Really solid guide, I very much agree with what you believe is the optimal buildpath for Renek! Prowlers/Bork into Seryldas is indeed probably the best way to carry most SoloQ games. Opponents rushing armor (Most do when seeing the prowlers) get melted after Seryldas and it's pretty satisfying. However I do think the prowler's build is unplayable into certain teamcomps (Mostly Anti-Dive supports like Janna and Renata and Exhausts/Cleanses) and against a few tough lane opponents, like Jax or against tanks like Ornn. I do have a major point I disagree on though... List of toplaners that win vs Renekton in the sidelane with similar gold/xp: - Fiora - Trynd - Jax ^ These 3 can be problematic in the sidelane even when behind, and I'm glad you pointed out the 2 big offenders (Jax and Fiora) in the video! - Aatrox - Riven - Sett - Garen - Darius - Gnar - Irelia - Teemo (yes) - Nasus - Kled - Illaoi - Ornn? - Wukong - A good Jayce - The list goes on... It is for this reason that I do not think he is a good late game champion, since you usually don't go TP in SoloQ and oftentimes get forced to group. IMO Renek's strength has always been the ability to setup a toplane kingdom early/mid game with an aggressive jungle pick. please do not claim he's good in sidelane he never really has been :( If you get bork + prowlers way before your opponent gets their items, then yeah you will win 1v1 sidelane, but you still do not take turrets fast or have good escape potential like good side laners do. I think that rather than trying to sidelane, establishing vision control around objectives with sweepers and control wards to look for picks is the way to go. I prefer the Romanium-style Ingenious Hunter secondary tree for this reason. There's also a Korean AD Renekton who climbed a shit ton up to high challenger and was building stopwatch and zhonyas 3rd/4th item in a lot of games. I've tried it myself and it's really effective since stasis has always been super useful with Renekton's kit and after your core items, there's not really much else you need to build anyways. I'm surprised you didn't go over your signature Renekton combo/animation cancel in the video either D: Great guide though, especially when going over the laning phase.

@@10egemen10 The focus is to duel, and skirmish, Tenacity is probably more valuable in team-fights whereas the attack speed is better for the duels, and cleaner burst combos.
@@10egemen10 unflinching is enough tenacity, atkspeed helps build fury and last hit. Boneplating or second wind, never conditioning. The amount of effective hp you get late game from conditioning is negligible, getting a strong lane phase is far more important.

Hey. Thank you for the guide. I am a main support (acc lvl 50 now.) so i am pretty much new 2 the game. I want to learn top with renek now because i want too switch it up a bit cause i want too know how it feels 2 carry a game. i think top lane is hard when u mainly play support and never had too manage a wave properly. i hope i can adapt too this guide and finally carry a game. my biggest fear is that i cant proxy like u explained.
If you're new to toplane don't focus on proxying, focus on basic wave management, renek combos and spacing, proxying is something that you'll eventually understand later. Stick to the basics and you'll get better in no time 👍
What about tank Renekton? Sunfire, BC, Titanic (Core items), gargoyle, and warmogs (Or randuins and another mr item). That extra dmg from sunfire during ult really burns through people

At one point he mentions tankier/beefier builds are okay but ultimately that playstyle means you're relying more on your teammates. If you're playing solo/duo queue you always want to play as if your plan is to carry your entire team of feeders to victory since. Thats why he suggests those super lethality/more dmg based items to a lead that he plans to fully abuse. As of the newest patch 13.17 Goredrinker is the current standard / good choice mythic though. I'm sure his suggested pick still works if you plan to play that aggressive and know how to follow it up by abusing your leading.
