The fact that Gilbert's murder was written off as an 'accident' makes me think a cop did it. She literally made a 911 call saying someone was after her, then was found strangled in a swamp.Outrageous.

Oh absolutely. For some reason they are he|| bent on making sure that everyone knows Shannon’s case was an isolated incident. I don’t believe it for a second. She advertised the same, was petite, from the same background. Feared for her life only to end up exactly as she feared with many others just like her nearby. What are the chances of that? . I believe that it’s being covered up because there are more people involved that are of higher ranking. The girl Rex dated said he mentioned something about a ‘ki|| party’ and also brought up Shannon. That will make sense as to why Shannon seemed very bewildered, confused and shocked by what was taking place that night. I think there were more men there and this is just what they do with these girls. Rex may have been one of them and the fall guy.

@gailainsley6939 Totally agree, I'm glad to see someone else sees into it as more than the obvious as well. I think hes the fall guy but definitelyguilty. He may have done some murders alone. But I agree with your analysis regarding Shannon's murder 😢 Why the cover-up, why the secrecy Other than to protect one of their own and Deny the civer-up and their incompetence! Shannon even stated in her 911. Call to Michael, "you were in on this all along" And that was the driver, and what about that doctor hatchet? There was definitely a lot going on that they were covering up, This monster may have acted alone on some of the murders but I don't think he was alone on all of them. I don't think hes ever stopped killing. I think there are many, many more unfortunately that we are yet to even know about.😢

I always thought Shannon had overheard a conversation about her being used in a snuff movie that night, but she didn't know who exactly was involved. That caused the absolute fear and distrust of everyone she came across that night.
The fact that the car thief who stole from Police Chief James Burke's car found sex toys and what the thief described as a homemade snuff video in a bag. He claims he watched a few minutes of it.
I think there was a group of well educated, well connected people involved in sex crimes and snuff movies. I think the 'doctor' was involved. That's my theory, and it makes most logical sense to me. I do not accept she had a mental break or an accident. She was found naked with a crushed hyoid, no drugs were detected in her autopsy.

A neighbor of the brother was talking about how his brother is even bigger and taller and is a piece of work too, violent and threatening people, hitting people with steel poles. Their father died when the kids were young, but used to walk around town with an ax. He thinks that the brother may have participated in the killings too and that he has dogs (lots of them) and he could have fed the victims to the animals in his large property. Makes sense. Maybe that's the one who was dismembering them, b/c they seem to be different people and different MO (or it's Rex at a different stage in his life, who knows) Disgusting male lineage in that family. Actually, in Criminal Psychology, it does exactly that - get to the root of the issue. What caused these persons to become such heinous time bombs? Each persons circumstances in life are fairly unique. Almost no one goes through exactly what you went through. These are not excuses or condoning, not at all. When Psychs or Criminal Psychologists, Profilers go through the backgrounds, it IS to try to understand possible triggers for why this person turned into an SK
      - why do they need to find what could explain this? So that hopefully, more killings can be PREVENTED in the future. Prevention of whatever leads to crime, is key here.

This murderer is still out there as far as we know. So many unsolved cases. As a sociologist I feel concerned that these murders whether a child or adult seem to be increasing in number. Unfortunately the last time I checked CSAM has also increased. It's alarming. My interest is the responses on these podcast concerning these matters. Lately I have heard two politicians mention some of these concerns. It's needed. I will not forget little Adam Walsh and will not forget the victims I've heard about nor their families.
