Ser Josie here, when playing Tear you live and die by the mill. Id say i got lucky to get as far as i did. It took 4+ hours IRL to play the games so excuse the misplays. I actually didnt get low on the timer, maybe once under 30 seconds throughout all my matches. I keep in mind that i need 100+ seconds to play on my opponents turn. No anti Maxx C cards in deck, basically all gas to play through disruption. I wish i had saved the replays but i took down a full Warrior pil board going 2nd and decked out an opponent who Maxxed me when i had Card Destruction in hand.
what i hate about rituals, is the rituals themselves not only they take up deck space with them and their ritual spell (5-6cards is a lot), but most of them can't do anything on their own. They should improve rituals to have more utilities like "sauravis" : 1. searches an in-arche type card 2. make a built-in ritual summon effect on them 3. have unique interrruption 4. have recovery when it leaves the field and only then, they might be on par or below the current meta
They have tried to get around this a few times by having the ritual search its spell or having the spell work to ritual from deck. Or just having a dozen ways to cheat it out. idk RItuals as a concept are just not good, I think a card like Pre Preperation of rights is needed except it can add any ritual spell then add any ritual monster that can be ritual summoned using that spell

Setting two and passing was a meta-strategy, decks had unique themes and lore that went beyond playing a game of solitaire and then telling your opponent to go fuck themselves. Ash Blossom had yet to be born even the strongest decks had a way to be countered. I remember playing 5 different decks that all had different ways to play and didn't just end with the same lame-ass negate fest of today, that was many moons ago... In 2015. Hopefully, the future of lore decks do what they did back then and make one cohesive set of lore-based decks that play off one another. Sinful Spoils is not a bad set of stuff, but there's gotta be a line you draw when a deck only really counters itself and the only answer is a deck that'll be rouge in a set or two. Yubel is too annoying for its own good, Snake Eyes is too annoyingly powerful for the game's good.
I prefer to play decks that PUNISH hand traps than play them, but that just gets harder and harder the more newer decks get built around stuffing half or more of their deck with them.
@@MarioLopez-xs3vc yeah i tried to climb with raidraptor and i couldn't climb beyond diamond 3 with it even tho i try to setup my combo to play around nibiru and imperm/veiler they always have multiple handtraps and a one card combo that i just switched back to mathmech and branded
@@Akky_Games pure raidraptors, i try to always to tweak my combo to summon raider's knight with raider's wing to play around imperm and veiler but they either have maxx c or they are playing yubel which doesn't care anyway about my towers
That first clip shows how this game is no longer monster vs monster, its now negate vs negate, and who ever goes first typically wins.. wow fantastic 40 seconds of gameplay.

Between this and no fiend lock Im really concerned with that they were thinking. Granted they just havent been putting locks on enough good decks recently. If anything they have been putting the worst hard locks Ive ever seen on mid cards
@@myrmecii578 i rather play a rough or fun tier that is only 600-800 UR that are mostly handicaps that can compete against the best meta even if its 1/3 times than spent 1000 +UR for a deck everyone is playing not including handtraps
It would be nice to have a rouge deck weekly without handtraps. I understand that some rouge decks can be a bit bricky. but it felt that all the duels in this over 1 hour long video were the same with the constant yubel and snake eyes.

@FrostReave like the only thing that could have actually toned down snake eyes, is to actually give them a lock when they use cards like Oak or Flamberge.. Insanely bad card design
fusion, ritual, synchro, xyz and link out of all 5, ritual is the only one that sucks they really need to cook it thoroughly for it to be good. i'm getting a glimpse of it's potential thru dogmatika, burger & voiceless but it's not enough a 6-8 interruption SEFK vs 2-3 interruption VV a 8-10 interruption YUBEL vs 2-3 interruption VV *it's a no brainer who's got more power, heck even BEWD can overpower them with their new support
A Mikanko Yubel deck is too complicated, you need harmony between Level 3 and Level 10 without tuner and xyz ranks. Links are all the same with no impact today and every Yubel is a brick until you get combo and cant use ritual monsters, bc they are also bricks. Voiceless Voice only supports light dragon/warrior rituals, that cant harmonize with Yubel. Maybe someone could get a combo, but i dont believe at the moment :/

If there is a custom banlist, it's probably not a meta weekly and something else. 3. The point of these tournaments is to showcase the current meta and maybe see what some people might try to come up with. If you don't like the format, don't play it or watch it. Or if you still want to play, try to look for some alternative decks to play instead. Who knows maybe you will discover some niche tech that will help you a lot with this meta. And if you really don't like what you are seeing, particapte then. Try to replace those decks that you despise. 4. I don't think dkayed really cares about watch time on youtube. Of course it's good but it's a live twitch at first, so if you go logically, his audience that already watched the stream probably won't watch the video again. + If he really wanted to care about watch time, why wouldn't he just upload something else, like himself playing for example ?
Dkayed you might wanna change up the tourney rules cause you will start to have less views for your meta weeklys if the same decks are being played every week but i kinda get that its a literally called “Meta weekly” but I honestly i think there should probably be like bans on certain cards so other decks can actually have a shot, like for example if said deck or card has like a 70% use rate could probably temporarily ban those cards in the deck like poplar or spirit of yubel. Im fine with the hand traps and generic cards like TTK and imperm.
I think the mean reason for tournament is to see how the top tier deck did in the game and how could possibly beat them for example here we saw raigaki did well against yubel even against 10 disruptions so may ppl start using raigaki in the future

Yugioh is getting so terrible. The fact that there’s 15 cards you have to have in your deck to be competitive is so bad. The whole game should just only allow one of or banned.
This guys playing in this tournsment are clowns the branded player, the yubel player having all the control on board and on hand decides to special summon alot while max c was active while there was no need to try to kill him on that turn, and many more 😂 like are these guys on platinum XD

I always think it is stupid, that you can activate Gamma multiple Times after Negation. It should be once per turn.
