That’s just it. The River doesn’t really have a story, just random characters that come in and out to cause either a distraction, or destruction, by one of the main characters. There is no overarching storyline anymore, in my view, except for MaLindz defeating everyone most of the time.
This happens a lot with mzanzi shows know so it these days Greed and desire was consistent and entertaining to watch till the end Other shows must take notes
What people are forgetting is that: Cobrizi stole diamonds from Lindiwe and asked Lindani to keep them for him It got too much for Lindani when Lindiwe started searching for the them in the whole of Refilwe to the point where he confessed to Charlie Charlie tipped Lindiwe in hopes of getting the cash reward from Lindiwe Lindiwe shot Lindani Cobrizi confessed to Tumi Tumi went to the mansion to confront Lindiwe. Don't remember how that went,but instead of leaving she went into the garage,where she tampered with the brakes. While in the garage,she overheard Lindiwe and Zolani talking about how lucky Tumi had her husband were that she didn't kill them. Tumi was mad,still not sure if the brakes were tampered with before or after she overheard Lindiwe and Zolani's conversation, but yea Mbali ended up using the tampered car and died. Tumi never told Lindani all this. Mabutho then overheard Tumi's prayer confession about everything that had happened, and the rest we know what happened. So if Lindani knew the story,he never would have pushed for Tumi to confess. Mabutho was actually trying to protect all of them. I'm not sure why that plot was never incorporated back in this current situation 🤷♀️
The prayer Mabutho overheard was after he burnt down the building. The first time he overhead that she tampered eith the brakes was when Tumi was talking about it to Rakgadi Kedibone at Paulinas tavern. This was the first screentime Mabutho had on the river.
