For 30 dollars I'm just going to search for skyboxes in the toolbox, but I can see bigger developers buying this. It's like Adobe vs it's alternatives, enthusiasts and hobbyists buy the alternatives and professionals buy Adobe Another point, Roblox's fees are actually terrible, so these graphs don't really surprise me. It's really sad, and I wish I could go back to the times when Roblox was privately owned
Sorry that I haven't watched the full video but as a fellow creator, I'm pretty annoyed at USD pricing given information I've just found out which is forcing me to exit the market...
I see my comment about the living wage bit(7:21) was removed so ill post it again. As of 1st april 2024 the national living wage per hour is £10.18/Hour(12.93/Hour) for 21-22 year olds, This comes to £81.44/day($103.44/day) for an 8 Hour day. $300/day comes to £236.20/day or about £3700/Month or £49000/year if you are working 4 days a week. If you are making $140/day(£110.22/day) from sales then your making above the living wage. I totally agree with the unfair amount roblox give creators and they definitely need to change it.
I'm so surprised by the result. Didn't realize how inflexible the demand for paid plugin is, I thought that with the existence of piracy the demand for it would be brought down, making it so it's only profitable at a low price. Even your plugin I thought raising the price so high would impact your revenue negatively, but I feel humbled by the result here.
This makes me realize so much more why the new creator store is way better. Especially the section at 12:22. It's cool to see the higher prices meaning more revenue. I personally don't make plugins so I can't really participate in this. Roblox games, plugins, and avatar clothing have had a stigma towards making those things not free or ~5 robux or whatever. With the Creator Store, that's gone for plugins. With the UGC accessory price floor, that's kind of gone, but also public UGC will come eventually. (Note that I'm not a UGC accessory creator). But, when it comes to the pricing of games, I feel like I just shouldn't. I'd love a filter for price, which is a whole other issue but I digress. There's a stigma when you make something cost money. I feel like my game deserves a price at $5 to $10, comparable to indie games on the market on Itch. I do know that games are an entirely separate thing than plugins, but yeah. I just don't feel like Roblox's community can support my game if I made it paid-access.
Wow! This seems amazing. I will definitely think about selling my plugins for a higher price. However the USD pricing update could come in my way. I'm under 18 and so I can't use USD pricing, which means I will not be able to sell plugins for Robux either (if I am right). I think Roblox shouldn't force USD pricing for plugins, as it will hurt younger creators like me.
Exactly the same here unfortunately. No offense but I don't see EventBlocks or your new block building plugin selling nearly as well as it does now given USD pricing, I don't feel like it'll end up selling with that. Do you plan to make your plugins free or off-sale btw?
@ExperiencersInternational I don't plan that at all haha I guess I'll see where this whole thing goes, and I think I could still sell my plugins for USD, but I'll probably make a demo version or sth then.
WHAT?!?!?!? YOU WONT PAY 8300 ROBUX FOR WHAT IS BASICALLY A RESKINNED COMMAND BAR (ROBLOX STUDIO HAS A BUILT IN COMMAND BAR)????????? YOU ARE NOT A REAL DEV! On a serious note thankfully i bought all the plugins before the prices were massively increased

I responded over on the DevForum!
@@dphfox yeah, saw your response
Hoping it goes well with putting it forward to Roblox, I have no contact whatsoever with them

The results are surprisingly good! This is why I need to measure things more.

I think USD pricing might benefit younger audiences as asking your parents for 5 dollars is way easier than asking your parents for 1400 robux.
