As a liter bike myself I know what u mean .. milestone games (recent ones) are realistic in the way recent real MotoGP bikes are computer driven bikes mostly, the problem is that milestone are trying to go one step ahead and hires MotoGP riders to build the game’s physics to be simulation @ 80%+ but in real life for us real street liter bike riders, our bikes aren’t fully computer driven since we don’t have full lightweight carbon fibre bikes with near 300hp engines and advanced full slick tires like them !! So the game might be realistic for MotoGP riders but is getting less realistic for us !! Ride 4 is a great game "top graphics" but aimed more at the wanna own a bike folks out there , lacking in the real racing circuits simulation compared to milestone games , ride franchise is like forza for bikes , you can dream and virtually drive a machine near real life simulation, street wise!! But for folks like me, which owns a real liter bike and ride it every day, ride franchise is obsolete!! Sadly MotoGP "Milestone" is also obsolete!! Last motorcycle racing game I’ve enjoyed tbh is Sbk X !! Old game , old graphics but I still play and enjoy it in 2022 somehow 😂 🤣
@@soundwerkslabs5162 GP Bikes, my man. Possibly the best motorcycle sim out there. Base game is bare bones, but the mods make the game. Seems like the whole community basically consists of people who ride in real life or have ridden motorcycles. Including a current Moto 2 rider. I have few clips of it on my channel running with bike, track and graphics mods. However I'm really slow in them. I recorded those quite early after buying and made the mistake of jumping on a monster of a WSBK bike on difficult tracks. To me, even the MotoGP series aims for realistic handling, just authenticity. Milestone doesn't go for making good physics and handling, but making money with every release. I've also heard good things about RiMS Racing handling, but I haven't tried it yet myself. But you nailed your description of Ride. However you missed the part it's actually running on same platform as MotoGP, and made by Milestone as well.
@@pek7629 I understand what you mean and somehow agree with parts of it but what I meant was : as a real life rider, the bikes I’ve rided/raced .. non of em are even close to mgp bike electronics!! So in a way even if they are realistic representing real mgp bikes, they don’t feel realistic even for usual real life riders since we never got on a bike fully build of carbon fibre and titanium, geometrically designed at the extreme focused on one purpose only "lapping fast on high speed world circuits” with cutting edge technology tires and ridiculously advanced electronics that probably and surely works in mgp but no way , is as regular human beings, ever will have a chance to try those electronics on one of those bikes and first of all feel the limits of the bike without electronics, then add the electronics to realize how it works in real life !! That’s my point !! 😂 Not saying the game is arcade and not realistic!! But to me , a real life rider , wsbk games felt more realistic, more similar to what we experience on a bike available to us !! I have both from day one , both great games but moto gp22 has better graphics, better physics, better cockpit cams also with fov sliders /seat positions ( ride doesn't have it ) the cockpit view in this videos are just available in the replays, but the real cams are betters in moto gp22 Moto gp22 it's a pure sim , amazing physics and very hard to master , ride 4 it's great but more simcade feel
It's not the actual gameplay btw. That nice first person view is just available in replays. A lot of people like to use it for clickbait views in UA-cam.
@@MidnightPodcast I'm not impressed by it. Tried it a million times and I hate stupid camera shake effect that gets worse and worse the faster you go. Plus I can make camera angle similar to that in GTA V and actually play it. And look manually into the corner, or anywhere that is. Also good example, GPB allows you to play in VR and use your head motion as rider body lean, and you get the natural camera angle.
Note that first person views looks really good for presentation but are just replays and are not available for actual gameplay. Onboard views in Milestone games are horrible for gameplay and are yet to see any light of development. Rims racing has done the best job so far for the First person players.
@@pek7629Saw some of the gameplay on your channel. GPbikes appears to be like assetto corsa where you have good physics base and modding capabilities. I'll definitely give it a try on next steam sale

But I still recommend it to anyone who wants a proper motorcycle sim. The mod bikes and tracks make it much larger and better. The small'ish playerbase still keeps it alive with new stuff. You could call it the Assetto of motorcycle sims. I haven't touched other bike games after I got it. It really aims for realistic handling more than anything. But don't take my gameplay as vanilla gameplay, I'm using personal setup including reshade graphics so experience may vary. Beware of downshifting on that default bike if you turn off shift assist while testing the demo. It doesn't have autoblibber, gotta rev match it manually if you turn assist off.

Ride4 is still very difficult but unlike MotoGP you actually feel and make sense of what the bike is doing. In MotoGP the difficulty feels "artificial". The bikes feel very heavy and they stop unpredictably, especially the MotoGP class. It's funny but the most fun class to play in MotoGP22 is actually Moto2.

lol its super arcadish compare to moto gp you dont even trip if you jam the front brake hard, the only reason the game looks hard is because of scripted ai physics and foul time attack
Other than saturation i can't see much of a diference. Hope that someday they'll add raytracing, fix the reflections and add realistic vertical weight on the bikes, the moment they don't touch the ground they feel like baloons. Not to mention a bit more breakable parts on the bikes, all you can do right now is maybe scratch the painting a little... maybe.
Seems like Ride 4 looks better, but MotoGP 22 seems more realistic with physics and models. It's pretty close. I have Ride 4 and Isle of Man TT 2, I still suck too much to enjoy the GP sims for now. Really enjoying the challenge of a new racing game style.
it's the same game, they just change the physics, lighting, textures and a few things, look at the mountains, the trees and there are even bushes that are the same
the quality of this video sucks, bitrate is low, and resolution is 1080p rather than 4k, and don't tell me it's youtube, youtube allows quite good quality for 4k, the original video which was uploaded here was decently of bad quality

Both look amazing. Ride 4 seems a bit more photo realistic to me. I currently own Ride 4 and I'm considering buying MotoGP 23 when it releases.

Note that first person views looks really good for presentation but are just replays and are not available for actual gameplay. Onboard views in Milestone games are horrible for gameplay and are yet to see any light of development. Rims racing has done the best job so far for the First person players.
GP Bikes has even better first person view, and it's completely configurable too
