This channel is so underrated, there’s something really nice about how there’s no talking in it, helps you really get into the atmosphere and the place, stay safe man
I certainly prefer that you just put comments in your videos. No talking at all. It's a very welcome change from the others. You are also very considerate to not film other people. Kudos to you. Please carry on. I enjoy watching your videos.
I don’t know how I ever found your channel, but I have now watched quite a few of your videos and I think they’re great. Very calming, relaxed and enjoying to watch. I love how transport in Japan seems so clean and tidy. Keep it up from the UK.
I’ve traveled from Sendai to Nagoya and back on this ship and the others many times. I’ve also traveled from Hachinohe to Tomakomai a few times. I love traveling this way and I always sleep well onboard.
No amo los cruceros, prefiero ir por tierra y conocer lugar por lugar, pero pero me gustan mucho tus travesías en los ferry japoneses y de que se puede vivir y experimentar en ellos 😉
IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TO SEE ALL THE AREAS RESTORED AFTER THE 2011 EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI, LIKE SENDAI...I SENT MONEY AND LOTS OF PRAYERS AND LOVE TO THE PEOPLE OF THAT BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY.AND I STILL SAY PRAYERS FOR THEM TODAY...^-^...YALL STAY SAFE & STAY SANE OUT THERE...
I really do appreciate how most things in Japan are functionally designed but aesthetically pleasing. No fluff and no fuss and no waste. I love it. Same goes for the video. Simple edits so as to allow the content to speak for itself. Big Fan. Cheers Kuga!
Your videos have a very calming effect. Watching them feels like meditation. Please never loose this originality of yours. Your new subscriber is from India.
Please keep doing this. I will be retiring in half a year and plan to explore Japan as you have been doing for a year now. You're giving me wonderful ideas. Thanks for doing this.
I started watching your videos, now my whole family is watching your videos. Decent quality, no chat chat, neat and clean. Smooth. Easily understandable without any annoying sound
I AM AMERICAN AND DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR 'IN PERSON' TRAVELS. YOUR VIDEOS ARE AMAZING. WITHOUT ALL THE CHATTER AND AND HURRIEDNESS OF OTHER VIDS, YOURS ARE CALMING, INFORMITIVE WITHOUT EXESSES. I AM ABLE TO 'FEEL LIKE I AM THERE WITH YOU. THANK YOU...^-^...YALL STAY SAFE & STAY SANE OUT THERE...*-*...
Very nice video. Love the style. No distracting jumpcuts, music, or voiceovers. I think I'll take this journey as well after a visit to Hokkaido. It seems like it's definitely the easiest way to travel that far, and quite an experience in and of itself. The price is right too, since it includes 2 overnight stays.
I hope WE ALL can travel abroad again soon! I would love to visit Japan again. And I am sure I will do some of your ferry cruises around Japan. Thank you for sharing!
This looks amazing. I've never held with cruise ships because they just seem so pointless, but a ferry that combines that kind of luxury experience with useful transportation is about as close as we can get nowadays to the liners of old, and I'm here for it. Also, I love the aggressively low-res map of Japan at the very beginning. :)
12:25 "I hope we can travel abroad soon..." I hope I can travel to Hokkaido soon! I miss the onsen and kuma in Noboribetsu, and I miss the tranquility in 坐忘林 Wish everyone in Japan healthy and prosperous!
You have an artist's eye: your cinematography is composed like fine art. Your editing is impeccable, as well, you know exactly how long each shot and scene should be. Very glad I found your channels and subscribed. Your videos are interesting, educational, artistic, and an oasis of tranquility in these troubled times. I don't speak Japanese, but may I say Arigato Gozaimasu (hope my spelling is correct?).
Thank you for your post. Is giving such an enjoyable experience of how is to travel in Japan. I like very much how they are edited and the content is wonderful ....I can’t wait to visit your lovely country!! Be well and stay safe!!
Ive seen lots of videos of several youtubers about Japan and travelling the country knowing the people; and more than i see more that i love the country its organized way of life, the education of the people, the clean aspect of every detail even the most aparently insignificant for me westerner. I really love this way of life...
Travelling by ship can be quite magical! It's a more wholesome and beautiful experience compared with just taking a plane and getting to your destination fast. If I had the time and option, I would always choose a ship! Thanks for the videos Kuga Sempai! 🙌🏼
Thank you for sharing your travel with your own thoughts, natural sound and no annoying music. I like your yukata - they’re very hard to find here in Europe.
I wish the sea was so calm when I travel on it! I took the ferry from Melbourne to Tasmania and I'll never go again. The seas were up to nine metres high. :( Thanks for another interesting travel video!
This is a lovely ship. I’m glad you had a good & safe trip. Would you consider letting us know what your meals consist of? Your dinner looked delicious but I have no idea what you ate.
I would like to see travel to the more remote areas of Japan, and favorable ways to get there as a traveler or tourist. And I can only agree with so many other people - your videos are calming and excellent depictions of the experience.
