Very informative video. Thanks for sharing. If you’re looking for an idea on a future video maybe consider doing one on finding and using the right tool for the job. Also, I’ve seen a number of trawler boats that had their teak decks removed and now have water pooling on their side decks. Thinking a couple of new limber holes may be beneficial?

Hi, Joe, another super Video from yourself question what did you do as employment as you seem very handy with your hands a craftsman brings to mind what you may have been doing but in what fields, or was it something else as your skills are very high and mixed which is what you want when restoring old things like I used to restore old cars and build custom cars and make cars faster and sleeper cars they looked standard but had a completely different engine and transmission and braking system and suspension but they looked standard as you are making a fantastic job of this boat it is going to be a head turner for sure and everyone will go wow the interior is amazing and I bet the value will shoot right up and those who say you shouldn't have altered the boat well in there faces yours will be ten times better than there will ever be with there tiny toilet and shower lol so cant wait to see her finished and in the water what engine or engines are you using for her are they the original ones or are you fitting new ones like Cummins funny enough here I go again in Daventry the next town to mine there is a massive Cummins engine factory there in the UK they build all sorts of engines marine and truck and massive tanker ships twenty feet high engines with pistons the size of dustbin lids or you could go hybrid and have an electric motor atached to the flywheel which diconects from the engine and runs the prop shaft or the prop can turn the motor which turns into a generator or run the engine and it just turns the motor/generator so many ways you can use them i thought it was a cool way to run your boat or mine when i get one.all the best from John from Rugby UK.Ps ive done it again gabbled on sorry Joe.

I have been fortunate my calling led to life of adventure. Now I can mess about with boats all day. I regularly correspond with The Werkers, those Patreons who support the channel directly. Thank you for your support

Does the rub rail cover up the hull-deck joint? If so, how do you keep water out of there? That's an issue with O'Day Mariners. It's the main place water gets into the hull. Every season I spread 5200 on the top edge of the rub rail on my Mariner. All around the boat. It doesn't look great, but it keeps the boat dry.

The hull deck joint is permanently sealed from the factory😁👍

Joe I am thinking about in making my scupper larger, don't like the small ones on my 27! good idea or not??

It’s a lot of work! You would have to change the scupper size, the thru hull size and possibly modify the deck. I considered such a modification but decided against it

I know craziest thing. I held off many years putting the snake together. But it has been a very successful tool in the last year. Highly recommend it
