CVFD MA4/14-3-1 towing U142/14-8-2, T11/14-4-1, & U141/14-8-1, GFD 15-1-1, & PCVAC RU7506 Responding

Continental Village Fire Department (Westchester County) Mini Attack 4 / (Putnam County) 14-3-1 towing Utility 142 / 14-8-2, Tanker 11 / 14-4-1, and Utility 141 / 14-8-1, along with Garrison Fire Department 15-1-1 and Peekskill Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps Rehab Unit 7506 responding to a working brush fire at the Camp Smith Training Site on Camp Smith Drive in Cortlandt, New York. Car 2132 / 14-1-2 from the Continental Village Fire Department, 15-2-2 from the Garrison Fire Department, and Car 7511 from the Peekskill Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps also responded to this call, but are not seen in this video. 15-2-2 was cancelled prior to arrival. The Continental Village Fire Department was originally dispatched to an outside smoke investigation in the area of the Camp Smith Training Site. Car 2132 / 14-1-2 signed on and advised a large amount of smoke in the area behind the training site. He originally directed units to respond to Jack Road, which runs just north of the training site. After determining there was no access from Jack Road, he redirected units to South Mountain Pass, which also runs north of Camp Smith. At this point, he requested Garrison FD to assist in locating the source of the smoke. Units again were unsuccessful in accessing the source of the smoke and Car 2132 / 14-1-2 once again redirected units to respond to the main entrance to Camp Smith. At this time, Garrison FD was returned. Units were eventually able to make access to the source of the smoke via a trail within the Camp Smith Training Site. Car 2132 / 14-1-2 confirmed a brush fire at the location and shortly after requested Peekskill Community VAC's rehab unit to the scene. The fire was extinguished and all units were placed back into service after roughly 1 hour of operating.

Rehab Unit 7506 - 2020 Ford F550/MCB
