Hey! Maybe you know whether all Fords like Fiesta ST, Focus ST (and simple, not ST versions also) and Mondeo have similar gear knobs or not? My Mondeo MK4 (2008) also uses lift up reverse, but I am not sure if the gear knob's bottom hole diameter and the thread pitch are exactly the same as on Focus / Fiesta ST-s. I would like to buy a new gear knob for my Mondeo (something like that shown in your video), but, at the same time, I am afraid of spending money without getting any positive result. Thank you for the answer anyway!
I know how you feel lol I felt the same way too at first. You can try to use a plastic prybar for interior pieces, that should help get under it - just becarefull still.

Sorry! I don’t think it’s possible unless you replace the entire shift assembly by removing the center console and getting to it. You can try to see if there is an aftermarket one with a different shifter. Or if the shaft itself can be separated from the rest.

I have an SE and when I try to unscrew mine the whole rod unscrews not just the knob
You have to remove the whole boot assembly unfortunately.

Just make sure it has the correct thread and pitch as the one you have now. If is an auto, it’ll be a bit more difficult, but the info is out there!

Nice! lol some knobs you'll have too tighten down pretty hard in order to get it to face straight haha. How much of yours is at an angle?

I don't think so, I think it's just the standard 12mm x 1.25 thread pitch
