So great, bordering insanely the best. I named my son Renton years later when I had a kid. My wife who was 38 at the time cried multiple times watching this, never watched anime in her life. I watched this and Wolf's Rain at the same time as my first anime's ever. Both, unbeatable in my opinion I haven't found one that even touches Eureka, emotionally...I've tried so many and gave up... story wise, somehow I dig Naruto also, though. Strongly recommend, especially for older people who want to get into an anime.

The greatest anime ever created? That's debatable, but after seeing this epically awesome trailer, combined with the fact that I haven't seen this anime, I don't think I'll be arguing against it. I should watch this anime, right?
It definitely doesn't stick with the clichè mecha standard of "Let's ONLY focus on the mechs and NOTHING ELSE!". The show does contain a lot of mecha content, and most to practically all of the fighting elements are mecha, but personally as someone who isn't too interested in mecha I can say that even if you don't like mecha the fighting scenes are pretty epic, but they're not the core of what makes Eureka Seven good. What makes Eureka Seven good is its story and character development, making a somewhat believable perspective of the main protagonists as well as having a romance element which is an actual part of the story instead of a fan-service pushed relationship. Bottom line, I recommend it, but you should decide if you think that you'll be able to enjoy it even with the mecha elements it has. Boop :D
