Hey Ed, Pura Vida to you! Great update, nice to hear you don't have health issues. That's so important, when we are in our age! I have learned while I was in hospital recently, that this can change so damned fast! Oh man, yes, the UA-cam thing...I also sometimes do not understand why new videos, or those I like the most personally, are not watched. And all the old spider stuff is going thru the roof! Updates over here: house is sold. We will move in Novembre into an apartment close by and then will we see, what the future brings...cannot leave Germany atm due to my mother's health. But things move onward, step by step.
It’s good to hear things are progressing well with your move and I hope your mother returns to perfect health soon. I know you went through some issues yourself , so good to know you got past that. That is a good reminder, no matter how bad things get, if you have your health you have everything 👍
Great update, Ed. Yes your health is one of the most important thing at our ages. The wife and I recently retired in our mid 50's. We had a wake up call when her brother ( the same age as myself, 56) died instantly of a massive heart attack. We decided that we had enough assets to retire and sold out business's. We have a place in the Santa Theresa area already with my brother's family and will spend winters there and travel Canada in summer. Life is too short!
Hey Ed, yes just make videos you want to make. It is good to take suggestions but don't feel pressured to make them. Adsense doesn't pay all that well and for some reason people who watch think we all make bucket loads of money on UA-cam which is so far from the truth. We filmed 17 videos in the week we came to the Uvita area and we are less than $100 away from paying for that trip, a year and 3 months after and this was with us eating for free at the restaurants we filmed and stay at places for free! Its a grind but eventually it will balance out financially. It is definitely nice when viewers donate to help out as it is a lot of time and energy to come up with an idea, film the idea and then edit and post the idea. Anyone watching this video and reading this comment, if you find any value in tuning into Costa Rica Story regularly than please do what you can financially to help keep the videos coming! UA-cam takes 30% so best to donate directly. Pura Vida
Muchas Gracias and no one knows the struggles of UA-cam life in Costa Rica than you guys. Burn out is a real thing for anyone with a UA-cam channel and it takes some mental fortitude to get through it sometimes. Great to see you still exploring and living a new life in a new country 🙂👍
Hola Señor Ed. Lo siento, llego un poco tarde a la fiesta. “Great State of Your Life Address” You’re absolutely right with the cost of the everyday life mini-crisis that happens in your life and in mine. You’ve had quite your share of them and the dinero just flys away 💸 never to be seen again, but replaced with a repaired tooth or a repaired car part or many other things like camera equipment. It’s not easy for you, I know it personally. I’m a little different in I’m retired, so there’s that, but what I get is what it is every month. I just returned from San Isidro for some minor maintenance on my car, and another to come, to pass the mandatory annual Govt. inspection (Dekra). Nothing major thank goodness but a few hundred dollars later it still hurts the budget. Don’t despair. I know the Costa Rica Story subscribers and many others that enjoy your channels content and the Day Adventures will help keep you moving forward in your craft. If anyone has received a benefit from the free content and they can contribute in simple ways just by subscribing or helping personally with an offer of support that you’ve explained. Anyway, we shall see you soon. Hasta luego! 🇨🇷
Very true Don, Living in Costa Rica is great, but there is always something to deal with from car issues to red tape trying to get things done. Thanks for the encouragement and moral support 🤙🏼
Great! I can’t wait to hear more about real estate in Uvita!
Thanks Michelle🙂🤙🏼
