Was my first thought, he may be a criminal or may not but an ever-changing charge? Just set a base fucking amount valued off the 500 coins if your so certain he lost/hid them. But I admit I don't have all the information.
Something happened a while ago, in 2022 I believe. Me, my brother, and my two friends Alex and Cameron, were having a sleep over at their house. We were outside for many hours until dark, but the dark didn’t stop us. We were playing a game where one of us hid while the three of us walked around and searched for him. Their main goal was to scare us. They ended up doing just that. So we regrouped to the front yard. Now at the time, their fence was not fully built, allowing us to freely walk into the backyard as we wished. Now this is where things get terrifying. While we were talking about another game to play, me and my friend Cameron looked at the fence. There was what seemed to be a tall figure, without facial features looking at us, but quickly retreated behind the fence. Cameron ran the other way, but I ran to the fence, and looked behind it to see… no one. It was the most terrifying thing that has happened to me, and since then, me and my friend Cameron are terrified, but my brother and Alex don’t believe us.
So instead of running away, u went to check? It could never be me, I also hv a crazy story I’m originally from Limpopo (South Africa) & growing I always knew not to go to the river or stream at 12 (pm & am) if I wanted to I’d hv to wait, this other time my aunty & I lost track of time it always becomes windy at time (like everyday single day) on that day 3 snakes appeared out of nowhere & were slithering through the grass to us. When my great grandmother was still alive & young they sent her to the river back then they didn’t hv phones & all so she wasn’t able to check the time when she got there & was about to pour water into the bucket she saw 2 pairs of eyes staring at her from below the surface, that’s not even half of the things we’ve seen, ppl who r not African don’t really blv in such & often come up with some sort of explanation but no, we r taught to respect rivers & streams bcs there’s obviously a spirit that owns that certain river or stream
Love these series. Just as a side note re: 'Greedy Gold-Diggers' - The Potteries Museum is in Staffordshire not Birmingham. Their finds are referred to as the Staffordshire Hoard ❤
12:19 Ive actually been to Lightning Ridge and it really does live up to its reputation. If you can get past the 40 degree weather in the summer, it's a great place to stay and go looking for opals, I even have a small collection of opals myself in a small jar.
Insanely Lucky Discoveries That Made People RICH indeed! *IN KNOWLEDGE, FOR ME! -- Thanks to Be Amazed! The knowledge and fun facts it provided me are PRICELESS!!*
Speaking of insanely lucky discoveries, I found an 1874 Indian head penny just laying on the ground in the middle of a customer's yard as I was walking through it
definitely didn't make us rich but my dad found a piece of fossilized coral near a FRESHWATER river the only explanation I could think of is the coral was mixed in with some sand or gravel that they dumped on the bank to make a beach
I once made a once in a life-time discovery. It was only a small coin from the 60's, and it isn't worth much, but at least it made my day. I did decide to toss two coins in the same area for future generations to find. Someone probably dropped the coin i found, but i felt like tossing those two coins where i did
Re the Sutton Hoo treasure, it's in the British Museum still. It's awesome to look at. At the Hoo itself they've got incredibly accurate replicas, including one of the ship. If you're ever in the region, it's worth the effort to visit it. The local town, Woodbridge, is on the other side of the river and there's plenty to see in the area. Btw, the archaeologist's name is pronounced Bah-zil, not Bay-zil! As in Fawlty Towers! Few, if any Basils here say it like Americans do.
I've always wanted to own a metal detector. I did go detecting twice with an old man who had a spare detector. We went on the beach and in a farmer's field. I found some pound coins and an interesting looking brooch which could either be Victorian or Art Nouveau. Not worth anything I'm sure because the metal is very thin, but I like having it. I MUST buy a detector and make it my regular hobby before I leave this world!
@@jeremyjohnson9585 in the video he said at the movie in the only time he can gobble a glizzy in the dark without anyone judging him 😂💀 a glizzy is a hot dog 🌭 or a 🍆
The "ghost jar" thing sounds vaguely like some stuff I've read about burying certain items to placate distressed spirits so they could rest peacefully and stop haunting them...especially if that someone did not have a body to bring home but needed a place to call home so they could be at peace. I could be really wrong, but it tickled something in the back of my mind I'd read many years ago.
Maybe The Black Thing, was just trying to give him a big hug in return for setting it free from the jar that night. 🤯 Guy must really value his personal space.
Fighting over money when you aren't the land owner is crazy. I get it, you discovered the haul so you feel entitled to a larger sum of it, but you aren't the legal land owner, so he would have needed permission to do that big excavation to find it all
Moral of the story: one man's trash is another man's treasure. Most people would look at these items, they would think it's just junk, and throw it in the garbage. Yet, some rich people see value in the items, and would pay an exorbitant sum to own said junk (I mean priceless artifact...)
To quote something from Indiana Jones 4: "im also rich, i discoverd BeAmazed and the tresure is knowledge" 😊 Ps: But to be completely honest. . . i wouldn't mind if I discovered a huge gold nugget 😉
for the man who found the gold boat he should never have disclosed he found it, had i been on the team I'd have just taken as much of the gold as I could and found a way to slowly start selling it off.
Once i was playing outside with some friends of mine (i was 6 at the time) i got a plastic shovel and randomly found a random key to something i dont know what it was to this day
