It's also possible he was copying one of the killers he read about in the books he had. One killer was known to deliberately misspell words.

It is terrible for them all. His daughter is beautiful, she is. Nothing worse can ever happen to his wife, and if she is taking part in a movie and receiving money, horrible as it is, maybe inside herself with all she has been through, that this is payback to her for all she has been through, having this awful man as a father to her baby and her husband. It could be silent revenge at a world that has let her down. Nothing worse can happen to her, either in the voice of public opinion, or anywhere. She has no pride left, she has to carry that shame. The daughter must be worried to death, her mother has cancer and this awful man her big daddy is known all over the world for the horrible man he is. It must be terrible, they must think they are watching themselves, that is nature's way of protecting one. It is very unethical but she has nothing to lose. We can only put our heads together on these sites and open up a memorial fund for kids at risk in their name, or a plaque. We the general public won't let the little victims be forgotten, we are lucky it could be one of our's , just by a trick of fate it is somebody else's child. God help them too and their families'.

One of the last comments Banfield spoke was about Rex possibly being in a hurry and excited while writing, possibly leading to the misspellings. I don't know Rex at all. So I can't say this for certain. However on my end, from my own experience, I am a college graduate, currently going to University to become a teacher. I'm autistic, dyslexic, and have ADHD. I say that to let you know that people who are intelligent can have issues with spelling. That is not to toot my own horn. But when I am in a rush, or I'm overly excited, or I'm having issues with my ADHD, my spelling becomes very adolescent in its mistakes. Frequently my scribbled lists to myself, that I know no one else is going to be reading, we'll have huge misspellings. Because I know no one else is going to be seeing it so it doesn't really matter. I've been like that all my life. I know other people who are like that too. It is very likely that that's just his own shorthand or he doesn't care what it's spelling is like because no one else is going to see it and his understanding. That's just my two cents, not tooting my own horn, lol have a blessed day y'all.
