The beauty of American English. Thank you Rachel!
You're welcome!
Rachel, thank you! I have been watching your videos for several years, and now I can pronounce every sound correctly and know how to link words together. Cutting lines, and especially intonation, is the weak part for me at present.
Really helpful. I have learned English with you in the last 8 years, it is always a pleasure to learn from you!
I appreciate it @aleman_liss!
Fantastic explanation. Thought groups it is!
Your english really impressed me.
I am a college ALP teacher and a corporate trainer for international executives. I love your videos and refer my students/clients to watch the segments that provide additional practice/explanation on topics we cover. Your videos are clear, focused, with ample examples, and most of all - effective. Thank you!

You too @GeraldoSimoes-sh1rs!
RACHEL"S ENGLISH is a the best in the world
ohh my God,now i understand why they speak like they do, i didnt know about thought group, and i neither didnt know about the reduction and about stress-timed language and syllabe timed language.
Congrats and thanks so much, greetings from medellin,Colombia.
Hey Joseph! What is your mother tongue? I am asking because I thought that every language in this world had "thought groups, reduction, stress-timed syllable"...
Thank's Rachel for another great video 😍😍
Thanks Rachel! although I lived more than half of my life in Canada and I'm considered "fluent", I know I need a lot of help, especially now I'm becoming hearing impaired due to genetic "gifts"... so videos like this one with graphics help me a lot. I'm now away from Canada, back for a few years in my native country where, sadly, many people seem to "hate anything English" on top of a generalized 'anti-American sentiment' :-( :-( :-( so your videos (and internet in general) are a blessing for me - I can keep connected with the language, people and culture I love. Thanks for making this world a better place to live.
You're very much welcome Elena! Very much appreciated:)

Linkin is like flowing in Rap❤️
Now, I fully understand what thought groups are because sometimes I speak too fast without pausing and breathing. And I am having a hard time connecting my speech and it will turn me unclear to others. Thank you, Rachel. I will definitely keep this in mind.
You're very much welcome!
Rachel, I hope you don't consider this comment "spam," but I have to say your work on UA-cam is one of the reasons I got into making ESL videos myself (unfortunately, my voice lacks the clarity of yours). I'm more focused on grammar, vocabulary and usage, but I hope to do pronunciation work too. I'll definitely keep recommending your channel to my students!

Hi Rachel, I like your teaching and It is near many month when I am following your clips. Sometimes some words it is hard me to hear them correctly for example in a lecture It said " that wiped out all the" but how its link that i couldn't realize even after seeing transcript I was in shock how they linked them !! can you me a feedback in this field ?
You could use a flap T to link "out all."
Rachel, what about your podcast ? did you start it?
Your vedio is awesome! Thanke you! But I still have trouble in the quick release T. It sounds like link together :(
Depeding on the situation, that might be just what you want!
How do the d, g, b sound in the words: kids, bags, rubs got unreleased?
Dear Rachel, How to pronounce "Tunisia" ?
I usually hear 2 types of pronunciations, one with Z (Tunizia) and one with J (Tunijia).
Did we pronounce the "ia" at the end as it's, or we pronounce just the "a" (TunisA) ?
Thank you!
Hi Rachel! I've got a question for you. But before I move on to it, I'd like to point out that English is not my first language (my mother tongue is Russian, btw). Now, that being said, here's the thing: I consider my passive vocabulary range to be quite wide, but the problem is, I don't use much words from it (obviously, because it is PASSIVE vocab). And when I talk even to non-native speakers of English, I keep noticing that they use much more enriched and precise vocabulary, which I can't say I am quite good at. So, the question is: how do I divert the words that I have in my passive voacbulary to the active one, how do I, in other words, bring them to the surface? Are there any exercises that, to your mind, may help me develop my ability to find the right words and grammar constructions when and where necessary? Thank you, Paul.

I want to know how to make falling intonation and stress on the content word at the same time like in this statement " My name is Rokaia" the falling intonation happens at the end of the sentence at the word " Rokaia" and the same time ,we should stress on it as a content word .How can I make this?
Right! Here's a playlist to start with: ua-cam.com/play/PLrqHrGoMJdTTSRNwRh0VVjO_KXA1La4Dw.html.
Hey Rachel, when i use google translate, and i want to hear the pronunciation, the voice of the woman of google translate is similar to your voice, is that true that that's your voice?
What happens when you don't have commas (some kind of punctuation) and they ask you to identify the thought groups?
I have a book with audios, but when I listen to them I can't identify any pause.
