I gave birth to my son at the age of 15yrs.... It was not easy but i thank God my son is now 23yrs old and doing great!!! What this girls need to know is having a baby while young is not good but once it happens it should not bring you down. It should be an alarm like your eye opener. Changamka go back to school if possible if school is impossible then go out and work! Work! Work! And work hard and let your baby get everything you never got. And let them be responsible above all pray pray pray for your kids. God listens to every prayer...... By the way huyo boy hakuniwacha.... Mpaka sai tuko na 4kids. 24yrs down the line. It was a blessing in disguise 🙏
This makes soo much sense. I commend you Cate for sitting down with the young people and letting them speak from their perspective instead of us always telling them what they need and have to do. They gave some views I have never considered.
MashaAllah the girls express themselves so well ..This should reach more people ..Mainstream media probably ...There’s a lot to learn here for both parents and teenagers
Kate big up for this .. right now it's the time we have realized the depth of what is happening . Big up to the to girls who have spoken too... Great insight
Full of wisdom.i love you Kate my mentor,,,,,i wish i can join this initiative and encourage this young girls.there is hope after this hata mimi nilipata and life moved on,the only mistake ni kurudia the same mistake,
Good job guys, I have learned alot and mostly because my son is a teen dad and he led me to think of what it is I can do for the boy child to keep them informed. 💞
Wow....I love this...I really feel I should be part of this team...give back to the society by enlightening the young generation for a better future 💕🥂 Napenda.... There's so much have gotten to know about 😘
Cate God atakubless tu sana juu ya chenye huwa unafanya 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you for creating awareness for the youth.... So informative ☺️😏 Sasa n Mungu atusaidie hizi advice zisifall on deaf ears Watu wasiishi kuregret wakisemanga I wish I knew....
Watching from Germany.. here contraceptives are given to girl as early 12 years ; to sexually active girls. I hope Kenya tunafika hapo. Am a proud single mother of 2 and have no regrets coz am okay now but zenye nilipitia only God knows. Keep up Kate.
it's heartbreaking that most of the pregnancies occur as a result of, esp these young girls, looking for sustenance and protection... yaani the basic of basic needs. it breaks my heart. Kate kudos and if you can, make a series out of such topics.
Kate, i totally salute you for everything you do, and especially for this topic...this hits home hard. This is a very candid conversation and as Shiko has said, we need to discuss with the teens and not to the teens- that conversation needs to happen. every parent needs to talk with their children and not assume that the teacher is discussing with your own child, the teacher has her own child to deal with as well. I love Rashid's view and how he says the boy child should get involved..the moral support is very important. I hope the conversation does not stop here and it moves to the ground level in all counties. Hope Shiko moves her foundation to other counties like Kilifi as well, we need this kind of positivity...Good work Kate..
Great work. We need to support our girls . The pressure nowadays is more than real. Girls should try and just exercise self control as much as they can or use family planning. Babies are good but you should get a baby you can comfortably raise, better than you were raised.
I have never known that men also get 'pregnant' after making a lady pregnant,as Rashid has said. As Shiko said that the information should be given to the correct audience to prevent more teenage pregnancy, I believe this is the right audience. I really love this, it's our parents to talk to us because this things are already here unavoidable. Kudos guys 👏👏
I think this is very helpful, creating awareness is very important, People don't realise how tough it is to be a teen mom until they actually go through it I have been there and I would love to be a part of this conversation Kate Let us keep the conversation going💯
Great conversation Kate. Mimi naishi Norway na huku condoms ni free, girls n boys just walk into family planning clinics and pick them at the reception, no judgement/questions asked. Abortion is legal for all girls and women before the 3 month mark. My hope and prayer for Kenya and Afrika at large, is that we can have these conversations freely, sex education should be about empowering the youth, giving them options,as the young man said.
I love this, my passion for a very long time has been to sensitize kids on the issue of sex, uninformed sex is more dangerous than unprotected sex, a fact that we need to comprehend, really love what you are doing Kate would love to join your team, help out in any way I can...
Thankyou for having this important conversation as raw as we could. We tend to tip toe around facts. Let's face it, as we give them sanitary towels lets talk about teenage sex.
Young gals are close to my heart N how their innocence is taken away is heartbreaking Am a victim got pregnant at 18.n I truly know how it a affected me Am willing to volunteer n talk to them
Wow such great advice. Thank you cate and the entire team for enlightening us. There are so many things mmesema that I wasn’t aware of. Thank you so much for the enlightenment to us youths
Hapo kwa photoshoot ya ball na Maldives ulimulikwa Kate😂😂😂😂 lakini on a serious note, thank you for taking up this mantle Kate and trying as hard as you can to shine a light on the matters happening
ciku thanks for representing lunga lunga in a positive way. I was raised in lunga lunga and understand the challenges. Next time am in lunga nitakutafuta. Otherwise keep up the good work.
The information is there and very public but due to ignorance, the young people don't care. The real problem is the way Sex and Alcohol has been glorified right from high school to campus. You know sex could make you pregnant but you throw all care to the wind because it makes you cool.It makes you feel like you are really enjoying the life!!!!
This girls made me break down having going through the same thing didn’t have any information the guy who got me pregnant quickly moved on as if nothing happened yani it is so sad how life can be so unfair
There's a study here in the U.S whereby the mothers living in project housing, (equivalent to the ghettos) their teens getting pregnant and giving birth in those circumstances, it's very hard to break that cycle of poverty.

Wow Kate plus these young youths God bless you doing a good job.
Thanks Cate for this great information. But it's best given in schools all over the country. Especially villages
I love the lady and gent, quite informed and on point!
Using the term 'contraceptive' is more appealing to use in adolescents and young women than using the term 'family planning'.
I think this is very helpful, creating awareness is very important,
People don't realise how tough it is to be a teen mom until they actually go through it
I have been there and I would love to be a part of this conversation Kate
Let us keep the conversation going💯
