@@ramirezwilliam8983 you need to install free VST Ripchord or free MPC software - both will work as a VST3 plugins in DAW of your choice. I personally would recommend the Ripchord VST .Most of my chord progressions packs made for those plugins. Check out this video about Ripchord: ua-cam.com/video/Fi24_99kxk4/v-deo.html

🔥🔥🔥 Do you have any time frame as to when you'll be converting all of you're old chord packs to Scaler 2?
in a one month , conservative estimate - it's a pain to do such a thing, but I'm working on it!
@@MusicianParadise gotcha... I'll be on the lookout!
First of all I want to thank you so much your work is appreciated. Secondly, don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but have you done any progressions for Heatwave, they had some awesome stuff and more EWF is always a great thing.
Please give me more suggestions, links - I will gladly do a research and will make a chord progression pack. I'm planning to do more EWF for sure. Heatwave - my knowledge is quite limited - do you mean something like Miami Heatwave?
@@MusicianParadise it was actually a music group in the 70s. Their biggest hits were "Always and Forever", "GrooveLine", "Boogie Nights" and "Star of the Story". Their main writer Rod Temperton went on to write for Michael Jackson's Thriller album.
@@Rometraxx333 thanks for the suggestion! I’ll check it out!🙏
First in, you do great work chieff.
Much appreciated !
so dope i cant say thanks just one time, 80x thanks!
80x you're welcome!
I wonder how Scaler and Logic would work with this.. Would want to change the instrument played in Komplete Kontrol and have Scaler 2 or Ripchord in the mix so that chords are the right one.. All the recording is easy on Logic with Ripchord, not so much with Scaler 2.. I need to test and practice I guess.
You can try either Scaler 2 or Ripchord, as both formats are included.
amazing
Thanks 😄
This is Wonderful!!! Thank you
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much for including 'my suggestion'(?) "The Lady In My Life" (from Michael Jackson) 😍 - according to the ripchord files that one has the most chords of all...?
"The Lady In My Life" has great chord progressions, one of the first songs I transcribed for this pack, but Chaka Khan "Through The Fire"" has the more chords!
@@MusicianParadise So it was your own idea?
@@karmaindustrie No , I just started making the pack from your suggestions, so thank you🙏
@@MusicianParadise best service 🙏👌
Sounds awesome, what vst are you using for the sounds?
Thanks! Most of the sounds is from Arturia Analog Lab Lite which is free, Arturia Pigments and Vital (amazing free synth)!
What vst do you use on 4.01? It's sounds like sample of flute, popular in 90s ambient/chill out music, very interesting
This is a recreation of a famous vintage patch in Arturia's Free Labs. Unfortunately, I cannot recall which instrument emulation it is, either Ensoniq or EMU.
@@MusicianParadise Thank you!

This is awesome will it work with Abelton Live ?
Yes! Free VST Ripchord , Scaler 2.5 and Cthulhu will work in Ableton. Also, the free Even free MPC Beats software works as a VST (Pad Perform Chord Progressions).

@@MusicianParadise okay Now i got it - i asked you on the shorts video.
awesome
Hi did you use scaler for creating these or you did them by playing them or manually fining the chords or you use the features on scaler, I want to learn how to use this scaler practical useful way
I played those chords manually on the keyboard. As much as I love Scaler 2, there's no substitute for actually playing and understanding music theory.
@@MusicianParadise okay..thats a process
@@MusicianParadise many said, scaler can teach theory
@@partlysimpson5154 yes, absolutely! Scaler 2 can help you understand relationships between chords and modes, as well as concepts such as modal interchange. However, the area where Scaler 2 lacks the most is in chord extensions, especially in a Jazz or Neo soul context.
But what I learned is after u get ur mood, tonality down with scaler ,then you go and edit the midi and make chord extensions and move octaves and edit them on ur taste, but I found that it help to lay down tonality (mood) if u know what I mean, I dont know theory tho @@MusicianParadise
Merci :)