reminds me of pauls journey from turkey to Greece, ( from Troas we put out to sea, and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day on to Neapolis, acts 16 v 11
I would like to see the ferry trip from Kagoshima to Okinawa on A-Line or Marix line. Also, the Jetfoil boat from Ibusuki to Yakushima sounds fascinating.
Thank you very much for your excellent work. Your videos make me feel as if I am the one travelling. I have visited Japan 11 times and your videos inspire me to discover new itineraries and new means of transportation. Sadly last year Japan was not in the cards, this year who knows? Maybe during the second half. Please, kuga, keep them videos rolling. They make me feel homesick, but that's OK....
Your videos are plenty of Information and you are not talking nonsense and showing yourself all the time like other channels. I appreciate that! If you can, please go on february to visit the park were the cranes (tsurz) are coming every year.
I would enjoy just traveling back and forth on these ferries. I so enjoy being on the water. Cruise ships are so crowded and noisy. Ferries seem like a more peaceful and comfortable trip.
I really enjoy these videos and learning about Japanese culture, food, and transportation. Here in the states, a trip like this would be on a small cruise ship for three days. Some of my favorite videos are the bullet trains and sleeper trains. Thanks for sharing your culture with us!
Love your videos! I'm never likely to travel on the trips you take but watching your delightful reports is almost as good as being there. Thanks so much for posting.
I love how you get ice-cream every where even though it's Winter. I am loving your videos, they are the perfect way to start the day it's like meditation with a motivation boost to study most of the day and stop slacking so that i can go on a journey like this one day. I also get out of bed more quickly when i start watching them. XD
Thanks for sharing! I too love the quiet simplicity of your videos! I would like to see you travel to Gujo Hachiman. It's one of my bucket list place to see.
I loved this, as I do all your videos. I live near the ocean, there is something so calming about the sea. Calms your soul. Thanks for the great trip … we enjoy the ride with you.
I agree that it’s a great experience to travel by ferry in Japan. I travelled from Niigata to Otaru. Make sure you get a private cabin and definitely try the public bath. The only problem with the Niigata to Otaru route is that you arrive at 5am and they expect you to disembark. Otaru at 5am in late winter is no joke.
I did a fair amount of coastal cruising around Japan from 2007-09, but my "ferry" was gray and had a big number "62" on the side. I landed in Hokkaido twice, in Muroran and later in Otaru, where I was able to go and see the winter festival in Sapporo. I grew up in Massachusetts, so the climate was pleasantly familiar to me. I enjoyed my time there. Safe travels!
Nice to know seagulls are as nonchalant about humans worldwide, by the great lakes of USA they will come for the food on way to your mouth. But they seem a bit more polite over there, from what I've seen. Great video as always, love those shots of the little details.
Very nice. I once took a ferry from Tokyo to Kitakyushu, and another from Kagoshima to Okinawa. I slept on the floor in a big room with other passengers, but it was very comfortable.
Your ferry/train journeys are exactly the sort of things I like, the prices of everything seem so reasonable, and the style of your videos is so enjoyable to watch since it's so calm. Watching your videos is making me think about building an itinerary of a long trip to your country using the ferry/train rides and cruises as the skeleton, then flesh it out with other things I like, like the ski resorts in Hokkaido.
I had a business trip to Nagoya 2 or 3 years ago and taking the ferry part of the way to or from Nagoya would have been fun. Unfortunately, it would have been very difficult to get my employer to approve that. I do find it interesting that the ferries are copying the grand multi-story lobbies of the cruise lines. It does make for some very impressive space.
Just discovered your channel and binge watched 6 videos. So impressed. Love that there is no talk over. Was hoping to go to Japan last year but trip was cancelled due to Covid.
Reading some of the comments and they say it all. Thank you very much for sharing your travels. I am not a traveller so going along with you in your videos is a treat.
I love the monotony of your videos, no talking or over excitement. Just zen like and matter of fact. Strangely calming.
Is cruising popular among the locals
or Japanese? are there foreigner guests?
Agreed. No useless soundtrack, no endless yapping, just enjoying the atmosphere and ambiance of the situation, almost like being there with him.
So true.. So unique experience to watch
Check out luxurytravelexpert for the same style of video
I agree! Becoming a huge fan and going to subscribe. However the ice cream and waffle cone was mean. I was taught to share!
This channel is so underrated, there’s something really nice about how there’s no talking in it, helps you really get into the atmosphere and the place, stay safe man
There are loads of similar channels doing mostly train reviews in Europe.
ASMR travel

