙏
I wanted a comic right after finishing Unbreakable. I needed to see more.
Once you realize your purpose, YOU must act.

Yes .
A spoiler alert for Glass would be opportune for this comment.
David Dunn is forever my favorite superhero bring him back pls 🙏🙏 like logan and Henry Cavill superman
@@maurocabrera1621 I agree
David was unrated in the Glass movie, he is the greatest hero!!!
Just like Garcia Flynn he was a legend legends never die 🙏🙏🙏 bring him back
They should really make a TV series because between Unbreakable and Glass there’s a lot we don’t know about what happened in David’s life…
If you re watch the flash back scene in glass where David is back at the house
, It seems Audrey could have died of cancer
We will never know if David survived somehow.....crushed me to hear 'bout bruce willis .....anyway, best super hero trilogie of all time....guided me through tough times and started with the first one when i was like 10......hope somehow it goes on
David well be missed 😢😔...RIP
Boy did Glass suck though bro L_L
They messed up everything, basically the writer is saying "Heroes, villains, none of it matters, just society."

@@peterjanssen5901 they had plans and back up plans for everyone like David and Kevin but they had nothing to counter Mr. Glass’s intelligence.
