I think she is sad that he is dead, because she didn't realize how much she actually loved him. The fact that it was Mabutho who killed him, added to the hurt. Mabutho was only a way out of what she believed was not working. That was what Mabutho represented, and she is slowly coming into this reality, as she is now seeing who he really is. He clearly was not an upgrade.

@@salumzansi In other words, we leave someone whom we claim is not good enough for us anymore, but who has outstanding qualities/values and mad love for us (80%), for someone else who on the outside might appear to have the missing piece of what we think we need and want (the 20% the other person ((supposedly) didn’t have), but in reality is not good for us.
Even though Tumi claimed that she had changed and wanted different things, like to not get pregnant at this time, Lindani was always respectful, supportive of her, honored her, had some class about him, and loved her, which represents the 80% quality person. She left that for Mabutho, a man who on the outside was macho, sexy, and claimed he wouldn’t pressure her, the 20% quality I guess she didn’t see in Lindani, only for her to discover the truth about the type of man he really is, which as MaLindz said earlier on, would end in tears.

Again it goes back to the concept of the relationships are not your everyday good meets good and they live happily ever after.
