Know more about the various intricacies involved.
Special thanks to ESPN Cricinfo, American Tourister & Melinda Farrell for their efforts in making this video possible.
Look at how the person stitches the seam of the ball, I am astounded to note how efficient human skills are compared to a machine. Wow!
Most important difference between SG & Kookaburra balls is that Kookaburra balls are machine stiched which wears off quickly where as SG brand and Duke brand balls are hand stiched...
The middle two seams of Kookaburra balls are also hand-stitched: ua-cam.com/video/4acrj2LlpF8/v-deo.html
@@ML-vl7gt well thats hardly the same as dukes or sg ! both these have 4 stitches holding the leather pieces together ; more tension !
Q.Why different balls are used in different cricketing nations?
Ans)) Its because of home conditions. INDIA is humid and have extreme climate .Also many grounds have dusty pitches so we use SG balls as it has thick leather and seam so that it can sustain the wear and tear and friction. Kookabura is used almost in all cricketing nations . It resembles closely to SG as it is made according to Australian conditions and some pitches there are dusty like india and temperature can go above 40°C as happens in India (But those pitches have more bounce). Kookabura balls have thin leathers compared to SG and the Seam is machine stiched unlike hand stiched seam of SG balls. DUKES ball on the other hand is much different from SG and Kookabura. Its more swinging ,more spinning and perfect for english conditions. Also it can sustain humid weather but equatorial .It is said that DUKES is best for cold and moderate temperature, but there are no evidences about that whether it will perform well in Asian conditions. DUKES seam is also hand stitched and also uses thick leather. Among the three balls DUKES have a dark red maroon type colour and SG have a very dark red brownish colour whereas Kookabura have a light red colour compared the the above both .SG spins more compared to the others. SG has best and thickest seam among all three. Australia,NZ,Pak,SA,ZIM,SL, BAN uses Kookabura ball in home conditions.West Indies,IRE and England uses DUKES ball . India ,Afghanistan and Nepal uses SG ball in their home conditions.
NOTE :- 1)BAN and Afghanistan rotates between the SG and Kookabura balls.
2)IRE rotates between Kookabura and DUKES balls.
3)India used the Red and white Kookabura ball till 1995 as it suited the best for the indian conditions at that time untill SG was accepted to be used.
FACT - The quality of Red SG balls were questionable around 2 years ago ,but now it is proved and certified by BCCI and ICC that they good for test cricket as it certified the Kookabura and DUKES balls.
Ocassionally matches have been played in different countries with different balls and the consideration of these balls in their respective home conditions depends on these performances.
It is always said that Kookabura balls generally help Fast bowlers as it swings alot in home conditions of Australia,New Zealand and many times in countries like Pak and SL.
Seems to know you have great knowledge about balls 🤌
U have shown here u r maturity Danny mehta. Language is meant to communicate to exchange thoughts, feelings.
RIP UR knowledge
The outer stitches in kookaburra balls are only for showing, they are not functional, they don't hold the two leather cups.. where as in case of dukes and sg the outer stitches are functional and do the exact thing they are for

SG is best because honest people are keeping their jobs too. Not much machines here.
No quality check
Hato se Banaya jata ha machine se nahi jo quality check ho
Infrastructure at the unit is pathetic and unhygienic for a company producing first class cricket balls, workers deserve better equipments, tools, protection gears etc.
the leather is made up of cow 😔 or what
Give me a cricket bat for free
Sudhansukumar Maharana go to the factory and make one ☺

Danny Mehta mate, nothing is wrong with his English. I bet you would be utter shit yourself.