The "Ferry" is like a mini cruise. Enjoying your videos.
It is like a hotel moving on water. The rooms are so much better than rooms on a cruise ship. I would love to take a trip like this.
I’ve traveled from Sendai to Nagoya and back on this ship and the others many times. I’ve also traveled from Hachinohe to Tomakomai a few times. I love traveling this way and I always sleep well onboard.
what kind of accommodations do you book and what are prices, best values? thanks.
True! I love sleeping on a moving ferry
Which cabin do you usually book ?and are you traveling alone?
Japanese culture seems so "mindful". Thought is put into every detail. I am in awe. Thank you for the videos.
No amo los cruceros, prefiero ir por tierra y conocer lugar por lugar, pero pero me gustan mucho tus travesías en los ferry japoneses y de que se puede vivir y experimentar en ellos 😉
Japan is so beautiful, the more I watch your videos, the more I love your country. Thanks for sharing all your travels. Stay safe. ✌
Honestly, I am in so much love with Japan because of his videos

I agree
Sahi Kaha Bhai😀
Just the way I like travelling, solo, calm, no talking, peaceful
Some of these Japanese ferries are more like Cruise liners. Amazing.
I like the way you shoot and presented. Viewers can imagine that they are in your place. By the way it is very beautiful.
Please keep doing this. I will be retiring in half a year and plan to explore Japan as you have been doing for a year now. You're giving me wonderful ideas. Thanks for doing this.

I am impressed by the bath. You don't get it even on premium cruises with the standard room.
Love the silence of these videos. So peaceful!!
keep on making such vlogs..because there is no talking, no music…it makes us feel like we ourselves are experiencing that journey…beautiful Kuga♥️✨
I hope WE ALL can travel abroad again soon! I would love to visit Japan again. And I am sure I will do some of your ferry cruises around Japan. Thank you for sharing!
man these travel vids are so serene and calming. keep it up
I luv your videos the style of non talking narration and the feel of the trip is unique - Keep up the good work!
Agreed. So many videos, people talk to be heard. Some nice subtitles and just video to enjoy. I enjoy your style of videography.

I like the moment when the 2 sister ships blasting the horn at each other :)
I love that they provide pajamas! The room looked so cozy!