can you do something that is compatible with ni maschine
Is it proprietary NI format?
@@MusicianParadise I don’t understand I can open ripcord in mashine as a vst3 but then I can’t program sounds to trigger
@@arcademcFLy this must be something to do with routing - Ripchord does not produce sound by itself so it's midi output must be routed to some VST/AU plugin. Unfortunately I don't own NI Maschine so I have no idea how to set it up. There is a video by creators of the Ripchord which explains how to set up everything in almost any DAW but not the Maschine but probably it will help:ua-cam.com/video/7e3TJkv6qMA/v-deo.html
how to install presets into scaler2??
Go to "User" tab click "Open folder" and then folder will open drop the preset files there. Now, go to the "User" tab again and click "Refresh list" - the presets should appear under the "User " tab. Hope this helps, let me know if you succeeded!
@@MusicianParadise It is not working for me, I have version 2.7, it only works for 2.5? :(
Very strange : I can see those MP 80 progressions in a folder of my MPC One, but not all your others. I see that those 80s ones are under file name .progression and the other are .rpc , I change some of the old ones to .rpc but they are still missing. Super strange because I could see them before.
Those .rpc files are for Ripchord VST only! Those are exactly the same progressions - you need only .progressions files for the MPC! I'm sorry if it caused confusion!
@@MusicianParadise Cheers mate, I redownload them, everything works wonder ! No need to be sorry, thanks so much for all your work !
Greetings from France
This is great work, but how do i load them? ive done add folder ect but they dont show? ( i downloaded the xml files from your link
XML files work with the Scaler 2 plugin. To use them, follow these steps:
1. Open Scaler 2 and go to the "User" tab.
2. Choose "Open Folder" and drop the folder containing the XML files into it.
3. Go to the "User" tab again and choose "Refresh.".
4. You should now be able to access the chord presets from the user menu.
Followed this instruction to the tee and they not loading ?@@MusicianParadise

Hey… I downloaded the chord progressions, watched the installation guide, named my folder on the usb Progressions, but they don’t appear in my mpc live. I don’t have a “other” tab in my progressions box. Please help
1. In this case, progressions files will appear under the tab "MP 80's" - not the tab "other", because I created the new category tab for this progressions pack, so scroll down the list of the tabs; maybe it's there.
2. Your "Progressions" folder must be located on the root of your usb drive
3. Check the "Progressions" folder name for spelling mistakes - it happens to me once!
I hope this will help, let me know if you succeeded!
Thanks for your response. I donated yesterday “Thanks for everything you do.” I was able to get the progressions to show up on the software, but not my live. I don’t even have all the progressions that come stock in the software, such as the house, gospel, jazz, etc… Is it because I’m using 2.10.1?
@@Frank-gu1mq Hi Frank! Thanks for the donation! The problem you are describing definitely not the firmware 2.10.1, because I'mr running on 2.10.1 without any problems. If the factory progressions content are missing probably the folder "Progressions" on the internal MPC HD is missing somehow. You can check it by using the MPC browser - go to the "Internal" - "MPC Documents"- "Progressions". One thing you can do is "Factory reset" - so all the factory settings will be restored. Please back up your user data before attempting that! Can you describe in detail, how you trying to access those progressions (Pad Perform) on your hardware MPC Live?

are they only for mac?
No, those files will work on any platform!
how to install in scaler window

Sir. Why for free? I don’t understand.
Well, honestly, to sell stuff like this, you have to build a whole marketing machine and constantly make sure the wheels are running - (look at the Unison infamous midi pack marketing campaign ) otherwise, the sales will be marginal, so it is a full-time job! For now, it is all free, but those who disagree with my freebie policy can always use the "donate" button on the landing page 😆 ! Also, this does help to grow my YT channel, and I'm making some money through YT, although it is a very small amount, as you can imagine!
There are still some generous people in the planet....
