I picked up a Karma only a few weeks after they were first released in the uk around 2001/02, i decided to snub the more popular Triton in favour of it and never regreted it. Went for the Karma because of the power of the arpeggio engine and the quality of the inspirational presets. I still use the arpeggio engine today as it just has endless possibilities and is the starting place for so many good ideas. I also own a Novation Nova 2 and Nord Lead 2 which are also brilliant synths, especially the Nova 2.
I'm an owner of the KARMA and its been sitting there in the duct up until I learned the BLUES SCALE. I now can lead/solo, use the pitch bend and play along with a backtracks! I LOVE MY KARMA NOW!
The karma has been my secret weapon since 2012. Whenever someone asks me, "I can't place that one element in your track what was that"? It's usually always the karma.
@@gearfacts I would co-sign that but NOT a soft synth version. The boys over at synth memes would be a tither. While on that topic, I would love see Florian Pilz of Bad Gear give the KARMA the treatment. Despite the name, he really does a good job bringing renewed light to somewhat forgotten gear.
One of my regerts in life is not buying one of these 20 years ago because I lacked the ability to properly save money and just got things like Electribes each time I got paid. Turned out I didn't really like the tribes that much and ended up trading them to get another Boss Dr.Ryhthm.
@@gearfacts yes was a nice change to have a beautiful Red colour instead of the usual run of the mill black or silver, Noticed Yamaha copied the same colour on the endy bits of one of their machines, Korg did try and stand out from the rest, and of course the beautiful blue hue from the Triton extreme and slight gold tinge from Triton Studio.
As a secondary, yes. But then original tritons, triton le, and extremes are at churches everywhere still so it’s possible. I used an x3 at church one time and it went quite well. If you can get the acoustic sounds to do rigt, I’d say go for it. Pads tho, you’ll bring worship right in from a place it never came from before.

Yep it's in a class of its own. Wish korg would do a mini version.

@@soamericandad Yeah he's great, I received a shout-out from him once :)
I still use mine! Always discover something new. An amazing instrument ❤️
Got mine last December :)
So glad not many people use this synth.. because I'm all over it at the moment. Since I got mine in May this year I've not really used my DAW!
I profoundly regret selling it :( GF
@@gearfacts just get another one!
Yeah, I just missed out on one locally for $AU495 ... Couldn't really afford/justify it anyway!
@@gearfacts got mine of ebay, they turn up every now an then.

Karma a bitch

Wow that thing is awesome
I have this synth also, I would never sell as it’s such a beautiful looking metallic red and really sits well above my Triton Extreme and Oasys 88.
Yep. Looks are all part of it. No denying.

Just bought a Karma cheap on Craigslist. Been loving it!
Nice work, I haven't seen a Karma "cheap" anywhere ever!
Bought the Karma in 2001 still have it. Still learning new things from it. The sounds are dated tho.
you can program any types sounds you want to hear.
Wait until sounds become “vintage” and people will hunt for them again… :)
Yes it is the sexiest synth ever.
I concur ;)
Thoughts on using this in a church? 🤔😁
I think it's a bit too alternative, tbh

Should make a karma 2.....on it's own....not part of a kronos🥳🥳🥳🥳
I would be very down with that :) #gearfacts
Me a new versión Karma II ;)
They should make an M4 too. The karma and m3 are unique in their own way.
I got two of these babies and there korg tr61 brother.
Bought one for 200 Euros yesterday. Amazing how cheap they've become!
Wow bargain, they're not cheap here!
Sell it to me for 2001 euros

I,only have 500$ ....

But you don't even show it, just a slideshow w pictures. Lame
It’s an audio demo. What did you want to know specifically? Happy to answer any questions
@@gearfacts I was expecting to see in action, but then I noticed you had another video on it anyways. Apologies, that was just disappointing at first