Thank you for your post. Is giving such an enjoyable experience of how is to travel in Japan. I like very much how they are edited and the content is wonderful ....I can’t wait to visit your lovely country!! Be well and stay safe!!
40 hours journey? Really?😮😮😮
It's like being on a mini cruise.
I totally enjoyed it ☺️
As a Kancolle fan, seeing that Kiso lives on in the form of a ferry makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
Heh, I noticed that too. I assume it's a more relaxing existence than being a warship. :)
I really like how organized their ports are.
Ive seen lots of videos of several youtubers about Japan and travelling the country knowing the people; and more than i see more that i love the country its organized way of life, the education of the people, the clean aspect of every detail even the most aparently insignificant for me westerner. Thank you for another calm and inspiring video. Love all the amenities that are provided, to tier service for sure. Please keep making these videos.
Travelling by ship can be quite magical! It's a more wholesome and beautiful experience compared with just taking a plane and getting to your destination fast. If I had the time and option, I would always choose a ship! Thanks for the videos Kuga Sempai! 🙌🏼

I am addicted to your long ferry rides. I feel like I get to travel with you. Keep them coming please.
大型カーフェリーの醍醐味のひとつに大浴場があります。大海原を背に入浴できるのは格別です!(元カーフェリー船員より)ボンボヤージュ!
I wish the sea was so calm when I travel on it! I took the ferry from Melbourne to Tasmania and I'll never go again. The seas were up to nine metres high. :( Thanks for another interesting travel video!
The carpet pattern in your cabin was different sailors knots. Very cute!
Love your work. Please show more food, menus, buffet options, buffet area. Ice cream menu reminds me of my trip to Japan and made me hungry.
I love the detail of the carpet of various knots.
Thank you for putting the US$ exchange rate with the prices. Makes it easier to calculate the costs of a trip to Japan
I visited Japan twice and fell in love with it. Please take me anywhere you like 😄🙏🏻
Everything is so clean and functional. Arrival time also on the dot. Even the ship is old but its very well maintained.
This is a lovely ship. I’m glad you had a good & safe trip. Would you consider letting us know what your meals consist of? Your dinner looked delicious but I have no idea what you ate.
The cabin is huge! Such a clean and orderly ship.. very Japanese!
Thank you so much for your videos. The long ferry rides are amazing!

You and Solo Travel Japan have the same, relaxing style of videos.
If you are traveling to Hokkaido, it would be fun to see festivals and food.
That curry looks so good! Great to wash it down with a bottle of Kirin beer!
Enjoy the uploads! Enjoyed Japan overall when I visited back in 2018 (for two weeks)! Thank you! =)
I would like to see the ferry trip from Kagoshima to Okinawa on A-Line or Marix line. Also, the Jetfoil boat from Ibusuki to Yakushima sounds fascinating.

Hello.
I've just recently subscribed to your channel and I must say that I am enjoying your videos.
Thank you for publishing contents like these. :)
I definitely would use this channel for information on traveling within Japan. Would love to visit with my daughters when this pandemic is over.
Love your videos! I'm never likely to travel on the trips you take but watching your delightful reports is almost as good as being there. Thanks so much for posting.
I really appreciate your time and effort, thank you for your channel! Wish you well!
A very different video to what I'm used to but gotta say I really enjoy the vibe.

Wow. Japan is a beautiful country! The port and the Ship is very clean. Hope to visit japan someday
Very very good videos. I would like to see a travel to Mount Fuji.
Am I the only one who sense 90’s vibe on the ship. It’s like going back in time to see the deco and all that. Cool.
I noticed it too!
Thanks for sharing! I too love the quiet simplicity of your videos! I would like to see you travel to Gujo Hachiman. It's one of my bucket list place to see.

Kuga's teavel.. I am from indonesia.. every where in japan you go .. so wonderful country.
Simply, peaceful, ordinary yet high quality, luxurious and reasonable price !
The ferry ship looks really nice. Just as comfortable and nice as a massive cruise ship.
I live in the USA but I would love to take one of the ferry trips...really looks so comfortable and clean.
thank you for wonderful ferry trip video.beautiful videography.
My name is gull, it was nice to see my japanes relations in your video.
Thx for all your travelling videos, they are very entertaining.
I'd like longer trips and longer videos, please.
This long range ferry is super clean, everything is well organized
